Excellent luthier. Very thorough with repairs. I am always excited to hear my instrument after theyve worked on it. Also fine selection of bows, strings and other things we need as musicians. I wont shop any where else for my violin needs.

I went into this shop a few years ago to buy a violin for my daughter. It just so happens that one of the gentlemen who works there, Paul Roberts, also is a violin instructor. Mr. Roberts began teaching my daughter and step daughter, both 9 at the time, and they really enjoyed it! Mr. Roberts is an excellent instructor and really knows how to connect with young children. We always sat through each lesson to observe and could really see their improvement each time. I would highly recommend Mr. Roberts if youre interested in getting a young person started with violin or viola. He is respectful, flexible, and his rate is very reasonable. You will not be disappointed!

Ive bought every violin Ive owned since I was ten years old from Tulsa Strings. They have always been extremely helpful and insightful. They also have incredible prices for incredible instruments that would cost you twice as much at other stores. My German-made violin crafted in 1840 was only $1,200. Ive seen lesser quality instruments newer than that for three times as much online. (The more aged the violin, the better it sounds!) Will always be a faithful customer.

This place is amazing, I had no idea that you could rent a violin or viola. These guys are great. Some 60 dollars to rent a violin for 3 months. The terms are really fair, and if you decide to buy, it comes off the sales price. I highly recommend going here first if you are looking for a quality instrument.

If you want top quality in Oklahoma, these are the people to go to. Just over a year ago, about 8 months after I started learning violin, I went to them and bought an English violin made in the 1690s which they had completely restored. The extent of the repairs over its lifespan had its selling price over 1/3 below the sound quality it produced. Concert artist sound quality at a fraction of the price when the repairs are flawlessly done and the instrument perfectly stable? I was so sold…Fast forward a year later, the bridge (which was the one that had come to them with the instrument) collapsed and broke clean in half, so I commissioned Jacob to carve a new one. Their bridges range in price depending on the quality you want, so I went with the best quality to match the quality of my instrument. What I received is truly extraordinary craftsmanship, and the sound is even better than when I bought it!My instruments rich, deep, velvety sound paired with Evah Pirazzi G, D, and A strings and a Tzigane strong tension E string, now on a bridge carved to utmost quality by Jacob, is truly a joy to learn on. Ive also gotten two bow rehairs from them which were both flawlessly done. Dont just have them service your instrument… Buy one of theirs to start with! Their in-house restorations and setups mean they are able to sell you higher quality way, way below retail shop prices. If you go somewhere purely retail, youre gonna pay a lot more for a lot less.

Jacob is a treasure! He is the only person I trust in Oklahoma with my violin and viola. His skills as a luthier are on par with those of the best craftsmen in New York and Boston. His staff consists of active performers and trained musicians who can give you the best advice about equipment. I send all of my students to his shop and have never heard anything other than rave reviews about the service they have received.

A great place to get your budding young musician an instrument. We rented a Violin for my daughter and the entire experience was wonderful. Professional service, great initial instruction, and a quality instrument. When we are ready to purchase a Violin for her, we will be buying it from Tulsa Strings.

Good service. I had a bow re-haired here and the re-hairs are warrantied. I was glad to hear of some potential things to watch out for with maintenance of the bow too.
