I took my 2016 Toyota highlander in for an oil change like i have before and it was great i just love how nice everyone is. They are a great group of men and women who know how to run a business. I will forever take my cars there as long as they are honest. That is so hard to find with most mechanic shops.

Not a single person in the offices was wearing a mask. There must have been 20 people in the room. The serviceman was very nice, professional and courteous as well as the cashier. I am new to the area and came here on recommendations from many coworkers. They finished my alignment fast and the price was reasonable. I noticed there isn’t even a sign on the door requiring a mask.

I was in a tight spot as farvas time goes and Ben fit me in took care of issues with my van and more and the prices were very affordable in my opinion. I definitely recommend.

Best in town. The professionalism of each associate is what shines here. Youre treated with respect and will not be taken advantage of by use of shady marketing tactics like other maintenance shops. My family has used Balswicks for the past 10 years after finding them to be the most consistent/respectful shop around. We most recently had an old 08 Accord serviced by Balswicks; nothing special about this car, but the time was taken to throw in a complimentary car wash before I picked up the vehicle. Going above and beyond sets them apart. Give them a shot!

These guys are never anything except kind and knowledgeable with me. As someone who does his own work on vehicles, I know enough to know that they have never tried to sell me a service that I didnt need. I trust them with all my vehicles when I dont want to or cant do the work myself.

All of the staff were very friendly, very kind, very attentive. I had a shake whenever I went past 60 and they were able to figure it out right away, they corrected the errors of my previous service at a different shop.

It took 100lbs of torque to remove the oil plug from my truck after getting my oil changed from there. The manager was rude. Would not recommend this place to anyone they will waste your time.

Have gone here for over 20 years. Theyve always been honest with and are willing to work with me when its out of budget. They talk me through what needs to be done and let me decide. Great service great work.

Went in for a tire rotation this morning and Im not sure how to complain because it was free but I shouldnt have to clean grime afterwards. In addition the rotation pattern they used isnt whats recommend for AWD vehicles.

I have gone there twice, first for a single new tire and then to buy 3 new tires. They will get your tires done ASAP. My parents have gone there before, many times also for minor and major work. Will be going back in the future.

I seriously have to say this place is amazing. I had went to Walmart to get an oil change and they denied me due to a Oversized oil plug damaged part and basically brush me off. I went to balswick to see if I can get the part fixed and they did! They were able to get it out place a new one and do my oil change for a decent price! I will be coming back again and I will be referring others to come here as well. I’m highly satisfied and definitely appreciate all that they do.

I had ordered Goodyear tires straight from the Goodyear website and chose Balswicks as my tire installer. Turned out to be a good choice since they were courteous and quick. The initial process of bringing my car in wasnt lengthy and full of upsells like it is at Americas Tires, so that was a definite upside to trying a new installer. I was also able to wait in the waiting area with plenty of social distancing space and A/C which I really appreciated. Overall good experience and I recommend it to anyone who likes it straightforward & to the point without the worry that they are trying to upsell you on things you dont need.

The crew at Balswick Tire are the best. I went in there to check out a tire that was leaking air. They checked it out for me and fixed it with no charge. Great job.

Im not near any of this chains shops, BUT I appreciate their stance in response to Goodyears decision to go woke by banning conservative expressions while fully endorsing Liberal/Leftist politicking and sloganeering. I go to a car shop to have my car repaired, not to be subjected to some execs or salespersons political views. Likewise, I buy tires so my car has something between it and the road, not to support woke politics and blatant discrimination on behalf of progressivism. Balswicks decision to disassociate itself from Goodyear and their heinous politicking is a sign of real professionalism - as well as patriotism. Should I ever need tires again, I can assure you that they will NOT be Goodyears and if I ever need my car attended to in the Turlock, California area, I will seek out Balswicks.

I have been here several times to get auto repair and always left a happy camper. One time I went in about a horrible noise my car was making. It sounded like my engine was going to fall out. One of the mechanics said a motor mount was on upside down and he flipped it real quick. Charged me nothing! However, Some prices are a bit more compared to other shops. You get what you pay for.

Please stay away and support shops that supports Made in USA products/companies.

Ive been getting my oil changed here for over a year now and I have always been treated well. They take care of my car and explain everything everytime. I drive 6 hours at least twice a month and my car still runs strong thanks to their honest service!

Like most people Im not rich and its so wonderful when you have a car problem to have a Great and Professional place to take it to. Id give them more than 5 stars if it allowed me to.

Complete rip off. They tried to charge me $1600 for 4 new tires and front breaks, I went another local business and they tell me all the breaks and rotars needed to be replaced as well, without cutting any corners they replaced all 4 tires all 4 rotars and all 4 breaks for $1100.

They lie, lie, lie thru their teeth! Had just replaced one of the ball joints myself, and checked all arms and other ball joints. Took it in 3 days later to get an estimate on tires. They told me my ball joints were old and worn out and they had caused my shocks to go bad as well. Quoted $1,900!!! They said the exact same thing about my other vehicle last year!! Told me my shocks were worn out and leaking, but it was not true!!!

