BUYER BEWARE!DO NOT use this pool company! Read all of the reviews… you will see a common theme. Work gets done to a certain point, handing them the 2nd to last check, and then nothing for MONTHS…. If ever! We signed 11.30.20. Melanie & Patrick will tell you it is COVID and material shortages due to being non-essential, which may be true for reputable companies, but for Imperial it is more of an issue with paying vendors and sub-contractors, or actually NOT paying them and they have an extremely limited number of resources. Subsequently, many people in the pool industry have told us how they will NOT work with Patrick.We read the reviews before hand and my husband being in construction said, “it might be bad but it can’t be that bad. I deal with sub-contractors and I will stay on top of them.” Well, it is worse than bad, it is the most horrific experience we’ve ever had to deal with. It is no exaggeration when I say that I WISH we had gone with ANYONE but Imperial. If you are shopping around and hear long project completion timelines, don’t let that deter you. Imperial will tell you what you want to hear and then have ridiculous excuse after excuse for why your pool, I’m sorry, the hole in your backyard sits with nothing being done. If you are shopping around and hear that things you want for your pool and yard are upgrades with other companies but standard features with Imperial… don’t fall for it. Pay the extra money for a company that is reputable and will do the work properly. In the end, you won’t see those things from Imperial anyway. To quote Patrick on the completion of our pool, “honestly brother your done when it’s done.” Not something you want to hear from someone you are paying thousands of dollars to.Also, as other reviews have stated, the work that they do is done poorly and we are finding out the same.They are poorly managed both financially and ethically.It is criminal that Patrick, Imperial Pools & whatever company he changes to in the future can pull this scam over and over again… don’t be fooled!

I felt in order to just be a decent human being for my community I needed to write a review. Save yourself and listen to the reviewers! Check the ROC complaints against them. As well as the BBB complaints; that they are no longer accredited with.Personally, I have a pool build that was signed June 2020 and we are now 10months in and its not completed, just a dirty concrete hole. They have left my family with excuse after excuse and sometimes just gone completely MIA for months, so long so, that our permits expired and had to be reissued. Communication is atrocious, random people will just show up unannounced in your yard and no one comes to check on the quality of work as each step is completed.I gave patience with the pandemic and the multitude of other excuses but, this is well beyond reason....UPDATE: 13 months and still in the same situation. Emailed excuses are not Action therefore, you are MIA. Also, I get it, I wouldnt pay for BBB accreditation anymore either if my reviews were bad and not going in my favor. I expected a company of this magnitude to have a higher level of integrity and honesty to disclose the true amount of time it takes and limited resources you actually have to complete projects. You should not keep signing people and taking their money.

We wanted to remodel our pool and asked for a bid. The employee Devin a nice guy came 5 weeks ago and took measurements. I emailed him 2 weeks later to ask when the bid would be ready and I received no reply. We ended up calling Patio Pools and they completed the bid in 5 days.

Im truly saddened to feel compelled to write this review, but after finally filing with the ROC I want others to avoid the stress and disappointment that we have had in the 14 months since we signed our contract.Ill start by saying I do believe Pat & the staff at Imperial Pools are well intentioned and none of this review is aimed at them personally, they have always been responsive & friendly - but well intentions do not get your pool built.I know Pat will want better for his company, but something is going terribly wrong at Imperial Pools.I wont go into full details of everything that has gone wrong but we signed our agreement on the 9th June 2020 with an estimated timescale of 4 months and were here in September with a still unfinished project, that alone should be enough cause for concern for anyone looking to hire Imperial.We have paid all but the final installment (by far the smallest of the installments) and we have a significant amount of unfinished work and many issues with our project.I understand we signed the contract at times of uncertainty and we gave leeway for that, but never in our wildest nightmares did we imagine that wed be sat in the position we are today.To give a few examples, our heaters were ordered in August, have been with imperial and ready to be installed next week numerous times - but a year later are still not on our property.The stucco guy was in Home Depot getting supplies and coming to finish his work - 6 weeks ago, still not finished.Check the ROC, check the reviews and make an informed decision.But my advise would be do not put yourself through what weve been through.We have many friends and family who have started projects after us and that are long since finished and enjoying their investment - Be like them not like us, go with someone else.

