The capital of Troy is the definition of a devil corporation/pyramid scheme, somewhat intertwined. This company preys on individuals who are actively seeking employment through job search apps and websites. They will invite you for an interview based on what your profile on these sites says you have experience in/what you are looking for employment in. They will tell you that you are one of a selected few that has been chosen for the position. You will be invited to another interview, only you though, no one else was good enough(not true, everyone gets a second interview). They then rope you into coming back out for a “training” day, in which they will tell you you are going door to door, selling at&t cable and internet packages to section 8 homes in sketchy areas, using your own personal vehicle, paying for your own gas, and even wearing your own business causal attire.

This place is completely awesome, the atmosphere is VERY welcoming, the reps are friendly and caring. The owner is awesome he hangs out with his reps and they go on yacht trips, travel the world, money and have fun together. They push everyone to be great and the growth opportunity is amazing . In this business it is over 17 people that started in this business and became multi millionaires being under the age of 30

Had a great interview with one of their managers this week. The guy was very upfront on what was expected out of me. Theyre a growing company in need of more management and they were very clear that Id start in a sales role and if I put up results I would have opportunity to take on a higher role in a short amount of time. Pretty funny to see some of these reviews talk themselves out of a position. Thank you for that, my chances for the position are a lot better now ;)

Im using an alias due to the nature, but i was brought in told Id be paid for training and paid based on salary plus commissions. after my first week of being un paid for training and paid solely on commissions I quit. its an absolute scam a house of lies. I only gave them a 2 star rating because the people outside management are very friendly and kind but I wouldnt recomend if you need a job.

I sent in my resume on a whim on Ziprecruiter. I got the alert that it had been opened and within 30 seconds got a call... clearly they just went straight for the phone number, ignoring all else. After doing research and discovering they’re door to door sales, I sent them an email respectfully declining an interview but they continued to call and email for days.I ignored them, so you can imagine my shock when they sent me a confirmation email for an interview I never agreed to, a specific time set up and everything. To set up an interview without my consent, after I have already declined, is about the slimiest thing I’ve ever heard of.

This place is a scam. Drove hours away for an interview and was asked to come back the next day for one, which I almost did, only to do some research and find that this is actually a company called Detroit Business Consulting. It all seems too good to be true, I thought I was getting the opportunity of a lifetime but just wasted tons of time and gas. They are very convincing but unfortunately are scam artists. It truly broke my heart. Detroit Business Consulting has HORRIBLE reviews on glassdoor and other websites with tons of people claiming they were scammed in numerous ways and MANY people never even paid for work they did for the company. Im dearly sorry for anyone like me who gets lured into this gimmick.

Not recommended.You can expect to interview for any title, yet you start as a commissioned direct sales rep. You will be guilted into spending 50+ hours a week with coworkers, and you will be pulled away from your family and friends.

This job is nothing more than a door to door sales job. During the interview process they will not tell you a single word about this. All they speak about is this growth potential, business trips, making all this money, ect ect & its all a total lie. I would rate this company a 1 out of 10 when it comes to its ethical rating. Their worst business practice is they even lie to you about the commission rates during interviewing & training. People they employ are usually very naive & young so thats the only reason they stay because they ignorantly think this job will look even somewhat good for a future resume. OK- SO Capital used to be called Detroit Business Consulting, started by Mike Rosenberg. I worked for them for 2 years, and am using a false name because last time I told the truth online about them, CEO ROSEY pretty much threatened to destroy my career or whatever. They got so many bad reviews that they decided to change the name of the company so google reviews and Glassdoor wouldnt identify it as the same company. LET ME TELL YOU- its the same company. Theres three offices in the Troy office, each is a managers office. Basically you get there in the morning, they welcome you in with claps and cheering like youre in elementary school again. They then proceed to make you sit through an hour meeting (standing) because this isnt a real office. They try to get you all inspired about your work day which is going door to door trying to sell at&t, Comcast or quill. OR business to business. This a door to door business do not let them fool you with their fancy words. You train for a week and then get promoted to go door to door by yourself. Its straight commission, you dont get a salary or whatever. Youll always notice people are constantly quitting because its such a waste of time ans they trick people into working for them. The receptionists call random ass people and lie to them to get them to come in for an interview. They also post false ads on craigslist and job finding sites like hiring bartenders and shot girls because they want to bring in sociable people in for interviews. This place is a joke. Have fun lol

The job description/posting was misrepresented and the interview was a waste of time for most based on the reviews on this company and for someone who is an experienced professional a waste of time and downright insulting. After reading many of the posts it appears others felt duped by the job description, wasted valuable time and energy only to find out that Detroit Business Consulting and Lucky Group Consulting are concealing in their job descriptions as well as, concealing important information during the interview process that some if not (all) of the positions posted are advertised as professional level positions but after further investigation are commission only, low skilled, low level door-to-door sales positions under the guise of professional development and promotional opportunity. During the interview, I was shocked to find out that they expect everyone regardless of skill and experience to start out as entry level and work their way up.” News flash! For those of us who have a solid track record and are considered SME’s in our professions we’ve already proven ourselves in professional environments and it would be insulting and degrading to be asked to work in a capacity that is beneath our skills and experience under any circumstances. Worst place to work. i worked for them for a few months and barely made a dime. its all a scam!!! theyll tell you its an office job and its no, your outside all day on your feet in places that have section 8 or social security offices or theyll have you go to a store and solicit. they say itll pay 12 and hour and its all commission . if you dont get any one to sign up for the government phone you dont get paid. not to mention you dont get lunch breaks and you have to drive your car to whatever area they tell you to sell. i regret this job, it put miles on my car and we had to wear business casual clothes when theres nothing business or professional about them

I went on 3 interviews for this place they told me the job was for digital marketing then when I got there for my first day it was selling AT&T door to door. When I confronted them about it they said you have to work your way up in the company. Not once in any of the 3 interviews I went on did they say anything about door to door selling.
