Very rude entitled employees. Not chill

Rob was an amazing teacher to the four girls. He taught them how to wake surf and was so patient and fun! The staff that helped us was great. Even though I had made a mistake in booking (wrong date), they made it work for us, as busy as they were. Definately cant wait to go back!

Before I describe my experience, the location itself is not THAT bad. Given that, you can access Donner Lake on many different locations that are much more beautiful and child friendly. The little stream that connects to the lake (used for the non-motorized boats) is very still which is perfect for inflatable tubes and paddle board-ers for beginners. Even with that, there is a part that smells disgusting and the whole stream is very unsafe for little kids to be left unattended. There were broken and falling foliage along the stream that should have been flagged or attended to especially since it is high peak season for them.Now for the boat and non-motorized boats we were treated like dirt. From the moment my dad called the receptionist in the booth she had a very bad attitude and tone. My dad may not be a native English speaker but his English is really clear and he does not have any accent. He asked the receptionist for their address since she stated they have two locations. Such a simple request right? She literally had such a bisch-y attitude said no, we not have an address we are located in the national park. Girl you know who you are! He was not on a laptop or iPad. He was on his phone and google wasnt working with him. After a while on the call she DESPERATELY hang up on him I reassured my dad I got its fine we can figure it out once we are out there. Once we got to the booth we were a little late since the receptionist was SOOOOO clear we had to come with our entire group so she can explain everything at once.Just so I can be clear THIS WAS NOT OUR FIRST TIME RENTING A BOAT/JET SKI!The same receptionist we spoke over the phone attended to us and wanted to see an id of all the drivers that were going to drive the jet skis; which is normal but she literally snapped at my dad and talked to him like he was a 5 yr/old bec she had to repeat herself! She clearly saw me telling my dad that I will bring her my id after she goes over the rules before she snapped at him. Once we got all that aside we found out that they dont even have their boats insured! Any microfiber damage would have came out of our pockets which seems fair but since all the mistreatment and racism we felt we decided to go for the kayaks.It was clearly stated, like 6 times LITERALLY do not switch drivers and such unless you are at the dock and the attendant will come and assist you. Once we came to the dock no one helped us even after a couple minutes. (when we were first their the attendant was helping the passengers get in/out but no one helped us when we came back to switch the peddlers). We were a party of 9 and hugely disappointed. I personally believe the receptionist we encountered was extremely racist and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone that isnt visually white! Visit their second location, they may have a friendlier staff.
