Positives: Co-workers that are not leadership are great. They work their butt off and the comradery is excellent. Pay is ok enough to live. You get to work outside by yourself. Gets your foot in the door for utility work. They hire just about anyone because turnover is so bad so its easy to get on board.Cons:Unsafe business practices and work. They have made people stay out in the field during tornado alarms, knowingly had us use unsafe equipment, and other things. Be prepared to work in the rough parts of town, go into houses with lice and bedbugs, and encounter dogs every now and then.Corrupt leadership, that have no accountability. They make terrible choices and they only care about metrics. They waste a tremendous amount of companys money with no repercussions. Safety is completely secondary to them. If you speak up about something be prepared for them to hold a grudge against you. HR will always take leaderships side of things so dont bother contacting them either unless you want the unprofessional leadership to treat you badly. When your review comes up they will never give you a perfect score. When you ask what you can do better they wont have an answer for you or give you a vague excuse about why they scored you low. They also give you very vague instructions and vague information that way if you mess up they cant be held accountable for it.The work itself isnt bad... The problem is that no matter how hard you work or how much you do it will never be good enough to satisfy them. They set near impossible goals and metrics purely to lay you off as soon as possible. They will give you equipment that you are required to have on you, yet if you break it, lose it, or it gets stolen a $500 deductable comes out of your paycheck. The iphone 6 you will carry isnt even worth that amount of money.
Avoid at all costs, office people are rude and could care less. They have a sign out front saying accepting applications yet aren’t accepting applications so there’s that.
