We were on vacation and decided to get a manicure and pedicure. I gave them two stars because they got us in, as walk ins. They were incredibly rough while filing the tops of my toenails resulting in abrasions along the tops of my toes right by my nail beds on 5 of my toes.I’ve had gel polish often on over the last few years, and I’ve never had it peel up the way that it is peeling up right now. i’ve had this manicure for eight days, and it’s peeling off on at least four of my nails. I can usually get at least 20 days out of a gel manicure, only changing the polish because it is grown out so much. I’ve tried to stick it back down with nail glue, but it isn’t working. And to top it all off, you can only pay in cash when you go there, which isn’t made known on any website that I found.I don’t usually post negative reviews, but I would not go there again. I wish I had saved the $80.

Just got my nails (dipping powder) before coming to Truckee for vacation. Naturally, the first day we were here, I broke a nail. Called Sass Nails & Spa. Mike explained, that yes, they do dipping powder, but may or may not be able to match the nail color of my other 9 fingers. We made an appointment for either a repair or a full new manicure. When I arrived, the first employee that greeted me said there would be no way to match it, so I needed my new dipping powder manicure re-done. Mike intervened and said he didnt think I should have to pay for a complete re-do since my nails were so fresh (even from a Las Vegas salon). He not only was able to match the color via gel polish, he rebuilt the nail so it matched the others. 20 minutes, in and out. He only charged me $5; but I multiplied that x 3 because I was so impressed with his customer service and nail skill. Highly recommend. Thank you.

I was stoked! Havent been to Sassy in over 8 years but Im sold on this nail salon! Made an appointment, got helped right away even when I showed up early. Was the last in the salon and everyone was so nice and didnt rush me. Mike offered to show me matte polish to see if I liked it... matte polish has changed my life! Mike did a FABULOUS job on my acrylic fill. His attention to detail is noticable and so appreciated! Fixed the previous nail job and left my nails feeling Sassy! The only reason I did 4 instead of 5 was because the sander tool hit the skin on the side of my nail. (I know, nit picky, and it happens every time regardless of salon so nothing against Mike.)Everyone that worked there speaks great English! Was able to have different conversations with each of them, never felt like they were talking behind my back. The staff is attentive and friendly. $40 for acrylic fill, sold! Its $35 in Reno, Ill save the gas this winter, Im sticking with sassy!EDIT: the green was the fill Mike just did after the red grew out 🥰

Mike is the best for gel dip and acrylic extensions. He knows how to get them to the thickness and shape of your preference. Super fair prices for truckee/tahoe

They are creative too because they can design follow which ever nail model that I want them to do.My nails is always impressively beautiful and polished.Love this place soooo much!

They are so lovely with everyone, especially with children. We took my two nieces there and they were treated with the same care as the adults and walked out with little daisies on thier toes. Its relatively airy and not chemical feeling, and they are really nice people. I have always been happy with both the service and the pedis/Manis here!!

Ive had my nails and toes done here for over 5 years and they never disappoint. Once they know what you like they never forget and do it right every time!

I chose this place because it was the most affordable according to their online information. ($25 for a pedicure). I went in, picked my color and sat down. Best part was the paint job and the chair. Worst part was the price, $35! If I go again in Truckee Ill try somewhere else.

Bad. This is the worst acrylic nail job I have ever experienced. My nail has a hair in it. The left hands nails are about 0.1 centimeter shorter. I asked for them to be short-ish but still coffin and they are squared. I’m very disappointed

DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED HERE!! The woman who waxed mine was horrible, I waked out of there with one eyebrow about .5 shorter than the other one.
