Softserve PC is the best at rushing to my aid when Ive jammed up the computer. I have never had to wait more than 1 day for their help. I typically send an email outlining the problem and amazingly they will email me back with a simple solution. Works every time! If its something that cannot be fixed remotely they will come over asap.We have purchased two custom-built computers from Softserve and are very happy with both of them. The new computers cost way less than purchasing them at a big box store!

I would highly recommend this company! Marvin was very quick to answer my call and assist me with my folks computer. They are in assisted living and their computer is their lifeline. Very knowledgeable, honest, reasonable and in our case compasionate. Hope we wont need to call again anytime soon, but if we do I wouldnt use anyone else.

I called SoftservePC for the first time, after struggling for 2 weeks with rebuilding an old laptop for my grandson. Marvin quoted a very reasonable cost to work on the BIOS, which I kinda suspected was messed up. Unfortunately, the machine was too old and the BIOS was inaccessible. He said, as he couldn’t fix it (no fault of his), he wouldn’t charge me. Try getting that anywhere else!Marvin must have heard the disappointment in my voice when I told him that this was going to be an early 11th birthday present for my grandson.Then he made me an offer I could not believe. He said, that he believed in my mission and was going to donate a used laptop and get it all ready for the original quote. I insisted that he charge me something for the laptop. So, he quoted a small token for the machine.Not only did he rebuild the machine as a new device, he also gave us an almost new HP laptop - a whole lot better than my original 2012 vintage.My grandson will be ecstatic when he receives a lot more than what he was expecting. Marvin is going to make him really, really happy. Plus, he has made an old grandpa very appreciative - and a long term customer. Softserve PC is a must to have on your team. Our computer died and we were in kind of jam. The computer had a lot issues. It was definitely time for a new one. Marvin got the old clunker running enough to get us buy while he built us a new machine. It took about week to get the new machine. Just in time!!! The fantastic thing about the whole experience is that we got an awesome computer and all we had to do is plug it in and get back to business. Marvin dug right in to find out what we exactly needed in a computer. I got a ton more computer for the price, plus less frustrating than a purchase from a big box store.

I reached out to have a new computer built and am very satisfied with the unit Marv delivered. He went a step further and set up a back up plan for our company with both local and cloud auto backups. I just recently found Marvin and SoftservePC even though we both live in Tualatin. My 5+ year old laptop was showing signs of failure, so I purchased a new one on Thursday afternoon, dropped it of with Marvin on Friday afternoon and he had everything transferred and set up Saturday evening. Its been running great and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend him!

Marvin is a technical wizard. My computer completely died and he was able to recover all the data I wanted and needed from my hard drive. I had called around in efforts to fix my Lenovo Thinkpad Lap top. I utilized Microsoft mobile services, PC assistance, and even went to the Geek Squad in a desperate measure to figure out why my relatively new computer was operating poorly. I finally found Marvin and Soft-serve PC. The other companies made my computer worse over a 2 week period, and the Geek squad quoted me $200 just for an initial diagnostic (and scheduled me 3 weeks out!) Marvin was able to repair the damage done to my computer, and upgrade my hard-drive for less than the geek-squads diagnostic quote! And he had it done in 2 days! My computer operates better than it did the day I bought it! So grateful I found them, and will definitely refer anyone with computer troubles to this guy. Thanks again Marvin.

Ive been using Softserve PC for over 5 years now. Marvin, the owner, is great! He is extremely knowledgeable and current on the latest technologies (and all the problems that go along with them). Ive used Marvin for several years, once to set up a new computer (getting rid of all the promotional stuff, etc., and making it more efficient), and once for a technical issue. The computer setup turned out to be more difficult than expected due to a number of atypical programs I use to do investments and music stuff. Marvin worked on it until it was all taken care of and only charged me the amount of the original quote, even though I offered to pay more since it took longer than he quoted. I also referred him to my father when Dad had printing issues, and Marvin was able to quickly clear it up for him. Another happy customer. Marvin really helped me through some complex Windows PC issues. I was trying to apply some third party themes and in the process I corrupted the operating system and my PC would no longer boot. I thought for sure that I had lost all my data but he was able to recover the data on the drive and migrate everything to a new and faster hard drive. He also fixed a ton of configuration issues and driver updates which has resulted in making my PC run like a new machine. I would highly recommend Marvin for any PC issue, large or small. I have worked in the tech industry as a software developer all my life but in all my years of work in that field, I have never encountered anyone on the hardware side that was as knowledgeable as Marvin. I feel that a 5 star rating does not due him justice. Hes a 5 plus for sure.

Up in the PW Northwest launching another store and bought comptier etc at Best Buy and went to launch and the computer did not work they had messed up the computer Pos and also the receipt printer drivers. And Geek Squad Best Buy in Tigard could not get me into fix for at least 4 days; even though an emergency and sorts their fault at anothe store . Got his name from person waiting in line and called. My previous review was based off of frustration, assumption and a missed call. While digging for info on my stolen laptop, I was able to pull IP access info from my MS account. The IP was listed as attributed to Softserve PCs address. Marvin called me back after I left him a rather harsh voicemail. He introduced himself, and was very calm, honest and ready to assist in any way to help me retrieve my stolen goods, even though I had just left him a nasty VM and a really nasty review here. I couldnt have been more wrong. Probably could have avoided the whole situation if I just read a few of the other reviews. I couldnt see the logic through the flames of my hatred for someone who takes what isnt there with no regret, shame or remorse. After speaking with Marvin for a solid 20 minutes, I feel all those things for leaving the messages I did. I would and will be recommending him for any IT related service my friends in that area might need. Hes a stand up, straight forward and honest person who cherishes his integrity.