Horrible service, and when you put a review they say they dont know you and have never done business with you. They are absolutely rude, take your money, never complete a job. Do not use them!! Seriously beware!

We used Imperial last year and had a horrible experience. Their communication is awful, both with the clients and between themselves. We had our pool resurfaced and purchased new Hayward equipment including a pump and sand filter. Patrick seemed to think we had lights in our pool, which we didnt, and was telling us how cool the light show was going to work. Not sure how a pool pro can miss the fact that we dont have existing lights in their bid. We ended up having that adjusted out. He also said we needed a new gas heater which two other companies said we didnt. Turns out we only needed a new electronic board.Imperial subcontracted the actual pool resurfacing to Stewart Pool Plastering. I would recommend just contacting Stewarts if thats all you want since it was the only part of the job done well. Stewarts had to cancel their initial attempt to come out since Imperial had not done the proper prep prior to them starting the job. Imperial said Stewarts power washer had failed which is why they had to reschedule. We got the real story from Jimmy Stewart himself.It took Imperial forever to replace our spa jet covers which seemed odd. They said the jet covers had to be special ordered which was why it was taking so long. Only after I complained (after waiting weeks) did employee Davis finally get them installed. And come to find out the spa doesnt work properly, and one of the special order spa jet covers looks like garbage (see photo). Of course Imperial never bothered to tell us this at the time. We only discovered this recently because we have hired another pool company to troubleshoot our spa issues (since we have no confidence in Imperial). This is what finally compelled me to write a review.We were happy with the Hayward equipment but it was carelessly installed. Our sand filter was leaking since it wasnt sealed tight enough and they failed to install the water temperature sensor. These corrections were made by the local Hayward rep. We were going to use Imperial for our pool service until one of their techs left with our backwash cycle still running, draining nearly half of our pool by the time we discovered it.Imagine all of these things happening while not getting timely responses from Imperial, claims of ignorance when they do respond, and apologies but no action. Think carefully before choosing this company to do any kind of pool project you have.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Imperial. We just purchased a house this summer, and they were able to come out while we were still in the inspection period, and had a design ready by the time we closed on the house. Everyone Ive interacted with has been great, and Devin in particular is awesome. He always responds very quickly, and helped us stay within our budget while still getting us what we wanted. I never felt like he was pushing us for any add ons we didnt need. We just finished the preliminary dig within three weeks of signing an agreement. The contractors they sent out were great too. A very positive experience so far. I will update once the pool is complete.

Imperial came out to do measurements over a month ago. We have not heard back from them at all after emailing and calling. I’m glad we are not using this company for our purchase.Very bad first impression. 😡 glad we didnt get a response. I could only imagine how unprofessional they would have been.

I chose Imperial Pools & Design for solar heat for my pool. There was a delay in getting the panel due to COVID but thats unavoidable right now. There was an issue that I had which was addressed and fixed to my liking and the finished project looked great!I wanted to make sure my pool area could still look nice while having a functioning system and Patrick and his crew were able to accomplish that. Although its a little cold to use it right now I cant wait to be in the pool sooner.Definitely recommend them!

The owner responded to our review below saying they never did business with us. This is a untrue, and in fact perplexing since they did indeed install our pool in the Fall of 2018. Patrick (owner) check your records, and you can see your company did indeed install our pool! My husband Rodney and I met you and your employees on many occasions and you should have a record of having installed our pool. Our phone numbers remain unchanged. Patrick, Becca, Davis and the rest of the Imperial family were great throughout our project. They helped to transform our backyard from rocks and dirt into a beautiful infinity edge pool and spa. As with everything in these COVID times there were bumps along the way, but the final project couldn’t have turned out better. We were especially impressed with the work of Carlos and his crew with regards to our tile and travertine. Our family is so happy with our decision and would recommend Imperial to anyone that would ask.

Imperial Pools has been servicing my pool for a few months now. I am very happy with their service. They are very honest and provide excellent service. Patrick is very good at communicating and providing me with answers to my questions and concerns regarding the pool. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable pool service and design pool company.

