Super friendly staff and fairly knowledgeable about the pets they carry and other products. We went in just to visit and left adding a pet milk snake to our home. He is very calm and easily handmade. The store also provided us with a care sheet and his feedling logs since they got him.

Large and spacious PetSmart. They were out of a few things. We went for a life jacket for our dog and they were out but had a great selection of everything else. The staff were also really friendly.

This location is very convenient for me. I highly recommend this location. I have been a customer of this store since it opened many years ago and Ill keep coming back. Im sure it is possible to find some items at a lower cost online but I personally like in-person shopping for bigger items and for items Im unsure about. The person(s) that handles hiring do an excellent job because staff are always pleasant and helpful. A smile goes a long way! Store is always very clean.

Wonderful and friendly staff! They have almost everything I need or want for my fish. They do need a little more to chose from for their parrots. I love the option of online shopping or comparing their online price with their store. Always rely on petsmart as its MY families store.

Ginsburg had his first visit to the groomers. He was much better behaved than the 125# Shepherd in line ahead of him.

The staff is always nice. Always. However, they are one of the only pet stores in Traverse City and they never have what i need for the lizard i bought there. Literally never. How can you not be stocked with food and such for the animals you sell. They have not had raoches anytime i have called over the last 2 months. When we called today they told us that they only get an order once a week and its only enough to feed 1 lizard for a week. I know we arent the only ones with a lizard because they never have roaches. They dont know anything about how to take care of them or else theyd order more. So frustrating.

Super high prices, but if you need something quick for your pet that is hard to find then you cant beat this place. Employees are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Would love to shop here more, but I save so much on essentials shopping online, and the big W and M stores in town.

Ive had fish for over ten years. According to a pet smart worker. Im abusing and over crowding my fish. Told me im not providing enough room for them and refused to sell me 3 female guppies. I only wanted to give my one female, that i have at home, some friends because she is alone. I drove over an hour and waited almost 15 minutes for help for them to tell me they were refusing to sell to me. I even asked if it be okay if i set up a new tank and nope. Tank has to be set up a week in advanced. Never again ill find fish anywhere else before i deal with the customer service i was provided today.

I may not be an adult but I have an experience to share. The staff are nice and help you find the right pet you need, and even grooming! Me and my mom brought my dog to be groomed, I could tell the girl that was grooming my dog was new. They had my dog ( red nosed pitbull, super nice and silly!) on a leash that was attached to a the ceiling, he was up high on a table. She was checking his body and he fell off the table and was strangled! She tried to get him up but couldnt, she had to ask the lady next to her. That was a scary incident, and my dog is old. Other than that, it is a pretty nice place.

This place knows nothing about taking care of animals, cages too small and care guide a joke. Dont go to any pet store in town but tropic cove. They actually care about their animals.

Great place for grooming your pet. It was a 3 hr. spa day bath, nails, trim, brush, shedding solution and then yet an infusion bath at the end to keep away dry skin and itching then of course the warm drying.

I went in looking for some heating bulbs for a bearded dragon, and their selection is huge. It might be a bit more than you would pay online, but the convenience is well worth it. They also have live insects! All in all pretty great selection of items for reptiles. Aside from that of course they have all the stuff you could need for dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Friendly staff, and a good selection! Would recommend!

I went in there the other day to get a box of dog treats.... Then went to Walmart after that... The same exact treats were half the price of Petsmart!! 😥 I wasnt very happy to see that. So I bought the rest of the treats at walmart!! 😊

The associate was supportive in my search for a dog harness.

I admit that in the past I wouldve given this place maybe 3 stars bc then it seemed like they didnt really care or take care of the small animals I saw. Cages were pretty dirty, some to young to be separate from the mothers already, etc. But now I go there about every month to restock n our beardies needs which is also where to adopted him. Place is much much cleaner. Animals seem happy and well cared for. The employees were so helpful and 2 of them knew a lot about the beardies we were adopting and even saved is from making a newbie mistake. Even when the advice kept is from purchasing an item they informed us which is something most stores dont do. My hamster Gatsby I adopted from there is still going strong and hes just a little over 2 yrs old which is great for a hamster. They have almost everything you can think of and I love that so many ppl can walk around with their pets. Traverse city Petsmart has my thanks and Ill keeping going..

