I would not recommend this company in any way, shape or form. Basement remodel took three times as long as promised. Several trades walked off the job during the project (full finished basement) due to Rebuilding MI not paying them for the job. Communication was abysmal, only showing up to the job site when expecting a check. We had electricians working until 10pm and saw them smoking drugs in our driveway before work that evening…. do your research about this company before considering, as they have a litany of complaints with the BBB under their current (AND FORMER) names.

My husband and I live in Bloomfield Hills and our bathroom was in desperate need of construction and remodel. Rebuilding Michigan was able to tailor the bathroom to meet all of our needs. They went above and beyond our expectations to fulfill what we wanted the finished project to be. My contractor was very efficient, always on time, kept the job-site well maintained and was a great communicator. I couldnt be happier with how my bathroom turned out and look forward to having Rebuilding Michigan complete my kitchen and other projects after the first of the year! I would definitely recommend Rebuilding Michigan as I have already passed along their info to several of my friends and family!

I had a wonderful experience in having my bathroom remodeled. I was nervous at first because you hear so many nightmare stories, especially with bathrooms. But, my worries quickly faded away as the contractor assured me and talked through every step of the way! I will definitely be using them again for future projects!

Stay away from this company!! Rebuilding Michigan is a fraud. Horrible customer service, no follow through, Kirk, Tom, Chris are liars and crooks.Kirk came out to see what we wanted to be done and gave us an estimate. At first, they looked nice, they charged me for the 25% of the total estimate, and they disappeared! I was told building a bathroom in my basement would take at most 2 weeks. As I write this review, it has been 4 months and still they have not even started the project!! And yet they are unable even to give me an estimated start date!!First Kirk brought out a guy, showed the basement to him, and I was told they are going to start the job from the day after. On the day they were supposed to start, they didn’t show up. I called the guy he said I thought Kirk already told you, there were some problems, and he will find another crew for you!!! I called Kirk, he was not aware of that at all or at least pretended to!! It passed another couple of weeks and after calling them every day, he passed the job to Chris. Then again we had to go through the whole process now with Chris. He brought another crew! Again didn’t work out!! They brought multiple crews into my house and none of them worked out!!! I should also mention that the company is impossible to reach and does not return calls. This company used to be “total home solutions” and they filed bankruptcy and opened rebuilding Michigan, Low life/fraud people that they dont care about you or your home. Go check their reviews on Yelp and other places before even thinking about starting a project with them! You can also check them out on the local news!

Rebuilding Michigan (aka Kirk Ramsey and Tom Bugbee) got me ... They destroyed my bathroom leaving me homeless for 2 months and did unlicensed and illegal electrical work that left my home in a dangerous situationI won a judgement against them for 5,100.00 in Westland and filed complaints against their builder license at the State of Michigan and attorney general ( still working on getting them prosecuted locally).Even after working with them to correct the issues, they tried to screw me. Im uncertain if they are arrogant or just stupid. Prison would be too kind for them.

Save yourself the headache and sub contract the work out yourself. Thats all they did. In some instances it seemed as though they just found some random on the internet to perform the work (sub par work I might add) which resulted in the sub threatening to put a lien on my home because he wasnt getting paid. So that was fun. The shuffling of contractors to different job sites resulted in the job taking about twice as long as quoted, but it did get done, despite the best efforts of the project manager Kirk to continue to take contractors off the job and send elsewhere. Finally, we have a leaking shower now, apparently because their contractor didnt install it correctly so we will need to pay to have it fixed by a professional. Ohh, and their workmanship warranty? They wont honor it, so dont consider that a selling point. This isnt their first go around either, look up total home solutions, these guys have been at this scheme for a while.

I would like to Greatfully thank Rebuilding Michigan for a job well done! I had lost hope in trying to find a solution and a contractor to put back together my basement after the flood damage. Most of my insurance claim went to the mitigation contractor.Hats off to Kirk from Rebuilding Michigan, who found a way to Redo my basement with what left over Insurance Claim I had left. Two other contractors could not come up with a solution. I also I commend the workmanship as well as the cleanliness done by Jimmy and his crew! This all happened two weeks after I just moved in. I Highly recommend Rebuilding Michigan to anyone who needs their services!Tony T.
