Repair man doesnt actually fix the issue. But creates another issue just to get called back. This is probably going to be the 4th or 5th time for the same issue. I dont want that Repair man to come back, send someone new.

The technician has extensive knowledge of the system and identify the problem quickly. He was great.My only disgust is the price of the service that sears charged me for something so simple. The price is extremely excessive. I dont think Im going to use them anymore.

Smelled something burning and discovered that our 220 wall socket had blackened out and the fused tripped 220 cord from dryer singed.  Sears said heating element caused the short and damage to cord and wall outlet.  Said they were responsible for damage when it was caused by the dryers heating element that shorted.  I ended up paying for repair to 220 wall socket of $110.00. I was never refunded for the repairs even after completing the necessary paperwork and included pictures of the damages.In September our washer went out which was covered. I scheduled a service call within 2 weeks. The first one was cancelled by SEARS claiming the repairman cancelled the call. In total we waited just over a month. We spent a lot of times at the local laundromat with an average 8 loads of was and hundreds in washing, drying costs. Never again with SEARS after 4 generations of being a loyal customer we were treated like #@%$!!

Tech notified and arrived in timely manner. Very professional, enjoyable experience with an obviously expert tech. Was quick, complete and understanding of the frustration we have felt waiting since late October (so 2 months) to get this fixed and how thru one major holiday event we were thwarted in our event and preparing for another immediately with an even larger crowd of people, made sure ALL was taken care of. Pleasant and supportive and job well done. He apologized for the lack of prompt service of Sears. Am not sure I wish to do any further business with Sears, and still awaiting another fix...my microwave, which went out before the stove was repaired. No compassion or support from sears in the form of getting us up and running for large family events, but A+ for the great technician.

Your technician was courteous and cheerful he ordered the parts my refrigerator needs, and as soon as they arrive I will install them as per his instructions. There is only 1 question I have, above the baskets that hold fruit and vegies there was a gasket which came with the refrigerator. We had taken them out as they kept on falling down, I told him about it and he said that you guys no longer provide that gasket and that it wasnt really needed. Other than that he was okay. Thanks for coming out and taking a look at my refrigerator.

On July 9th. technician Ben arrived late due to being inundated with calls. He checked the fridge, running warmer than it should, and discovered the compressor was turning on and off every 6 min. He cleaned it and reset the system. Said to wait 12-24 hrs. before temperature to come down to specs. 48+ hrs. later still had same issue.Today, July 12th I called Sears to get another appt. Now I am two weeks out for the next one. Apparently I am not a priority. Sears needs to hire more techs!!Note: The tech made a courtesy call to see if fridge reset. Said I would need to call Sears which I had already done. He apologized but this was my only recourse. I would give the tech 5 stars but I give Sears 2. We have been a Sears customer for many years but I felt we deserved more than a 2 week wait.

So...we purchased a water heater several years ago and paid for a service agreement. Recently, the indicator lamp showed that the filter needed to be serviced. We called a Sears service technician who came out and informed me that the installation team (Sears employee) had installed the water heater incorrectly: Service technician unable to remove burner unit to service filter. The maintenance technician called me back and told he had submitted a ticket to installation group. This morning, I contacted Sears to find out where the installation technician (who was to rotate the water heater 45 degrees so that the filter could be accessed for cleaning) was. I was told the following by Sears customer service Wayne Hodge employee # 611863: The water heater was installed more than a year ago and Sears does not cover installation problems after a year. We are not coming out. You should hire a plumber to move the water heater. I...in vain...responded that it was a Sears installer who evidently installed the water heater incorrectly as to prevent maintenance and as the home owner...I would not know that. I relied on the Sears installer to correctly place the unit. NO JOY! SEARS WILL NOT CORRECT THEIR INSTALLATION PROBLEM BECAUSE THE HOMEOWNER DID NOT DISCOVER IT IN THE FIRST YEAR! I AM SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR A PLUMBER TO COME OUT AND DO THE RE-INSTALL ON A COVERED ITEM FROM SEARS BECAUSE OF THAT. IS IT ANY WONDER WHY SEARS IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. WE ARE LONG TIME CUSTOMERS AND YOU CAN BE SURE THAT SEARS WILL NEVER GET OUR BUSINESS AGAIN...EVEN IF THEY STAY IN BUSINESS AT THIS POINT. IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS ON THE BEHALF OF SEARS SERVICE GROUP TO FIX A PROBLEM THEY CREATED.

