Short staffed, more than likely hence the wait was on the longer side, but the gentlemen got everyone in and out fast as he could. No complaints and thanks for working hard.

There was nothing wrong with the equipment. Everything worked great. But the service at this location is so slow. Twice I have entered the store to pick up my rental and there is no one working the counter while a large line has formed.

I dont typically blast companies with 1-star reviews, but this one deserves it. Long story short, booked a truck for Saturday, July 3rd, the truck wasnt available, basically forced me into using a smaller truck from a location much further away forcing me into 2 round trips instead of 1 (so, more mileage, plus extra rental fees, more fuel, plus more charges, and so on). Basically, they blew up my weekend, forced me to move a ton of stuff myself, and overcharged me by $135. Will never use again and will actively recommend other companies to people I know.

Purchased a hitch and bike rack - after the first use I was concerned about the stability of the bike rack so I came back. Dave hooked me up and explained that I didnt have the right tool to tighten the bike rack properly, and used his own to help me out. Much better.Thanks Dave!

I called (I was on hold with them for 2hrs by the way before they even answered) and finally had an appointment scheduled to install a brake controller on my truck, had the reservation confirmed for 8am on a Wednesday, they took my credit card number and told me all the parts were in stock, it is a drop off location only so I arranged a ride to take me back home and then pick it back up later in the day, they said everything was good to go. The day before my appointment, they called back to say that my reservation was never actually scheduled and that they cant fit me in for another 3 weeks. Absolutely ridiculous, if you confirm an appointment you need to be able to keep it especially if you take someones credit card info.

Employees are curtious but take a while and not in a hurry to get the job done and service you. No one there, or lots of people, .... they just take their time like there is no need to be efficient or fast.

The workers here are absolutely some of the most helpful and friendly I have seen across U-haul stores. Their lot is also very easy to navigate, so you know how to find what you came for. If you need a rental, or storage, these guys will help you, and at this location, they do it with a smile. Thanks guys! I appreciate your help and friendly dimeanor.

Actual equipment was satisfactory.Low rating because of hidden fees: environmental and ‘cost recovery’ as well as scam of leaving gas at 3/4 full and then expecting customers to be able to ‘guess’ how to refill to that amount.Also, the add-on insurance is also scammy. Just like when renting a car, customers are pressured into paying for it without getting guidance on whether their existing insurance covers it.Nothing against the location, it’s corporate that’s dragging you down.

If I could give them a 0 I would. The staff was friendly enough, but they are extremely under staffed which resulted in terrible, rushed customer service. After my sister spent over two thousand dollars to have her stuff moved across country in one of there pods it was nearly impossible to get someone to help us pull it out of their extremely unorganized storage area where they are kept to get some of her belongings out. From there it was downhill. The poorly crafted pod wouldn’t shut again and getting someone to help took forever. On top of that they could never find her in the system while resulted in every phone call and visit taking even longer. Once it was time to get her pod delivered (which we were told was included in the original fee) it was another nightmare. They wouldn’t deliver it on the weekends and it would be another $90 charge after being told it was included. They need more help and the staff needs additional training. I have never had such a terrible experience with a business in my life. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere to save yourself a headache.

Revised: Uhaul got back to me and refunded $49.90 because the said I was accidentally charged for 2 rental periods. Bumped to three stars because the cost is still not 19.99 and they should be more clear on their trucks about the actual cost. Also the contact-less pickup option basically did not work. I still needed to goto the front counter to get my keys and the truck. I received out-of-sync texts from the automated system and it seems like the people at uhaul were operating until one set of rules and the automated pickup another set of rules.Uhauls fees are extremely misleading. I rented a 10 truck for 2.5 hours and drove 27 miles. How much do you think that would cost? Well the truck says $19.99 on the side of it. Nope, $110... I can understand the fees for insurance but a 40$ truck fee? Safe trip fee? Environmental fee? Michigan fee? Ill not be renting from uhaul again, will be cheaper for me to install a hitch and buy my own trailer.

Employees were great. Uhaul was not. How do you put 2-3 employees at most at the registers and have lines leading all the way out the door 100 feet long. The employees were overworked, there were not enough kiosks or help available in the store to deal with such a busy location. The equipment was also terrible, not due to age or usage. The trailers are junk. No shocks or suspension to protect any cargo. You might as well tie whatever you need to tow to your back bumper and drag it to its destination. You would probably do less damage.

I reserved a 15ft truck recently, and the experience both in using the truck and reserving it online were great and smooth.My concern was the lack of safety precautions regarding COVID-19. This was my dropoff point and would have been contactless, except for I was surprised from just a few feet behind by an employee, maskless, asking for the keys. They were generally kind, although had clear interest in the safety of themselves or others. Its also important to note I had the same problem at my pickup, where customers were in and out without masks, and the cashier had no mask. The cashier at that location was very pleasant in communications, although we are experiencing a pandemic. Safety is appreciated. To be clear this was just a day before mask requirements and fines were mandated.This isnt political. I care about the safety of everyone and would expect the same in return. I did my best to make sure I wasnt in any position to spread anything to anyone else, and would expect the same from a place of business during a pandemic.In the past my experiences with U-Haul have been great, but this was truly a sad excuse for safety. I have been very precautionary since March, and if I do end up sick in the next week or or so at least Ill know where it came from. I wouldnt have rented a truck if it werent necessary.