Run... run... This has truly been one of the worst contracted experience of our life. Building a pool is supposed to fun and exciting but we have only been stressed, threatened because we wanted to get a completion date from Patrick before our last payment, and still, after almost 26 weeks, are waiting for them to finish. All we hear are excuses about covid but we signed our contract in June, the highest point of covid, and we’re never told about a possible delay or how far they were behind with other peoples pools. Please call the ROC and ask them how many claims have been made against this company. Read the negative comments on google, Facebook, Yelp, and see how the owner always has an excuse or pins blame on the buyers....We have never received a sorry or any valid explanation for how long we have waited. Only excuses.....Our contract read 8-10 weeks, we are at 26 and still waiting. My coworkers pool, built from another company and much more complex than ours, was built in 8 weeks??????? They started two weeks after ours started????? That company had no problem being on time during covid???? Save the headache go somewhere else!!!! Let’s see how we get blamed in response or what excuse the owner will have...

Be prepared to be frustrated and make sure you get everything in writing. While we absolutely love the look and work that went into our pool reconstruction, I do not believe I would recommend Imperial Pools to a friend or family.The customer service was awful through the entire project. They tried to blame everything on covid-19, which wasnt my complaint. I understood these are trying and unique times, but you cant blame covid for lack of communication, no follow through, people not showing up as scheduled and Imperial Pools being the last one to know. Delays secondary to covid were understandable, and I was more than patient, communicating the delays was relatively non-existent.I was promised many things from Steve, most of which were not delivered. I was told I was to be assigned a project manager who would oversee project and progress, but once initial demolition was completed I never saw another sole show up to assess progress, only a gal sent to collect the next payment. I had to closely watch the work being done, as it often seemed the workers had no guidance or direction as to project specifics.The job was 98% completed in early June, and now despite multiple emails and contacts it still remains at 98% complete. No one will come out for the final task of repairing demolition damage, despite being promised it would happen since June.Again, I would give 5 stars for the actual pool but zero stars for keeping promises and good communication as the lack of customer service given to me should be a professional embarrassment to the entire staff!

It took 6 months and some difficulties but Imperial Pools and Design built a nicely design and good pool.

Please do not use this company. Last week a person driving one of this company vehicles rear ended another vehicle at a red light. The driver of the company vehicle left the scene of the accident without exchanging information. The person hit reached out to the owner who has been nothing but unprofessional, first saying that it was not his employee and then stated that his employees foot just slipped and that it couldn’t have caused that much damage. Not only do I not want these people who would respond this way working on my pool I don’t want this company even driving around where I live, if the owner isn’t even responsible enough to make sure people driving his vehicles follow the law and stay at the scene of an accident.

Davis came out to pack rat proof my equipment and I mentioned that the pool built the year before by my builders pool company just wasnt keeping the water warm enough to swim. He explained that the heat pump required a lower rpm setting and set it up for me. Its perfect! Ive been in my pool since February. During the quarantine its the only thing that kept me and my neighbors sane! He changed my life! Thank you!

These guys did an outstanding job at building my pool. From my initial phone call through to the finished product they were great partners to work with. I had several companies give me quotes and these guys came in on budget, while everyone else quoted me about 20K over my budget. The design they created is unique and now that it is done looks amazing. Love the infinity edge. Their detail to quality is superb and their workmanship outstanding. Now the pool is complete they are doing a great job keeping it clean with weekly service. This is my third pool I have had built over the past 12 years and the best experience I have had.

We contacted Imperial pools based on the 5 star reviews we have seen online. Everyone who had done bisiness with Imperial pools seemed to be very happy and satisfied with their service. We started off on schedule and then started to have some issues due to covid-19. We had constant comunication with imperial pools and the owner to figure out what issues we were having and why. There was always a good reason and we understood that issues were happening due to reasons beyond anyones control. Im left with a beautiful 5 star pool. Just keep in mind that it was completed far beyond the timeline we were told but in the end we are very pleased with our pool and Patrick has made sure we are completely happy with our pool. Our old pool had many issues: cracks, leaking suction and return lines, the pump and filter were undersized for the required turnover rate, and we were using too much chlorine. We had trusted our past pool service providers to bring these issues to our attention. It took Patrick Crones evaluation of the big picture to bring these issues to our attention, why we needed the upgrades, how our sanitation system could affordably be improved, and his solution fit our budget. He is great at explaining the logistics of pool plumbing and why something needs to be done. His employees (office and contractors) were personable and had a professional work ethic. Patrick had the vision and followed through. We love our pool!

