I would like to recommend Family Hearing if your having problems with your hearing. Extensive evaluation ended with a pair of hailing aids that allow me to enjoy nature once again. Ive been using hearing aids for decades. So many times I have been told that this insert the descriptor feature will make my hearing better. The truth is, I have not seen a lot of major changes in the industry. That is until this last set of hearing aids I purchased arrived a couple weeks ago. Wow. These Phonak hearing aids are a game changer! I can hear so much better on my cell phone and they have vastly improved the ability to keep wax out of the hearing aid. Finally, they have rechargeable batteries! It is awesome to not have to change a dying hearing aid battery in the middle of an important conversation or an interruption in my work. Dr. Hanrahan is outstanding in his knowledge of hearing aids and Pete up front is a legend in anything that may require a quick tune up. This place deserves 6 stars!

Being a hearing aid wearer for going on 20-years, I have a lot of experience with aids and providers. After recently losing my decade-old hearing aid, I was referred to Family Hearing by several friends. I was not disappointed. Hearing aid technology has improved greatly since I last purchased my haring aid and I wish I had upgraded sooner. My new Unitron devices are Bluetooth enabled (work with both my phone and PC), have a phone app and are rechargeable. My time spent with Dr. Paul Hanrahan was extremely informative and probably gave me the best advice Ive received from a hearing specialist. Life changing is the term I used at my follow-up visit, as my new aids me realize what Ive been missing by using my older-technology aids. I needed hearing aids last year and because my Tribe was paying for the bulk of the purchase and had a lot of paperwork involved, the first three places I called would not help me. The experience of getting hearing aides after a lifetime of not hearing well was an emotional rollercoaster for me.I was overwhelmed and this somewhat difficult transition was made far more pleasant by the amazing staff here. I am so thankful to have found Family Hearing Care!!! I have worn hearing aids since I was 35 and the old type of aids ( volume only) had worked okay until my hearing became too bad for them. I tried at least 7 other audiologists with disappointing results. The new digital didnt work for me. Many of these offices would not work with me to make the new types of aids work and actually grew quite upset with me. I was getting worried as I couldnt hear with any of them.When I started working with Dr. Paul, he kept adjusting the digital ones until I could actually hear better than I had in a long time. He was very patient and kept trying different things until it worked for me. I cant thank him enough and would recommend him and the office to anyone.

We were able to get two appts at the same time, for myself and my husband. After the examinations we were not rushed, great care was taken to help both of us understand each others hearing loss and difficulties that causes in communication. Adjustments were made to my husbands hearing aids. There is staff available to research insurance benefits. The expertise and service are excellent.

I have become familiar with the Family Hearing Care practice through the care of my elderly mother. Dr. Hanrahan is so patient with her and takes the time to make sure that her hearing aids are working at their optimum level. Recently, she entered assisted living, where her phone communication is her cell phone. She has been struggling to hear on it and was feeling frustration and isolation. Our appointment had just begun, with mom explaining her situation, and Dr. Hanrahan had a solution! He lent her their demo bluetooth device while they ordered one for her. We picked it up today. Mom can communicate with her cell phone easily now. I cant say enough about not only Dr. Hanrahan, but also Peter who runs the office. A most pleasant experience every single time.
