Drove 220 miles for an appointment to our mountain cabin to get a microwave fixed. The technician was supposed to be there between 3 and 5pm, but nobody showed up or called. I called at 5:15pm and they said the tech might show up as late as 7pm. So I waited two more hours to no avail. Again, no call, no apology. So I was still hoping they could come the next day, but no, my appointment was relegated to the back of the line, for next week. So I wasted a full day and 440 miles of driving, all for nothing.

Save yourself the headache and DO NOT USE SEARS HOME WARRANTY. Waste of money and time. We spent 40 mins trying to schedule a washer repair, getting sent in circles, with the customer service agents asking for the same information every time I get transferred, no one is communicating between each other and each representative seems to be in the dark with what I was trying to schedule.They need your number and address to find the service location, half the techs could find my address and phone number with provided info but they didnt have authority to schedule it, so they would transfer me and the people that can schedule me say they couldnt find my address or phone number so they couldnt help.Was transferred 7 times in 40 mins just for the final person to not be able to find my service address even though the 3 people prior could find my address. All of this makes 0 sense for a company specializing in warranties. You make it so difficult for customers to actually schedule repairs it doesnt make the monthly cost worth it. In my eyes it is a complete scam.Word of advice Sears, why dont you use the contract number you provide to each client to locate the service address rather than phone number? The operations of this place is mind boggling. Immediately cancelling their service.

Zero stars. Horrible all around. Bad automated phone system to ever get through (call gets intentionally dropped if you don’t pick one of the automated choices). Appliance repair ordered the part to fix our stovetop starter that was constantly clicking. We waited a month for the piece, no biggie, then a different technician broke our stovetop beyond repair, rendering it 100% unusable. No solutions were offered for replacement. The tech didn’t clean up after the work. Can’t get through the phone system except to learn that “repair” and “new merch” are “different departments” in the same company so unwilling to speak with each other or support rectifying the issue, whatsoever. Pathetic, overseas customer service.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY. You will waste time and money because the schedulers have no idea what they are doing. The first time I called they said the tech can enter with lockbox, that was a lie and I needed to reschedule, they charged $160. During my second time scheduling an appointment I asked very clearly to have two people come out to lift my W/D stack unit, so after 4 hours of waiting around for the tech, of course they ignored my request and sent out ONE person, then they want me to pay ANOTHER $160 diagnostic fee for doing absolutely nothing.. The techs are actually really nice, the schedulers are the ones that are messing everything up and its a total scam. I highly recommend not using this company, I have so many vacation rentals in the area and I will never use this company again. 0/10.