I was recommended Imperial pools & design and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I we’ pleased with the final product. Pat Crone was very nice and flexible meeting with us. We enjoyed going to the show room to select tiles and pool finish. Their teams were very friendly and professional. They arrived on the designated times completed their work and cleaned up after. They also went through step-by-step what they were doing. Great staff from front office to all the teams. Highly recommended to all getting their pools new, designed or refurbished.

Imperial Pools is the best! I would use them again hands down! We had stonescape mini, new tiles and stamped concrete placed. Although the original date was delayed (we of course scheduled during their busiest season 🤦🏻‍♀️) it turned out better than I ever could have asked for. It was worth the minor delay. 10x over. The tiles are perfect. The stone scape is beautiful and completely even in color. The concrete blends into our existing flagstone perfectly. Becca was always friendly and responsive and I know I called her a lot. Sorry! Even better, when I ended up hating the concrete color, Angel came back the next day on his own and helped color test until I was happy. I know that delayed their work, but ultimately turned out better than I ever could have expected!We haven’t missed a day of swimming since the remodel has been done. Thank you Imperial Pools!!

Imperial pools and design undertook our backyard /yard project. The design and execution for final product was perfect. What steve designed and Patrick and his team executed was exactly what our dreams envisioned. As always with big projects like this, there were a few hiccups, some delays that made the process longer than original estimate and caused some frustration but that is par for the course for big projects like this. Ultimately the outcome was worth the money and wait.

We needed a cost effective alternative to gas heating for our large in ground pool. Despite time and space limitations and outdated electronics, Pat and his staff at Imperial Pools re-plumbed our system and successfully integrated a new heat pump. At first it was a little out of my price range, but when it came to the best option I couldn’t put a price on it! In the end everything ran smoothly and my family couldn’t be more happy with the outcome! We love our pool and all the accessories we ended up adding!

They have been promising to finish my pool for 3 months. They have been working on it for close to 8 months. They promised to finish by the start of summer. Still not even close and it is September. They rarely return my calls. Theyre too busy on a bigger project to worry about me especially since they have my money. I would never go with them if I had the choice again. I keep waiting for them to make it right for me. Well see, but I wont hold my breath.Unable to respond. When you asked me for the remote, I left it out; for over 3 months it was sitting on the patio. You still have not finished the punch list for the pool, although you did quite a bit. The unlicensed person was licensed and was not wrong like you indicated in your message.It has been over a year. You have been inconsistent in your responses.Please just finish everything.9/2020They have now finished about half the items on the punch list. I keep calling. They promise to get back to me but have not.I really hate the way you made up s bunch of lies about our interactions. I just want you to finish things that I cant finish. The pool was swimmable a year ago but still needs to be completed, please.

My husband and I are used to working on our home and backyard ourselves. I would have to say that working for us was probably not easy. We are very hands-on customers and had many questions and requests from design to construction to price. Throughout the project, Patrick was patient, professional, and did everything necessary to make us happy. This was the perfect choice to redo our pool. I am so happy when I walk outside and see my pool. It is such a dream!

We built a pool with another builder last year, and had been thinking about adding an automation system. Patrick and Co. have been maintaining our pool for about 6 months, and doing a good job, so we asked we asked him for a bid. Patrick came out last Friday afternoon and gave us a bid. By Saturday evening it was installed! ...and they fixed a number of issues related to the initial install. The original builder hasnt even returned my call yet. Awesome work! Promised the renovation of the yard would be done in less than 3 months, its been over a year and it is still not finished.My neighbor also used Imperial and their project is not done after 2 years. A colleague also used Imperial and absolutely hates them.They make excuse after excuse for why basic work is not done.Patrick is absurdly rude.They filled a kiddy pool with cement in our yard and left it there for months only to illegally dump it on someone elses property after being threatened to be sued.All their work is so mediocre that weve had to pay other people to fix everything theyve done, or rather the things theyre too lazy to do, with no offer of reimbursement.Their order of operations only function to prolong the process and make sure they have to do as little work as possible, never mind code.If you love to spend money to have zero work done, terrible work at that, then Imperial is the way to go.P.S. Patrick is NOT your friend.