To only have one person working to handle all of the reservations today is RIDICULOUS. I waited in line for 45 minutes even after checking in online.

Not impressed with their customer service. Rented a uhaul and asked for them to make sure the wiring was good and it wasnt. Had to make them REDO IT TWICE. How do you expect to send someone across the country with a NON working trailer???? If anything goes wrong, I am holding this company ACCOUNTABLE.

Worst place ! Don’t get your hitch done hear and most definitely don’t get the wire done here!Hitch was installed wrong and wire was the wrong module ended up messing up the vehicles Lighting control module.

Hands down nicest bathroom of all time. Clean fresh and a delight to use.... also very flexible staff and 5 star service.

Rachel was extremely helpful and friendly! We rented a trailer and she hooked it up for us and insured that all the lights worked, we actually had a blown fuse and she helped us until we successfully left the lot with everything we needed. Great service! Well be return U-Haul customers and recommend the Troy location :D

Ive used U-haul services in a number of places and this one has given me the best experience consistently now over a couple of visits. They make it really easy to check in and out. The workers always check me in and make sure Im happy with everything and explain everything. Prices are pretty standard for the company as a whole. If you have moving needs, Id highly recommend coming here.

Dave at the Troy U-Haul did a fantastic job installing a permanent hitch on my Jeep Cherokee. There were multiple options and he made recommendations on which one would look/function best. Others were bulky and Im glad for his recommendation because it looks very clean underneath the bumper.Ive been using the hitch for a couple months now and have had zero issues.The pricing here was also better than the other shops I got quotes from.5/5 stars. Would definitely get a hitch installed here.

At first, they charged me $28 extra for 49miles, I only drove 11 miles. I contacted store owner, she replied me immediately saying she will look into it. The next day she refunded me all the extra charges.I appreciate the way she handled the issue. I definitely recommend this store to have good customer service.

The Troy facility was ALWAYS clean and comfortable. The staff were ALWAYS exceptionally pleasant and very accommodating.Your storage is the only place that I would recommend to anyone.

The phone service here is really strange (my call was answered in a call center during open hours, and they had to leave a message to have someone from the store call me back). This is strange, inconvenient and brings a very poor first impression of customer service.BUT once in the store, everything was great. They installed a U-Haul hitch on my Mazda RX-8 in a timely manner. I came to U-Haul because their hitch part was higher quality and more robust looking than the other aftermarket option. I received excellent service and they were able to definitively answer all my questions. I would come to the Troy store again for hitch-related needs.

Have used them a couple of times for truck hire and find equipment to be in good condition - had no problems with their equipment or billing. I definitely recommend this location.

Rented an enclosed trailer for moving. I instructed the employee that i would be returning the trailer that night after closing hours. She informed me i could leave the uhaul from where i picked it up and it would be checked in the next morning. I returned the trailer that night, yet my checking account was charged for an additional 3 days, in result over drafted my account. Here I am 3 days later still no return call from any manager, and a negative bank balance and a $35 fee because of uhaul over-drafting. Will never be using again. Hopefully they return all of my money and my bank fee. Ridiculous.

I have currently been sitting on hold for 30 minutes now. Wondering if they really want any business........ If they dont have anyone to answer simple questions over the phone, how will they treat you in person?

They are alwsys very helpful. Have rented a various times in past twi years. I rented a 5x8 trailer andpulled it to AZ in Ictober 2015, it worked out very well and they had gone over all the possible options i could use before i chose the trailer to pull behind my Ford Escape (Titanium midel w bigger engine). I would have given them 5 stars but i had to wait around for sn hour and hslf even though i had reserved it and showed up 15 min before they opened; the guy who helped me was very new at his job and had to ask an associate everything to write up myorder; then hook up the trailer. Other than that it was o k. And they seem to keep their trucks and trailers in good shape and they are clean.Titanium model w a bigger engine)

I return the truck at night as agreed, and fill the gas as the same level they gave me, but they changed almost 7$ for fuel which I already filled, but it seems they took the chance I am not there

If anyone is wondering the Uhaul $50 guarentee is meaningless! Its a sham! You will spend hours waiting in line only to be told that a different location has your $50. But wait, this new locations computers are down. Now you need to call customer service, who will repeatedly hang up on you, until you eventually give up and let the greedy bastards keep your money.

We dropped off our Uhaul truck at this location. The drop off and check in process was quick and easy: no problems.

Installed my trailer hitch, professional and courteous staff.

Called Tuesday evening (@6:50) and asked about strap extender. They gave the weight allowance on them, told they come in different lengths and were in stock. Got there this morning only to be told they dont actually have them in stock. Very frustrating and a giant waste of time. Know what you actually carry at the store.

Refills propane and good experience renting trailer

Waited for 20 minutes to get propane tank filled. After 10 minutes I was told someone would be out in a few seconds. After another 10 minutes I was told I dont know what to tell you.. Disappointing, but a lot of places sell propane.
