The Chateau went over and above for our wedding day on 9/17/21. We were told it was the best wedding food our guests have ever had! Sam and Jerry were so easy to work with and accommodating. Our day would not have been possible without the Chateau. The venue is absolutely beautiful. I could not have been happier with our choice in venue. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I went to website and filled out a request for an event form online april 14, 2021. The event request was for October 2022. I received back a four sentence reply saying“ all Saturday’s in October are booked. There may be a Sunday open. At this time we are extremely busy getting ready to open for events following appropriate mandates. Our sales person will contact you as soon as she can.”Pam StilesThere was no apology, no thank you for your interest in our business, no greeting, no salutation, no price list as requested, no personal attention at all. As if they did not need my business. So they’re not getting it. And by the way no one ever contacted me, and it’s been almost one month. I didn’t even get any info on this email if it was from the caterer affiliated with the Chateau or if it was from Wayne county who owns the Chateau and Elizabeth Park.Shelly Schutt

My fiancé and I booked our wedding with Kosch and started planning our dream wedding. Things quickly went south with lack of communication on their end. First our tasting event was canceled one week prior to the event, next our event coordinator left the company and we were assigned someone new, this was not communicated to us until trying to contact the previous coordinator in an attempt to finalize some details. It was a constant voice mail and email waiting game dealing with them. Finally we were told just 30 days prior to our wedding that our event would not be able to go through and no dates would be available the remainder of the year. Faced with this tough decision we requested a refund being as no services had been rendered and they would not be able to host our wedding and on such short notices a change of venue or date simply was not possible or acceptable. I was then told that they would not honor a refund. So our deposit plus extra money paid towards our event is all being withheld without and services being provided. DO NOT BOOK YOUR EVENT WITH KOSCH!

Amazing staff and facility. I hosted a bridal shower and would not hesitate to book again for any event. The facility was clean and beautiful, right on the water. The staff is exceptional in every way. The food was fresh and delicious. It was a smooth and flawless event guided expertly by the wonderful team at Chateau on the River. I just had my wedding at the Chateau and I was not disappointed! We invited 184 guests, and the hall capacity is 190. We ended up with 150 guests total, and had plenty of room! This hall is a gem. They have most things already on site, which is a big part of the planning process. The food is incredible. We even had room for a photobooth, which our guests loved. The team at the Chateau is friendly, and can take on any request you may have, and I had a lot! Our day went without a hitch, and I know its because the event staff had everything under control. It was the best day of my life, and I am truly glad I chose the Chateau as my wedding venue.

Beautiful and expensive but worth the memories

Jerry and his staff, there are too many to list by name, are the greatest. There isnt anything they do not do to please and make your event the best it can be. The venue is beautiful and clean. The food was the talk of everyone at the wedding. More compliments about how the food did not taste like normal wedding food that it was delicious and above any food they have eaten at a wedding. Something always, even though small seems to go wrong with a wedding, but not this wedding. Jerry and staff made sure nothing went wrong. Kudos to all of you and thank you for such a great experience.

I was discussing event plans with Lezlee for over a 2 months. She stopped returning my phone calls and emails mid planning my event. Despite my daily phone calls to her and repeated emails, she did not get back to me about questions I had for her in a timely fashion, even waiting over a week at one point. I figured she must have gotten a better deal and was dodging my phone calls, I was correct. She called me back with less than 2 months left until my projected event to tell me that “someone just took that date YESTERDAY.” While I do understand that as a company they would take a higher offer, however I would have liked to be updated instead of completely ignored and then told that my date was no longer available. So unprofessional and such an unfortunate experience. We hold multiple events a year and it is safe to say that none will be held here.

We had our wedding (ceremony and reception) here last Saturday, everyone Loved the venue!! The building is beautiful! The Staff is kind and happy to help with whatever! The Food all was very very yummy! Top Knotch!! Highly recommend

Really nice, had a fantastic time enjoying the fireworks and free entertainment. The environment was clean. Just had an overall great day.

I had nothing but compliments from my guests on how wonderful/beautiful the wedding and reception were that we held at this venue. Everyone enjoyed the food. The employees were great from Amber and Jerry helping with set up, to the wait staff. Only suggestion would be to negotiate prior to signing as I was told they do negotiate price and upgrades on linens to make the sale. However I wasnt aware until after I had signed and they werent willing to budge. We paid for minimum of 100 people and only had 70, and they wouldnt do any upgrades even though we were paying for 30 extra meals. Also because we had the wedding on sight as well, it was somewhat inconvenient to have to put my dress on in the bathroom while guests were arriving for the wedding. Overall though, It was a beautiful place to celebrate our day.

My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at the Chateau on the River, and it was a beautiful, fantastic experience. We worked with Amber and Lana, who both worked really hard to make sure our event went off without a hitch. The entire staff was SO friendly and helpful. Our guests were raving about how perfect the place looked and how it was a beautiful space for a wedding. I will be telling everyone I know to look into the Chateau for a wedding venue! It was a perfect experience from start to finish. We picked Kosch Caterings platinum package, which was affordable but still felt swanky, what with the included premium open bar, two entrees + a pasta, salad, potatoes, veggies, other assorted side dishes, a late night snack, appetizers during cocktail hour, linens, chair covers, and coordinating chair sashes. We definitely got the most bang for our buck here.*Something worth sharing is that Uber/Lyft will NOT come pick you up from the Chateau past a certain time! (I think it is 10:00.) Since this gorgeous venue is inside a public park that closes, some of our guests who didnt want to drive home had to walk to the front of the park to get picked up by Uber. That isnt the Chateaus fault, of course, but it is worth considering!Overall, every part of working with Kosch Catering at the Chateau on the River was really easy and beautiful. I am so grateful for the time and effort they put in to make sure our wedding was so lovely! They are definitely professionals!

I stood up as a Bridesmaid in my best friends wedding on February 25th, 2017. I was delighted when she chose such a beautiful place to celebrate her special day. I feel compelled to write a review about how outstanding this venue is. The staff was very kind, professional, and accomodating. THE FOOD! Not only did the buffet options look and smell amazing, each dish was beyond delicious! Also, the bathrooms were kept tidy, and toilet paper was in stock all night long. (These are majorly positive points!) They also had a complimentary basket in the ladies room that had emergency items such as bobby pins, spray deoderant, tampons.The views are breathtaking and I think it served as the perfect place to have a beautiful, romantic reception.
