Love these people π. They are great love all the volunteers who help with meals, laundry, food etc. Theyve been real good to us in our stay with them.
It is a pleasure to work for a faith forward nonprofit with Christian values. Coworkers are there to lift you up in prayer or to help in any way you may need. Being able to serve the mission by helping guests every day is inspiring. You get to see the impact you make in peopleβs lives immediately. The work environment is positive and the office hours are ideal, with several paid holidays each year (including your birthday). Leadership provides a challenging work experience, and the organizationβs core values of biblical hospitality, love, faith, compassion, and excellence are practiced daily.
They were awesome. I will always appreciate the help they provide while my son was dying. I did not worry about any thing. I just stayed with my son in I.C.U.
Honestly, I cant say enough good things about the HH!! The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable!! Its quiet and feels like home!! Theres a hot meal provided almost every night, and the rooms are finished with some bits to eat as well!!! We are still currently using the room while my father in law is in the hospital!!! We almost lost him. You can come and go as needed. Its just all around comfortable..
The concept behind HH is great. However, during covid-19 only one person per day is allowed in the hospital. Once Sommer learned that my wife would be the only one visiting she asked that I leave. Our question is why would I have to leave, we understand that HH policy is you must visit the hospitalized person at least 50% of the time. But with the pandemic in full swing and the hospitals rules regarding visitation why were we not allowed to stay in the same place. Typically families travel together and stay in the same place. Sommer did suggest that I go home and HH would be happy to drive my wife home. However we live several hours away in another state. We understand that rules/ policies are in place to keep those from abusing HH s generosity. Under normal circumstances both of us would have been at the hospital, but werent allowed due to covid. Perhaps while we are under the constraints of covid the policy should be revisited.
My wife and I, plus several family members at different times stayed here recently while our daughter was in the ICU at OSU medical center. The suite we were given was very nice. It was clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The staff at the hospitality house were very pleasant and helpful. My family and I are thankful the hospitality house was made available to us during a difficult and stressful time.
HHoT was a godsend for me. My mother was hospitalized for 3 months. HH gave me a wonderful place to stay so I could be with Mom. The entire staff, especially my weekend gal, were wonderful! When Mom passed, they cried with me. Five stars are not enough. β₯οΈπππππππππππππ
Its an oasis in desert. I am amazed at the hospitality, empathy and care they show towards the people occupying this accommodation in need. They will let the needy know about availability proactively after receiving their request from valid sources. Such an amazing people. Couldnt have asked or got a better accommodation anytime. Way to go. Such organizations are a boon to society. They are indeed blessings from God.
The management and their employees are very nice. Its within walking distance to the Hillcrest Medical Center
They took such great care of me and my family while my brother was in hospital
Wonderful & enriching place to volunteer & work! The president & CEO is a true woman of God who leads by example. She genuinely loves the guests, volunteers, staff, and donors. In this day & age, its hard to find people who express love & hospitality in word, and more importantly in deed; but the president & CEO does just that!I witnessed her humilty & integrity first hand. She jumped in to help clean (what president & CEO do you know whod do that?!); she gave comfort & encouragement to guest. Inspite of her busy schedule, she lent her ears to listen to guests stories & experiences, and so much more!EVERY donation given, actually goes to help the families. So if youre looking for a place to sow your seed, that will actually be utilized to help those in need, then plant your seed here! Its furtile soil.
Beautiful, friendly, helpful, were truly blessed.Thank you.....β£οΈ

This is a great place to stay or take a shower. When you cant afford a place or find a place to take a shower when you have family in the hospital.
My. Sis stayed there when I was hospitalized. She said that they were amazing!!!!!

When my dad was dying this place offered me not only a place to stay, but warmth, compassion and a sense of peace. Thank God for refuge in the storm.
My baby boy is in the nicu and without the hospitality House Id not be able to be w him.