Worst experience ever. Brought our shepherd in for a bath and furminator brushing to help with shedding ($60) and it was extremely obvious when we picked up our dog, he had not been brushed. Also, he was only there 50 minutes. There is no way to bath, dry and brush him in that amount of time. It usually is a 2 hour job. When I mentioned this to groomer (Meghan) she was extremely condescending and rude.

Associate went behind the scenes and found an item not on shelves for three weeks.

As far as Intellegent Employees go, there are few. Some crazy smart others not even close. Some Will let you throw fish in a tank with incredibly off parameters. HOWEVER. The people are incredibly nice and that does go almost as far as knowledge. So those with shining personalitys are actually helpful when it comes to just getting something random and getting help choosing between things(maybe a color for instance).The store is again full of wonderful people no matter who you run into,but they just might not know what you do. Ive bought multiple fishtanks and they were all seales absolutley perfect. No bubbles under the silicone or anything. Every brand has a their share of lemons but this petsmart is very considerate of you wanting to buy a product. They will do whatever they need to in order to ensure youre happy with what you left with. As long as you know what to youre gonna get. As far as stocking goes thats legit a 0 from me. Ive been asking for ages to get certian things and ive spent countless amounts of money in the store. You would think you could tend to a loyal customer but owell its not mom and pop but they try. My honest opinion.

PetSmart is great! Very convenient store with great helpers available. Connected with Banfield, my experience has always been positive. It is a bit pricey from what you can find online or anywhere else, but having a wider variety is nice to have when making decisions.

Groomers at Petsmart are the absolute worst. Took our shepherd in for furminator treatment and bath, he wasn’t even there an hour. The brushing alone takes that long. When we picked him up, hair was falling off him. He obviously had not been brushed. Groomer (Meghan) was extremely condescending and rude. Will not be back to this Petsmart.

A very nice and well kept store. The employees are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with Petsmart is their prices. I understand it’s more than online retailers, but some of the markups are 20-30% more than buying online. Also, the cat adoption center has weird hours and rules to apply to adopt so be on the lookout for that

I buy most of my dogs needs here at petsmart and have always been satisfied. I bought a gentle leader collar here the other day, and then noticed it was actually $10 more expensive than the same brand at pets naturally. Just a heads up in case anyone wants to save a couple bucks on one.

I go to PetSmart for toys and some foods for my Macaw. They do have a wide variety of animals and supplies. Staff is always welcoming and very helpful. I have also purchased a gerbil from them and he was a perfectly happy& healthy. Highly recommend.

I have been ordering my cats litter online and picking it up at the store. It is always ready for pickup within just a few minutes. This is greatly appreciated as I am driving through on my way to work and dont have time to go inside and gather what I need. Also, the boxes are very heavy and this way I do not need to handle them at all....until I get home anyway..!

Pretty good experience...Aside from fact that the staff in the fish department are super noisy....what size tank? What kind of fish do you have? How many fish do you have.I know this is corporate initiative butI just came in for a couple gold fish, not a rectal exam.

Had an appointment for grooming services, was turned away for not having a rabies certificate with me. They never told me of this requirement when the appointment was booked. The dog was wearing a current rabies tag from a local vet and had a county license which is not available without rabies certification. This was not good enough for them. Seems odd that you can take your dog into the store where it can be in contact with other dogs without a rabies certificate. Drove 65 miles round trip and wasted my afternoon.

Had the family dog groomed, the groomer was nice and the dog just loved her. Very reasonably priced as well.

Employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about the various products offered. They were also super nice during the check out experience.
