Over the three-month course of work we were constantly updated on timelines via an app that made both communication and information-sharing easy. They were patient, responsive, informative, and did their best to minimize the impact on our family. Their work was top-notch and we were more than pleased with the final product. Our home feels like the sanctuary we always thought it could be. On top of all of that, the core team was a pleasure to have in our home every day. By the end of the project, my kids were genuinely sad to see Eric, Denise, Michael, and Grant drive away for the last time!

My house is a 100+ year old Portland bungalow, and has all the quirks and challenges of an old house. Our front porch was 50 years old (based on some vintage beer cans we found underneath it during this project), and it was at end of life due to peeling paint and some dry rot. Id priced it out with a local contractor who shall remain unnamed, but they came back at such a high price point that I decided Id need to take it on myself. I was not excited at the prospect of spending two months of summer weekends working on my porch though, so when I walked past a job site in my neighborhood, saw the work looked great and the site was tidy, I noted the THE Remodel Truck parked in front and decided to give them a call.My porch project was definitely smaller than the projects they usually take on - theyre more focused on full remodels - but I happened to contact them right when they had a few days open, so they were able to fit me in. They said they would wrap it up in 3.5 days, and thats exactly what they did. The work is stellar - they tore off the old flooring, did some dry rot repair, added structural elements that clearly should have been added 50 years ago (but the carpenters back then were probably too busy drinking Budweiser and tossing the cans under the porch), and did a picture perfect installation of new tongue and groove fir flooring. It was a two person crew and they totally killed it - good communication when they needed input on decisions, the jobsite was clean at the end of every day, and they worked hard from arriving in the morning to the end of the day. The cherry on top: they came in substantially less than that other quote Id received.So yeah, Id give them more than 5 stars if I could and would be very happy to work with them again on future projects.

The Remodel Group just finished a remodel on my kitchen, master bath, and hall bath. Start to finish, everything was AMAZING.First they responded to my web inquiry very quickly, which is rare in itself.They were clear on costs, worked with my budget, listened to my ideas and brought their own, and clearly communicated when my choices would be above or below budget.Steve came out originally, walked through the house and talked me through everything. Rachel helped with the many design decisions, ensuring I got just the look I wanted. Michael, the construction manager, checked in regularly to make sure everything was on track. Denise and Mikey came in to help when needed. And Erich was here every day - early to late - working hard and smart to make my vision come true. Its not easy to have your life in upheaval for a month, but this group made it a pleasure, and I couldnt be happier with the result.Communication couldnt have been better throughout. We finished on time and on budget. Id definitely call them again and I’ve been recommending them to everyone.

I called The Remodel Group to do a complete kitchen remodel for my mothers 1967 home. They were very professional and patient over the phone, then visited quickly to conduct an assessment and give an estimate. The owner, Steve, was great to work with and came out to do the assessment. They were very detail oriented in terms of their redesign plans. The project started almost exactly on time and closely followed the project schedule, which they detail via an online portal that is shared with customers. The on site staff were very professional and courteous towards my mother. The group actually specializes in aging in place remodels, which was important to me. I highly recommend this group!

I first hired THE Remodel Group to fix a botched kitchen remodel job by another contractor. I was so impressed with the professionalism and skill level that I hired them again for three more projects. The next project was a remodel on the downstairs of my home. My daylight basement was a sad sight indeed. But, now with fresh wood work, lighting, beautiful flooring, and an updated fireplace, it’s become the place I want to hang out now. I also hired THE Remodel Group to revamp the fireplace on the main floor. This was quite the project because it took a lot of creativity and a mix of several different subcontractors. I ended up with a fabricated steel fireplace mantel, Myrtle wood columns, slate tile and modern gas fireplace. All the elements came together to create an amazing focal point for my living room. It’s very artistic and the amazing part is how they were able to bring my ideas in my head to fruition. It’s quite a masterpiece.I am looking forward to next week because I am starting a bathroom remodel project, and of course, I have hired none-other-than THE Remodel Group.

