Great place wonderful gym outstanding food in the restaurant. Lacking handicap access to the second floor. The shower room has adjustable bath seat and one bigger roller in shower stall. All of the machines are on the second floor. The bottom floor has easy access and lots of classes: yoga silver sneakers ECT very relaxing place. Fun to just sit and watch the people too! A little escape Oasis in the desert.

Pool needs more careful cleaning. City public pools are cleaner. Too many people use the pool for the inadequate cleaning effort. No one is asked to shower. Often there is an oil slick. Requests to clean fall on deaf ears.

Walkways were full of chewing gum litter. Tennis courts were full of stress cracks from being built on a desert wash. And the Saturday drop in crowd was full of old men trying to get a little sun and vitamin D but really too frail to play and with a beginners skillset. DEFINITELY, NOT for avid tennis players.Perhaps their membership service offers more but Im not willing to pay $100/month for a few sets of doubles.

I have worked as a professional DJ for many years and have participated in many various events at the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club. The staff is excellent, the facilities are excellent, maintenance is always very bust and do a stellar job at keeping thing clean and orderly. However, the very best thing about this location is, The People. Not stuffy arrogant or rude just nice good people that are interesting, have well adjusted families and participate in a healthy mix of recreation, relaxation and fun in the sun. It is not just for tennis, there is so much going on...

We finally joined the club in September so my wife and son can learn to play tennis. The tennis pros are friendly and knowledgeable. The tennis clinics are fun for all levels. The staff in the club and restaurant are kind and helpful. TRC is a real treasure and such fun.

Initially we had a bad opinion on this placed based on the service we got when trying to join but they rectified it and we ended up joining. It’s a far drive for us but the pool is hardly packed which is nice and the staff is friendly. Only real downside is the hot tubs, they are always overly chlorined and burn your eyes

Visiting with friends here, really nice laid-back place not like those big box gyms with their hall monitors running around telling you that your water bottle is non-regulation. This is a fantastic place. Its not a pick up joint like some big gyms and its not a stuffy country club... its a family friendly fitness place. Friday night bbqs from April through October (ish?) are great to bring friends to, even if theyre not members.

Nice laid back club with restaurant and bar. This place is very family friendly but the amenities are a bit dated (likely a result of trying to avoid the ADA since many areas of the club are not handicap accessible). The food in the restaurant is mediocre but the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable for families. The pools and fitness equipment are nice and usually not too crowded.

Ive been a member of TRC for over 35 years. If youre looking for a no pressure, no hassle, come as you are place to play tennis and work out in Tucson, this is it. Though they have upgraded common areas on the main floor (rest rooms) and the bar (second floor) the equipment in the weight room is getting old, (but then again, so am I). If you use a facility like this on a regular basis, this is a good value. Restaurant and bar food are quite good and reasonably priced.

Im 35 and have been going to the Racquet Club since I was 12. Whats so amazing about this place is that its more of a community than a gym. It has a luxury feel in the sense that the mountain view is absolutely gorgeous and it has all the amenities of a high-end country club. There are tons of tennis courts and indoor racquetball courts, two swimming pools, a sauna, an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, all kinds of yoga/pilates/Zumba/etc classes, a restaurant, an upstairs clubhouse, a proshop, and more! They also host international and pro tennis and racquetball tournaments. In addition to all this, it also has a very homey feel that is not matachable in Tucson. There are Friday night BBQs with live music where tons of families come and all the kids happily run amok on the huge green lawns, hang out under the ramadas, and swim in the outdoor pool. Every day you will see people lounging in the clubhouse and on the couches in the common areas. The architecture and structure of the club is designed to create connection. The Racquet Club truly feels like home to so many of us.

Not a snob club. Though focused on racquet sports, theres something for everyone. Offers excellent kids camps; clinics for adults, nursery, massage, salon and nutritional counseling. I enjoy Silver Sneakers 3x/wk. Loved Postural Fitness classes. Long list of fitness classes at every level. Gym, spa and pools open 24/7. Really good bar/restaurant open to anyone. Its an older facility so ongoing maintenance. Parking on busy mornings difficult to find. Great BBQs w/live music 8 months of the yr open to all. Friendly place; great staff * good customer service. Ive been a member of the club for years. First, as a place to take the kids in the summer when little and now I regularly play in the racquetball leagues, work out in the cardio room, and have food and drinks at the upstairs bar. In restaurant, our card was charged twice, which we noticed only after getting home. Manager told me over phone that they do this for every customer who adds a tip and have done so for 20 years so far: They charge once before the tip and once including it. They refund the first charge, but refund is subject to bank delay, as these things go. So you may wish not to go there on Friday night unless you want banks to profit from holding your money over the weekend. I give the restaurant one star for the people, because if this manager spoke truthfully, this business has neglected to pay to fix or replace their charge card system in 20 years and has been doing this to customers all this time. Meanwhile in my 20 years of using cards, this is the only time Ive seen a restaurant doing this.