The repairman had a couple of ideas of what might be done. He worked and worked on my machine. Finally he said he found the problem and pulled out a GIGANTIC ball of threads and hair that was blocking the water drainage problem.He set me up for Appliance Warranty and I got 50% off the service call for the day.He was so pleasant and kind. I really liked him and hope I get him again in the future.I hope his manager reads these ratings.

First let me say that the technician who ultimately did the work was excellent. That said, the technician that originally got the work order never called to say he was running late and the service desk didnt seem all that concerned that he had not called, even though he was over an hour past the estimated 4 hour window. The service desk person was actually irritated that we wanted to know when the tech would arrive and just wanted to extend the window for 4 more hours. Im not sure I will use Sears for future repairs even if it costs more elsewhere.

My refrigerator hasnt been working for more than a year now. Six technicians have come and still havent been able to figure out what the problem with my refrigerator is. Also, Ive had to miss work to meet the technicians, and on some occasions the technicians dont even show up. I have called the Sears office several times and only get to be put on hold, and in the end they dont pass me to someone who helps me fix the problem.

Microwave takes too long to warm up my food or drinks. I called Sears to have it check out. The tech ask me for a cup of water to put in microwave, after two minutes took out the cup and said to us the water is hot therefore I cant do anything about it. This Sears tech did nothing more to try to fix my problem. Waste of my time. Please remove this person from future repairs at my home. Very unhappy.

When I called for the appointment I told them the ice maker was not working. Why did the guy show up without a new one? I had to wait for a 2nd appointment a week later so he can come back with the Ice maker. Took 2 minutes to install. they should come prepared the first time they come. He said he did not have my model.When I made the appointment doesnt sears share that information with the technician? if they dont they should. It should not take 2 visits to fix. I work 7:00-4:00 and sears does not have appointments after 5:00 or Saturday or Sunday. so that means that the client has to arrange time during the day to be home for a 3 hour window until they show up.

Horrible experience.. we have since cancelled our Master Protection Plan because of this horrible service. Both the tech and the customer service department was to be nice about it the worst treatment we have ever experienced as a consumer.. We will no longer give Sears any type of business from us in the future and will be telling everyone we know to do the same...

Would have appreciated written documentation for visit as well as diagnosis and remedy of our problem. The problem was with the ice-maker. Currently the ice-maker is still not working the same as when we purchased a year ago. The ice runs out sometimes the same day. Our usage has not changed since the day we plugged the fridge into the electrical source. Not happy with the service and with the unit having issues only after a year. We paid over $2,000 for this fridge with a 5 year warranty. Both seem to be inadequate for the value.

The repairman was very helpful and courteous. However, I am feeling very frustrated and angry because the washer only worked for 3 loads after repair. Now I am being told I cannot have anyone come out until January 6th. So you didnt repair it correctly the first time and now I have to wait from dec 26 until the 6th!!!

This was the 4th visit, not counting one no show, for Sears to attempt to fix the same problem. One of Sears Master Protection Agreement promises is it that Well fix it on our first visit. This is unacceptable! Sears customer service is the worst Ive ever had to deal with. Will never purchase another item at Sears.

My last repair experience was extremely poor. My refrigerator had broken in exactly the same way and had taken roughly three months and at least six visits to repair not six months previously. Unlike the last repairmen, I emphasized that I wanted this repairman to go directly to the problem. Please identify the problem even if it meant checking the compressor, the condensers or the sealed system, instead of replacing a thermocouple and saying, Well, lets see if this fixs the problem. or The company wont let me check that until we can show that replacing every thermocouple, and the motherboard (and the leds) doesnt fix it. And you know it takes at least three days for it to get back down to temperature.What I like about this appointment:This repairman bypassed the six-month-old thermocouples, and the six-month-old motherboard and actually checked the compressor (a first!). A valve had broken, and, apparently, the GE compressor doesnt come with a 10-year warrantee like some other brands.What I did not like about the repair appointment:The first repairman never bothered to show up. The customer service rep. then refused to compensate me by re-scheduling the appt for the following day.What I liked:I finally cajoled her manager into scheduling me for the first appt of the following day with the repairman who lived nearest to our house (kudos to her).What I did not like:The customer service rep said that the repairmen handled the spoiled food vouchers and to talk to him. The Technician said that I had to contact customer service because they did not handle it. Will I ever be compensated for my spoiled food?

Horrible. Three visits, three different technicians. None of whom could properly diagnose the leak in my cooktop. They ordered multiple wrong parts. Didnt fix the cooktop. Now I am waiting for a $350.00 refund for the parts and service. They told me to go to Jenn Air, Duh!!!

Repairs were completed but cost was ridiculous. Replaced a rubber seal and door latch for $200 and serviceman was here less than 15 minutes.Never again,
