Had a very unprofessional experience with Sunbelt in Tulsa. They listed a business for sale, I inquired and was interested in the business. I called the listing broker, and was very put off by her-- she was very short with me, and did not seem like she wanted to answer any of my questions. I have inquired via phone, and email. She quickly asked, Well, did you sign the non-disclosure form? when I asked if there was a NDA I can see. I simply replied no, since I never received anything from their office. She instructed me to go on their website to inquire again and they will send me the document to sign. No problem-- I hung up and did so. I waited 3 days, and finally received the document to sign.I signed the document instantly and returned it back to them. No updates or follow up from this broker after I signed the form and shared my personal information with them.1 week later, I followed up-- only to get short answers again, and was told they dont have the NDA because the sellers never completed it. (Well, you couldve told me this when I first inquired, and not give me misinformation as if you had everything-- also, why did you list a business if you did not have the proper documents?)I waited another week... and inquired again since I was going to be in the area and wanted to meet with the broker or see the business. I was told to call next week (the week Ill be in town) and they will discuss it with me. (I still have not received ANY information about the business at this point).Another week passed, and I called the broker again since I was on my way into town. She then directed me to call their lead broker to discuss it with him.I then called him, and he discussed it with me-- telling me there has been an appraisal on the business and the price has changed. I said sure, no problem, Im still interested so I would like to see whatever information you can share with me, especially since Ill be in the area. (At this point, I still have yet to get ANY information regarding the business, only what was listed online). The broker sends me an email with the write up summary he did-- the price DOUBLED from the listing price. I had some concerns about the summary he sent me so I decided maybe its not worth my time to be looking into this business after all, especially with the way Ive been treated being strung along for information. (This was just a summary the broker wrote up, this was not even the NDA completed by the seller).Another week has passed and this broker has yet to change the listing on the business to what was reflected in the summary he sent me.I find this really unprofessional and disrespectful as a prospective buyer. This broker shouldve never listed the business online if they did not have the proper documents nor the correct listing price and information. They should also go in and fix the listing immediately when they knew the listing price has changed. This only made it seemed like they only raised the price to me so I stop inquiring about the business, but why? If you have someone whos interested why wouldnt you be respectful and work with them? You mightve sold the business youre listing.
