Reserved a storage unit, have been in contact with their customer service for three days in a row now. The gate code won’t work. Their temporary codes don’t work. The facility manager hasn’t called back. I appreciate the kiosk automation but they need some real customer service. I want my money back. It’s ridiculous. The facility manager should call me.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I have paid for this unit for a year. Last month, there was an issue with the gate where no one could gain access on a Sunday. They fixed for most people, but I could not gain access for over two weeks. Every time I called, I had to be at the gate for assistance. They gave me different codes, had me try over and over again. Every day for over two weeks, I was told that someone would call me back. I still to this day, haven’t received a call back. I was told I would get a credit equal to the time I was locked out and they gave me a credit for $12. $12 for over two weeks of driving back and forth, waiting on hold for hours during that period of time. Also, the call center is outsourced so no one can pronounce my name. Horrible experience. I will be moving all of my stuff out within the next month even if it means paying more somewhere else. Red Dot Storage does not care about their customers. Beware of this place!
I had both a unit and parking spot at the trenton location. I had no issues while I was there for two years. The gate did break once during our stay but they got it fixed and my vehicle and the storage unit was perfectly fine during that time. Units were reasonably priced and customer service was easy to get a hold of and were helpful.
Ive been unable to get into the 2 storage lockers that I pay for unfailingly because they refuse to credit my account with my payment! It is now 02-17 and I have been trying to get an issue resolved since 12-21.My bank automatically sends out my payment. The payment sent in November for my December bill was received by Red Dot and cashed, but they did not credit it to my account. I have spoken to Red Dot people at least 7 times (twice with managers) who keep telling me they are sending msgs to another department.Twice Ive sent a copy of the check that shows they cashed it, after being told repeatedly they did not receive it. There is no way to speak to someone who has any clue what is going on, although Im frequently assured someone will get back to me (which they dont). To say Im frustrated would be downplaying my reaction to this company.Currently, I am filing a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General as I have no other idea how to get them to deal with this. You may save a couple of bucks renting from them but, trust me, you do not want to deal with them.
Horrible service. I was moving and had my furniture in storage. Came with movers and trucks. Tried several attempts to get in. Customer service could not figure out why gates would not open. I finally got an answer. There response was their manager was out of town and would not be able to open until 5 days later so money out for movers and basically holding my furniture hostage. I requested a phone call from management. They never returned my phone call.Their solution leave the gates open! The gates have been open for over a month. No lights that work. Does not appear to have working cameras. What a joke. Every time I call customer service they are not open. Great concept!! EPECT FAIL!!!
Went twice, couldnt get in either time. The gate code didnt work and spending an hour on the phone with the tech didnt work. They need some help!
There a couple issues with this place. 1-there is never an employee on hand for assistance. 2-if the power goes out here which happens with any significant wind the entrance gate doesnt work until they reset things. Which is a problem if trying to access your unit.
They just keep increasing storage prices. Web page for paying bill, etc. So outdated!
This place is horrible I have had nothing but problems with them, they never contact you when they change your password, they tell you your unit is 24 hours to get into but yet I have had more than one occasion happen where I cannot access it, then call them and they dont answer because the customer service office is closed. I loved the original business that was here before red dot storage.
