We had a great experince renting electric mountain bikes. The bikes were ready to go on time and in good repair. We had a fun time riding “fast” up banked turns with the electric assist and we were surprised how great the bikes did on the down hills.

We rented two high end mountain bikes for two days. Both bikes were very well built-up and maintained. The reservation and pickup process was as seamless as possible. Bonus points to Jenni running the pickup process. Our car rack could not support the frame geometry of the new mountain bikes. Jenni loaned us her personal rack for two days to overcome the problem. This was over-the-top service that built instant loyalty. Thank you!

We rented gravel and mountain bikes from Ryan at Dirt Gypsy and had a GREAT time! The bikes are very high quality carbon bikes with high end components so the ride itself was great. We put the bikes through the paces on gravel, dirt and single track and they held up extremely well, especially the tubeless tires. Ryan provided us route suggestions, did multiple stem and other sizing adjustments before we got the bike and was generally extremely friendly and helpful.We definitely recommend Dirt Gypsy and go back again!

Rented a Liv full suspension ebike from Dirt Gypsy so I could ride with a friend and get in a long day of riding. Easy process and the bike performed flawlessly. Very well maintained bike, which is not always easy for rentals. Ryan and staff were super helpful with pick up, drop off, and when I had questions after hours on how to use the charger adapter. Great service and I would totally recommend them!

We had a great tour experience with Ryan! He showed us some amazing views and gravel routes around Truckee and the N. Lake Tahoe area. The reservation process was very easy and let us experience the routes on the latest and greatest Giant/Liv gravel bikes.Would absolutely recommend this to anyone!

Today was my first MTB experience. Lots of experience road biking but I had heard how amazing the trails were in Tahoe, so decided to give it a try. So glad I did! I used Dirt Gypsy Adventures and we rode the Emigrant Trail. I rented a Giant Trance 2, which turned out to be a very comfortable bike for our ~14 mile round trip. My guide, Ryan, was incredibly helpful in making sure that i was comfortable and had a good experience. He was knowledgeable about the trail, local areas, things to watch out for, and teaching some more advanced techniques of single track trail riding. The scenery and views here are simply amazing and I am looking forward to the next change I get to ride with this company in the Tahoe area. I highly recommend them.

We used Dirt Gypsy for a shuttle to ride Big Chief trail. Our driver Jeni was very nice and gave us her cell just in case we had any issue on the trail. The van is comfy. Overall great service!!

Ryan was great to work with. He got me on just the right bike for my size, was very punctual, had helpful information on where to ride, and the quality of the equipment was awesome.

While on a family vacation with my wife and 6 year old I found myself with a morning alone with my son. He’s 6 and rides at home but not being familiar with the trails or rental bike fleets made getting out on the trails challenging. Once I spoke to Ryan on the phone I knew I found the right place. They had bikes for me and my son and recommended a shuttle ride that would limit the climbing and maximize the fun especially for my 6 year old.They did a great job. My only regret is I didn’t have enough time to make a lap by myself. The next time I’m in the area I’ll call them up again for sure.

I had a fabulous trip with Dirt Gypsy. I went on a half day custom trip. Ryan was my guide, and he chose the perfect route for me, challenging but not too challenging. It was a beautiful ride. I had a great work out, and I learned some skills. I didnt know the area and didnt have much time. A 1/2 day custom bike trip with Dirt Gypsy was a great way make the most of my time and get out on the trails for great ride!

These guys provided some great service and an AMAZING ride! Super fun day checking out new trails in Truckee and a killer bike to use as well. Ill be back.

I really got treated poorly, unfortunately. I had a window to ride during a business trip and signed up online to see if it would be possible to rent a bike starting that afternoon. Ryan called and said no problem - bikes were available. Checking my return time after that convo, however, I realized I wouldnt be able to return the bike at a time that made sense for them. I called back 10 minutes later and explained it wouldnt work and why and Ryan was nice and said no problem. He also added he could refund my money. Then he went back and charged my card $108 and sent me an email that he had to charge (the opposite of what he had said to me on the phone), and sent this response: When we briefly spoke on the phone regarding your cancellation I mentioned that I would issue a refund when I returned to the office. I never indicated it was to be a full refund. Huh? Intentionally deceptive - and quite disappointing. And for only $108.

If you want to explore what the Tahoe area has for mountain biking, then Dirt Gypsy is the way to go! Fantastic customer service and exceptional guiding for whatever adventure you are seeking.
