This is a business and they want to place as many people in jobs as possible.They supply the employers when their demands need more workers. If no one needs work they cannot pull jobs out of thin air. I found if you call frequently, have reliable transportation, flexible availability and are a reliable worker. You WILL get an assignment. Select is great they have kept me above water over the years.
