Thanks to J.D. at Geeks to the Rescue for knowing just the right simple fix for my Surface Pro this afternoon. With his magic touch, it took him 5 minutes or less to do what I had unsuccessfully attempted on my own. And, he did not charge us for the imposition. I promised to recommend him highly and I know where to go should I run into computer issues in the future.

My laptop was repaired in less than 24 hours. It works great. They applied updates and cleaned out dust that was causing excess heat. Repair cost was good value.

My wife took in my Toshiba laptop in because the DVD drive was not working and wanted them to fix or replace it. Instead for $129 I got a external DVD which I will have to carry around with the laptop until I can get a replacement for the internal DVD which costs $30 and I will replace it..

I have been doing business with Geek Rescue located on 61st and memorial in Tulsa Ok for several years. They have done a good job for me, in a timely fashion and fair price! One thing that I really admire about this business is their good communication manners. If customer has any questions about their computer issues, or the price or the time they need, they can feel free to present it to the Greek Rescue manager. And the member of management will pleasantly cooperate with them anyway they can! That is what I call, Good customer service!!!! Thank you Geek Rescue management!!

Geek Rescue failed to show for 1 pm appointment yesterday. At 1:40, the dispatcher was unable to reach their service tech by phone. We rescheduled for 830 am today. They called back to move it to 9 am. They had not arrived by 920 am so we called again. They said they had called yesterday afternoon and left a message to change the appt to 1130 today. Turns out they did call, but they called the business number rather than the cell number they had on the order and from which we had been communicating all along. So, we gave up on Geek Rescue tired of waiting for no shows and tired of rescheduling appointments at their convenience. Instead, went to Microsoft Store in Woodland Hills Malls and had issue fixed before we could finish our small bottles of water they gave us. Well not inconvenience Geek Rescue with any subsequent service call appointments as it is apparent they have too much on their plate already. I would, however, suggest that if you are going to be in the service business, you do two things: 1) show up for appts on time and 2) answer your phone when your dispatcher is trying to reach you when you are 40 minutes late for an appt.

As a small company we use Geek Rescue as an adjunct to our internal staff, particularly regarding hardware and networking issues. They have always been very responsive and quick to resolve issues. I would definitely recommend them based on my experience.

My sons tablet would not charge all the time, so I took it in to have it fixed. They said they had to order a part and it would take 4-6 weeks. I got a call 2 weeks later saying it was done. It charged the first couple of times and then wouldnt charge anymore. I called to tell them and they only give a 2 week warranty on their work and I was told they arent really working on tablets anymore. I dont think they ever replaced the part. Would not recommend.

I went in and Dropped off my laptop (Had a broke screen) and asked for a quote. I told them not to do anything until got an estimate. They called my wife the next day and said it would cost $218 to replace the broke screen, so I called up there and told them no that was to high. They said it was $100 for a used screen $200 for a new one. (I bought one brand new for $85 afterwards). Apparently they take 2 hours to replace a screen at $25/ 30min, (I found a video of it and the guy explained how to do it and took it off and put it on in 20 min), they should be able to replace a screen in under 30 min since it is what they do all day. Needless to say they are just out to get more money, I would never refer them to anyone, and if I find an issue I cant solve I will be taking my stuff elsewhere. Oh, and I still had to pay them $54.50 for them to tell me my screen was broke, Which I told them. This is the website I ordered from and saw the video on how to fix it.

My laptop recently broke and that was a big problem since I am a interior designer who works from home and all my specialized software and information about the different projects I work on is stored there. I had to get it fixed as soon as possible because I couldnt afford to lose any time as there were several deadlines I had to meet. Luckily for me the guys at Geeks to the Rescue got the problem sorted out in under 3 hours. It turned out the problems was with the CPU but I didnt really understand much. I was just really happy that I could continue on with my work without loosing too much time.

To amend my previous review - while we still do not have our data back yet, Geek Rescue has agreed to recover any data that may be left on our physical server in an attempt to gain the lost three months of data that was not backed up. While this has not been an idea exchange, I feel like we are finally working together to resolve the situation.- - - -Our business has been using Geek Rescue to back up our two servers for several months. Recently, when one server crashed, we were told that the past three months of data had not been uploaded to them due to an OS incompatibility. They tried to tell us that they had tried to contact us about the issue, but being a business with regular hours we would have received any call they would have made and no emails were sent to us from the company. However, when our company credit card was compromised, they had no problem contacting us to get a new form of payment. Now after two days, we are still calling and waiting to hear back from anyone at the company who can get our recovered files back from their storage (without the past three months of course). We need to be able to access these files and are beyond frustrated with the entire process. Once we get our files back we will be switching to a different company.
