Don’t help kids and families

I gave them 2 stars because they seemed to know their stuff and have a lot of knowledge. Also because they have one of the best play rooms Ive seen in a waiting room, as well as the counseling room itself having an awesome play area. And I thought the therapy dog was a nice touch. But, with that being said, I was really unimpressed overall. My son saw Ashley. When she came out to meet him and say hello, I was assuming that being a childrens counselor she would be friendly and good with kids, and try to make him feel comfortable. Unfortunately that wasnt the case. She didnt smile once that I remember, and when he said Hi! to her she said Hi. I have 3 rules. and spouted off the rules with zero friendliness. Ive worked with kids my while life and this is NO way to interact with kids, ESPECIALLY kids who are in therapy for goodness sakes. Needless to say, I took him somewhere else to someone who knew how to interact with kids, and we never had a 2nd session. I normally dont post these, but decided to as a warning to anyone else who is looking for someone for their kids.

Due to a series of family deaths within a year, we chose Ashley to help our family in a time of great crisis. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the methods she used to turn things around for our grieving and anxious child. She was always open and available even for last minute parent consultations. My child felt instantly comfortable with her and was able to express herself in safe place.