I found the remodel group at a home improvement show in Portland. I talked with three remodel companies before I choose Remodel Group. I appreciated Steve taking the time to explain the complete process of the project and the reality of the time frames necessary. Everything went just as planed and there were no surprises.The project was a kitchen remodel in an older condo building. Steve and the crew were understanding and respectful of the various requirements of the condo association. Sasha, part of the team was very helpful and understood my desire to get the best but not wanting to put a million dollar kitchen into a small condo remodel. The result is a very sophisticated look and functional kitchen. They were neat on time and under budget could not ask for more.I have a couple of other small projects that I will definitely contact Remodel Group to do for me.

THE Remodel Group will be our first and only call for all future work we have done on our house. They were clear about what they could do and what things would cost for our bathroom remodel. They followed through and met all the goals we mutually set.What really impressed me was how they accommodated some special needs we had. For medical reasons, I have to be able to take a bath approximately every 72 hours, though 48 is better. They made sure to set things up so that I never had to go more than three days without tub access.We did have a problem with one supplier, Kohler. They sent two subtly different colored shower wall panels. Though we looked at them outside before installation, because we hadnt checked them side by side once indoors, we didnt realize the mistake after installation took place.Kohler not only sent the wrong colored panels, they continued to shoot past every single delivery date they gave us for months. We were supposed to get the panels at the end of November. They didnt arrive until March and it upped the cost of the project because THE Remodel Group had to demo out what was first installed and then install the proper product.Because I approved what we saw before it was installed, they could have told me Not our problem, you need to pay for it, but they didnt. They cut their rate for the demo and reinstall to labor only.Even months after the project was done, THE Remodel Group continued to advocate on our behalf for Kohler to reimburse us for that extra cost and yesterday, Steve delivered the check in person.While the project did have delays, it was out of THE Remodel Groups hands. Every single person Ive ever talked with about having a contractor work on the house has had horror stories about their contractors. While we did have a problem with the project, THE Remodel Group was absolutely perfect. We recommend them to anyone and everyone. They will be our first and only call when we want to remodel our other bathroom and kitchen in the future.

This team is amazing! I hired THE Remodel Group to do a whole-house remodel, including all walls, ceiling and woodwork painted, all flooring replaced, and new kitchen counters and cabinets. Nothing structural, but the footprint of the kitchen was extended into the so-called breakfast nook, and Steve figured out a workable design for the shallow pantry I had been hoping to have.Steve and his crew were easy to work with and very professional. Several months after the job was complete I had a problem with some of the electrical outlets. One call to Steve and he had the subcontractor on the job to diagnose and fix the problem (a new outlet that turned out to be a dud).Im really enjoying my new house, especially the quality cabinets and the oh-so-convenient pantry. When I get around to finally getting my shower upgraded I will definitely consider THE Remodel Group to do the work.

This project was the first renovation of any type that we had undertaken – and after everything was completed, it would have been hard to imagine a better partner to undertake this project on with than The Remodel Group.Our house was built in 1993 and came complete with carpet in the bathrooms, which after 20 years is no longer a comforting idea. We initially thought to just swap the carpet for tile, but typical of any project, our ideas landed us with a new tile master shower, replacement of a giant jetted tub with a freestanding soaker, as well as new countertops, sinks, toilets and fixtures.After meeting with several contractors, we felt the most comfortable with Steve given his honest and transparent approach to the process and the contractor/homeowner relationship. We knew communication was going to be key, and Steve was clear throughout the project on decision making, progress, costs, and potential concerns or delays. We knew his experience would lend to a very capable team and credible end result.At every turn of the project, Steve put us in front of the “right” people to help understand the options and make decisions. Steve introduced us to Louise at Z3 Designs – whom without her help we might still be at CFM trying to figure out tile and countertop combinations.We had full confidence in the subcontractors, who were all skilled and thoughtful in their approach to the project needs. Especially with our tile man Glen – who absolutely treated this project like it was his own home. Steve’s right hand man Paul was wonderful to work with, skilful at everything he worked on and very respectful of our home, including our dog/cat.All their contributions set our mind at ease and we knew the job was done “right”.From the beginning, Steve sought out our ideas and presented us with a design we had envisioned but had a hard time articulating. With his guidance and team’s hard work, we ended up with a masterfully designed and constructed master and guest bathroom.Thanks to The Remodel Group, the end result was something truly special and unique for us and that we will enjoy for years to come.
