I built my log home in Truckee in 1993. I did live in my home until 1999. In the meantime, I had Brown Bear Home Care babysit my home; doing the repairs that were needed and check on my home during the winter months. When I sold my home in 2012, Brown Bear Home Care took care of all the necessary upgrades that had to be done, housecleaning, checking the logs to see there were no leaks. They did a fantastic job during this timeframe. I recommended Brown Bear to new the owner for any job that needed to be done. I was given an estimate on what this would cost; went a little bit higher; but an estimate is an estimate. You see this on the home renovations on TV all the time.I highly recommend Brown Bear Home Care because they are reasonable in their prices-( I checked before I used them).

I disagree with the 2 reviews about Brown Bear Inc. They have always been courteous and efficient.I have had many great experiences with Brown Bear Inc. My septic tank was leaking and they immediately came out and repaired the leak. I also have had many small jobs done, repairing broken pipes, electrical repair and also yard clean-up. They offer a lot of services and I have not had any experience where I have not received a response.

We had Brown Bear help us with several electrical issues that came up all at once. They were quick, accurate and pleasant to work with. The work was excellent and the rate reasonable.

Called yesterday to request some insurance work after water damage, needed estimate for ins. co plus do the work, gave all info needed, told would be called by owner, no call, called again today, told owner would be here by noon, now 1:30 no show no call, local businesss ask locals to shop locally and use local contactors, as a 37 yr. resident, I should know better, if there is not big $s involved, they wont show, despite the claim no job to small, glad I have a Nevada phone book

Be wary -- they are unpleasant to deal with as it always, ALWAYS, ends up costing more than the bid, and they often cannot or do not complete the work in a timely fashion. Suggesting that they perform to an acceptable standard causes a great deal of defensiveness. Theyve had two tries with me, and both times were a disappointment. I would never use them again.
