Photographed an event here and just have to say its probably one of the prettiest venues in the area ! Staff was attentive and professional and everything was handled so well ! I hope to do more events here in the future
The hall is beautiful, food is excellent, service is pretty good, pricing is pretty expensive. Main reason for the lower score is missing food at the end of the event. Paid for approximately 50 extra servings of chicken/kabob plates received everything left over (and there was alot of rice and chicken) except ironically the kabobs. Either they werent cooked at all or were taken/eaten by staff. When questioning the kitchen their response was there wasnt any left over. Really expected more, very disappointed with the response.My recommendation is dont order extra, have assigned seating to ensure you get what you paid for.
A beautiful venue for weeding or receptions and company events. Then owners and coordinators are very helpful and accommodating. A must see for your next event

The grand oak and Angelica are a delight to work with. Every concern and alteration we needed to make they were flexible and understanding. They worked wi Th is to make our day special and we couldn’t have been in better hands. Angelica is an amazing coordinator. She is creative, very organized and tech savvy which I needed!! The Grand Oak is a beautiful venue too, looking forward to having our wedding there!

This venue is absolutely stunning simply on its own! Angelica, the Event Director and Manager, was very thorough and informative and had an answer/solution for every single question we threw at her. She knows her stuff.For someone like me, who is overly organized and extremely detail-oriented, Im confident Angelica and the Grand Oak staff will be great to work with and help make our big day go smoothly and beautifully. We cant wait to have our wedding here!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I was supposed to get married here October 25th but due to Covid I decided 3 months before that it wouldnt be a good idea. I had put my deposit down already so I messaged them telling them I couldnt have it cause of the rules of stanislaus county that there could not be large groups. They told me too bad and that I cant get my deposit back since they could still have it. Like what? How can you still have it? I called the state and the county and they both told me it wasnt allowed. So I sent them images from the county website saying large groups arent allowed and they told me that they wont give my deposit back til THEY HAVE TO CANCEL! They even told me when I signed my contract that if Covid was still going strong that they will give my deposit back! I was trying to be civil and nice but then another lady (she works for yonans floral but is the owner of the venues daughter) started saying I was threatening them and that she didnt want to speak to me about this issue anymore even tho my wedding contract was in my name?!? How does that even make sense! Ed (the owner) and his daughter were being so rude during this stressful time. I do not suggest this place at all. They take advantage of people.

My fiancé and I searched for a wedding venue near Modesto. We did a few tours but I couldn’t find the place that sold me to rent... until I came across this place. I think this banquet hall is PERFECT for my wedding venue! My fiancé fell in love with it and so did her friends. This banquet hall in Turlock is the best venue I’ve ever seen in our area and I’m so excited to have my wedding here. The staff (Angelica) is very professional and she cared about my budget. We are booked for Jan! Thank you grand oak!