Great customer service. Came here for a tire repair after I took my vehicle to another place across town that told me my tire was not repairable and topped it off with telling me I needed all new tires on a 2 year old vehicle. Balswicks was able to repair my tire, no problem! Was a pleasant experience being 9 weeks pregnant, grumpy and having 3 kids in tow. Thank you for your great service, I will definitely return for future needs.

Rudest customer service. Tried to charge for parts I know I didnt need. Got the job done for half the price of their estimate from a reputable company with a lifetime warranty. This is the second time weve gone to them. Last time they wanted $1100 for a job that I got done for $150. Will not recommend them, or go back to them again.

Make sure to get a second opinion before agreeing to have them do any repairs. According to balswicks I needed a $388.00 repair in order to achieve alignment, however I knew this couldn’t be right since I had recently repaired what they said needed repairing. I took it to golden state tire and 45 minutes later my truck was aligned without having to do any repairs first. I’m glad I took it elsewhere because I’m much happier having spent $50.00 versus $388.00.

THE staff was friendly helpful and professional.they took care of my needs, i will surely return and recommend them to my friends. Actually I spoke too soon the mechanical part of balswick Im sure is very good but theyre detailer did a very bad job in my car had to take it back twice and still not good!

First time I’ve been in there in a while and the guys at the front desk made me feel uncomfortable, didn’t take me seriously, and were extremely unprofessional. The only service I got was from Keith, he seems to do his own thing and is actually respectful and professional with his customers. The bald guy in the office was whispering into another guy employees ear and staring at me when I went to talk to Keith as if I hadn’t just talked to them. Other than Keith, I won’t talk to anyone there because they make me feel extremely uncomfortable. The feeling of the office is very anxious. There’s no real warmth or inviting feeling from the people that I’ve dealt with other than Keith and his mechanic. I have to say, my family has been going to Balswicks for years and believe that this family owned business is honest and wholesome but some of the people that are in the the office just don’t make our family feel comfortable. They are a little more than most places, but they really do try to fix the issue and understand that things come up. I trust them and their knowledge completely. I really am thankful I can bring my car to them and feel like I’m not getting ripped off and actually get some knowledge about cars as well! Supporting this local business is right for the community and for auto owners looking to get their car fixed. I highly recommend it to people who want quality and good honest work put into their car. Other than some of the people who work there, I believe that it would be five stars if some of the people were either replaced or the owners rehired. Balswicks would be absolutely amazing if Keith was running the hiring. We need more people like Keith! That guy deserves a raise!

I would not wish such an unpleasant experience on anyone. When you walk in this place, these guys come off like you walked into unwelcomed territory. The tall bald guy in the office gives you a cold stare the second you walk through the front door, has a bad attitude and is argumentative when serving customers. This specific person is clearly not held accountable for his actions nor his poor service by anyone. They are certainly money hungry. Customer service IS NOT a priority here. If you dont know what your doing, they will talk you into unnecessary expenses. The environment at this shop is like they are this club of buddys, and if you dont hit it off right with them theyll treat you like dirt. Balswicks Tire and Auto Service on Golden State is exactly what mechanic shops should not be.

I had a nail in my tire 😫 and I stopped by for a repair. To say that communication was a problem would be a galactic understatement!. He seemed to be having a really bad day ☹️. He got it done 15 minutes to pull a nail, he broke the nail in 1/2.. Fun times.. Trying to pay with my credit and or Debit card seemed to be beyond comprehension . So to kick the good times into high gear, he didnt have change for a 20.. The man really doesnt like Wight Boys.. ???👼😥

These people are simply the best at what they do and how they do it. No B.S. just an earnest review, if it kicks them a couple extra customers??? Its a win win for everyone. They are HONEST, SYMPATHETIC, HARDWORKING. They wont try to gouge you, upsell product or bill ghost repairs. I HATED having to take a vehicle in for any repairs anywhere because not only is the vehicle a worry, you worry about the competence and integrity of who you choose to fix it. I still absolutely dread a check engine light!!!! But I dont worry a bit about who I take it to anymore!. Im a Balswick customer till the day I die. As Hank Hill says, Hes my guy. Period.

Paid for a full car inspection They came back saying the tires failed so paid I him $25 for nothing. So i asked if i bought new tires there and had them install them right then could you pass the inspection. He said no you have to pay another $25 to do another full car inspection that they just did 5 min before. Just a money hungry company they have NO customer service skills what so ever. Or at least the guy we dealt with didnt. Do not recommend this company.

I was traveling from Davis to UCLA to pick up my son when I heard a loud noise from my right rear axle; a Toyota very condescendent serviceman in Stockton dismissed it as you probably picked up some debris on the road, dear and told me they couldnt even look at my car for 2 hrs; I made it to Turlock where I found Balswicks: before I even sat down my car was up and being worked on; I had a broken brake shoe spring that was intermittently catching, the car was not even drivable! Within 1.5 hours they had fixed it and done a complete break job. AMAZING!!!! Also very pleasant, professional, courteous, understanding of the situation; I would consider driving to Turlock for my next tire/shock job!
