Don’t stay here if you don’t want to get ripped off. We lived in one of their condos for 3 months and they took a 1000 dollars as security deposit from us. While leaving the apartment, we made sure that to clean up everything. We both teach at the University of Alabama. We have lived in apartments before when we were students and were well-aware how they try to rip you off your security deposit money. So this time we were extra careful making sure to scrub the floors, walls, appliances and leave the apartment clean. We even got the property manager to clear the checklist and do an inspection the day we left. Despite this, they sent us a bill of 1300 dollars. When inquired, they replied saying that they replaced the entire carpet because of some watery stain and they changed the wooden floor because of one sticker removal mark (photo attached). The photo of the stain they sent us was laughable and could have been easily removed by deep pressure cleaning. The sticker mark is easily removable as well. But they thought of this as a wonderful opportunity to rip us off the 1000 dollars. And who on earth replaces an entire wooden floor because of one sticker? This was laughable! We don’t mind paying money if the reason is duly justifiable but this was ridiculousness at best! As a faculty member at the university, I will advise all incoming students to NOT stay at this place and look for other places near the campus.

My daughter lives here and she absolutely loves it! I couldnt ask for a better place for my baby to be while away at college. Her condo is so big, and the amenities are great. The staff is so friendly, Leah was a huge help during our leasing process.

Love living at Houndstooth, I have lived here for two years and plan on staying another. My two bedroom condo is so spacious. My roommate and I love the tailgating parties for football. ROLL TIDE We also love spending our summer out by the pool.

The best student housing in the area!! I love it here and will most definitely stay until I graduate. Very spacious, perfect location, great amenities and amazing management. Cant say enough good things!

I’ve lived at Houndstooth for a year now and I’ve loved it. The rooms are very spacious, amenities are very nice, and management on site is a charm to work with. It’s close to campus, which makes my morning commute to class easy.

I have loved living here the past year and have renewed my lease for the current year! The staff is so nice and helpful, and always accommodate to my needs. My room & closet is much larger than any of my friends who live at different properties!!!

Houndstooth offers the best student housing in the area. I love how large the floor plans are. The condos offer a welcoming and homey place to come home to after a day of classes.

I love living here! It is so nice to have such a short walk to campus and I LOVE the walk in closets!

I really enjoyed the time that I lived here. The staff is super friendly and easy going and the amenities are awesome.

Management is Lackluster. The apartments are old and torn up. Most of them have rotting balconies or rotted tile in the bathroom. Never again.