Our experience with Imperial Pools has been less than 1 star. It has taken almost 2 months to get a Hayward Salt Cell warranted out. Approx. 1 month went by just for them to come out and look at the salt cell itself & the another month has gone by with us calling them to find out what is taking so long for the replacement, only to get excuses from the office staff that Hayward has not warranted out the cell yet or that the person that deals with warranties is out of the office. BTW the serial number on the cell was given to them since the very first phone call. I guess you need to spend money with this company to receive quality service.

I was looking into getting a pool upgrade and talked to to the owner Patrick and did not realize how much is involved especially with water treatment. This guy is into the cutting edge of technology with clean water solutions that require little or no chlorine. I settled on a Pentair filter system and I cant believe how clean the water is. Their prices are fair, but what what sold me was they showed up when they said they would. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Talked in great detail with Mike H. about some repair for my pool and hot tub... he was very easy to work with, a delight to talk to, and very knowledgeable about his industry! Definitely won my business!!

Imperial Pool and Design has the best weekly pool service In Tuscon. They’re always so professional and my pool has never looked better since they converted me to the new Oxygen rich products.. EZ POOL! My family loves swimming in the pool now because we didn’t care for harsh chemicals like chlorine, shock and acid. Plus, since they started using the new technology all the white stuff on my tiles and spa has disappeared. Thank you guys!

These guys are great. Our pool pump exploded last year in March. I called four different pool companies to see if someone could come help us out. Only one called back and he told me he was too busy. I just happened to see the Imperial Pools truck drive by so I called the number. Pat came over the next day and helped us pick the right pump. We were so happy with him that we asked him to clean the calcium buildup on our tile. So David comes over and is cleaning our tile and the grout holding them on had deteriorated so badly that they started falling off. We werent really surprised because this was an older plaster pool and the rebar was starting to rust through on the bottom. He asked if we had considered redoing the pool. I told him we had gotten three estimates from various companies around town and they were way out of our price range. I told him what the offers had been. He immediately said he knew they could beat that price. So Pat comes over and we start talking about all the possibilities. And without a doubt he beat every one elses bids. By about $5,000-$10,000. We were floored. So we told them to go for it and they were just great the entire time. Even worked extra hours just to surprise us while we were on vacation. We got home and the pool was done. New equipment and everything. We loved them so much we set up a monthly service with them and have since then installed solar panels on our roof that heat the water.A year later and we are in talks to have them landscape our front yard. These guys are amazing.

I worked with Pat building my first pool 2.5 years ago. Oddly enough, we decided to move and immediately hired him again. Pat’s a straight shooter and will work to get done what you need. Highly recommend!

Imperial Pools and Design did a great job! They had to remove an ugly old fiberglass pool and shoddy plumbing, installed by previous owners, and replace it with a gunite one. The project was expected to take almost six-months because of the extensive demolition needed and limited access to the yard. Using top of the line equipment, pool products and cutting edge techniques, Imperial built a beautiful customized pool for us, in just under four, and in time for 4th of July celebrations. It made for a perfect day. Even the lightshow in the pool was fun, almost more so than the fireworks in the sky.Patrick, Steve and David were hands-on through the entire pool renovation process, from design to swim. With a construction project this size, there will always be some kind of delay or unexpected issue, but they came to the house a number of times to make sure that everything was right and on schedule. They’re clearly passionate about what they do and care about the end result! Their customer service was excellent. The whole team was easy to work with and handled our concerns quickly and professionally.We still need to finish cleanup of the ‘construction site’, but I have no doubt that by the end everything will look untouched or better than before they started. Now we have this amazing pool, and my family wants to spend all of their time in it.

Please save yourself a major headache and do NOT use Imperial Pools. They do horrible work and I have had to hire electrician, solar company, painter, and another pool company to rectify their multiple mistakes. They put in solar panels to heat the pool. I called them oh maybe 10 times to say it wasn’t working. Finally called Custom Solar to come inspect. They found 10 serious install problems. Then the electrician saw that the wires were installed backwards on the timer. Then it needed 2 new sensors. They bleached my brand new deck with their chemicals. Paint was over $100 per gallon then power washing then a painter. They offered me a flat $30 to fix. There are multiple smudges on pool bottom from tile sealer before pool was filled which they told ME to “brush out”. And now I find multiple cracks on the steps inside the pool. I am disgusted. Please do NOT do business with them. You will regret it I promise.

Once again they came out and took care of my pool issue immediately. Thanks guys!
