We have used a number of remodeling companies over the years, so I have a pretty good barometer of what to expect from contractors. From the very beginning of this project, Allied has taken it to a new level. Our sales rep and estimator were awesome and gave us incredible pricing for our windows. They were upfront with us explaining there were supply chain issues and to expect delays. We were in no hurry, so it wasnt an issue, but what impressed me was their honesty and how they were up front with us from the very beginning. They gave us a date to start the project and true to their word, they started the project on the date we were given. The installers were amazing. They took time to explain what they were doing and how long it would take to complete the job. They would check in with us throughout the day to keep us posted on their progress. What was really surprising was how clean they were throughout the project. At the end of the first day the house was so clean, it was as if they werent even there. At the end of the second day, I arrived as they were completing the job and Rick and his crew were vacuuming the house after they finished the job!!! What separates Allied from the rest of the contractors weve used is one of the owners of the company stopped by our home to make sure everything was going well. This type of service is rare and actually shows their commitment to their customers.I can not say enough about this experience and we look forward to using them again in the future.
Original review is not displaying. I contacted Google. They cannot tell me why….anyways reposting an updated review.I signed a contract with Allied on 4/29/2020 to remove our deck and replace it with a screened in porch--$45,000 project. The estimated start date: 6/16/2020, estimated completion date: 6/28/2020 (and was written in the contract). The project was not “finished” until around March 2021. We had to hire someone else to come in afterwards and fix mistakes that Allied made (general lack of quality/finishing details one would expect). To note, Allied said I did a final walk through and addressed everything and was satisfied. However, I just randomly happened to be home when the foreman, Mike, showed up randomly. The project wasn’t even finished, so how could that be a final walk through?Allied did not even apply for the permit until 6/25/2020 (3 days before est. completion date). They submitted the permit application wrong 4 times, delaying the permit being issued until 9/11/2020. Did they submit it wrong on purpose to see if the price of materials would go down so theyd make more profit? Not sure, I wonder. Work finally began on 9/18/21. Did it take about 2 weeks as noted in the contract? No. It took over 160 days. They blamed COVID-19 whenever they could. Did COVID-19 cause them to not submit permit until after work was nearly supposed to be done? Did COVID-19 cause them to submit the permit application with errors 4 times? I kept all invoices and materials were delivered within 4 or 5 days after orders were placed. They never gave us a valid reason for the delays..They also failed the 1st county framing inspection because they built something different then what they put on the permit application. Then they tried to build something different than what we agreed to in the contract to pass a 2nd inspection. They ended up tearing out about 5 days worth of work including the roof ridge beam, soffit ceiling, gutter, perimeter trim wrap and more because honestly what they built at that point was awful. They also failed a 3rd inspection (1st attempt at a final inspection). We had a pile of materials in the front yard from Sep 2020 until Feb 2020 (which killed our lawn), and our backyard was a debris field for most of that time. I had to ask them to come over multiple times to clean it up (nails, wood scraps, etc) so our dogs wouldn’t cut themselves. They did not measure the footer locations correctly, so they had to cut even more of our concrete slab out (meaning more to repair). We asked for a discount because of the delays and endless issues. They declined. I eventually posted a factually-based review that I could back up with email and county records. They contacted me. We came to a verbal agreement of a $5,000 price decline, that I’d sign a NDA, and they would install the last remaining item and be done. I then asked them to fix some minor items, but they declined. I backed out of the agreement because of this (I later had to pay another contractor to fix these items as noted earlier). I posted my review in several places, and the owner, Dean, sent me an email threatening me with civil and/or criminal actions. I told him to please point out any inaccuracies with my review and I also Ccd their attorney on my response. He never pointed out any inaccuracies, but did say he was done communicating with me. I retained an attorney because of this. Attorney I retained said I did nothing wrong that would warrant this and suggested that I sue for damages. I chose not to because we wanted this to be behind us.I would never recommend that anyone use Allied. Our experience was simply awful. Our PM, Nick Caperna, one of the guys on the commercial who states they believe in good communication, cut out communications with us. Last we heard from our project manager was 9/4/2020, despite multiple emails/phone calls trying to figure out what was going on.As space is limited, I have to cut this short. I have many more details as to why this experience with Allied was simply, in our experience, utterly miserable.
Everything Allied said they would do was done in a highly efficient and effective manner. Crew arrived on site at the scheduled time; crew was fully staffed; supervisor was on site all day and readily available if any issues arose; cleanup was perfect; and most importantly the new roof looks and is great in every respect. We wanted a high quality product; professional service; a fair price; and a good company delivering it. We got it all in .Allied
Justin James, the companys representative was a consummate professional. His knowledge of the product was very impressive and informative. Mr. James approach to developing a positive line of communications between himself and the clients were truly noteworthy. He answered all questions very candidly which gave both myself and my wife a sense of ease in discussing and describing what we were looking for in replacing the roof on our home.Yes, it is our intent to work with Mr. James once were able to work out the financial arrangements needed to pursue this project.Although I rated the company with 5 stars thats because it was highest rating possible using the current rating system. Otherwise, it would have been even higher!
Allied installed a deck for me. I gave them a 4 out of 5 because I think they can improve when it comes to communication. The deck was estimate start date was July 26th. I was starting to think they had forgotten about my deck until I got a surprised call in September stating they would be starting. I think a phone call would have been nice just to let me know they didnt forget and keep me from wondering. They started the deck and completed it in a few days. It looks beautiful, but there must be something going on with it bcuz Ive noticed on my security camera the city inspector and a guy Im guessing is from Allied checking out the deck after completion. Im not sure what is being done but something is. It would be nice to know exactly whats going on. Overall Im happy with the deck.
**UPDATE 3/8/21**I was quickly contacted by management at Allied and they promised to make things right. They mentioned that a new skylight clause has been added to their agreement. They sent a crew out within just a couple of business days and they had to remove the skylights and re-center them. There were also 2 guys who were to replace the trim on the inside but they had to wait for the skylights to be moved. Once the trim guys started, it took them about 6 hours to trim out the skylights. The shingles that looked raised have also been addressed. I am able at this point to recommend Allied to friends and family. Thanks to Ty, Kevin, Paul, and the team who helped address it.**ORIGINAL REVIEW**When we contracted with Allied, the initial consultation was great and the contact Ty was always available. Even up until the day of install he answered any text messages or phone calls that I made. My only issue with Ty, is that I asked how much it was to upgrade to architectural shingles. He did give the price and I was willing to pay the extra. I received zero response to that and they went ahead and ordered the standard shingles. There was a lack of communication on scheduling. I did receive some emails throughout the process in regards to when the shingles were ordered, scheduling soon, etc. However once there was a scheduled date, this moved frequently (a few times due to weather. I understand this being an exterior contractor myself) with little communication. I had to reach out late on a Friday night as they were to install on Saturday morning. I DID get a response that they were not coming, but not until late in the evening, after I juggled my Saturday plans to expect the roofers. The day of install the workers showed up early and worked very quickly. Allied was very quick to call and mention that some of the wood roof needed to be replace (I expected this and the contract states that it is extra.) No issues there. My main issue is the skylights. These were one of the last things that the guys installed. The old skylights had trim pieces attached to them that came down into the opening. There is now a huge gap and I was never made aware that this would be an issue. The bigger problem is that BOTH skylights are off center! Now that I have to trim this, I have no clue how I am going to make it look good! See attached photos of this. I would love for Allied to contact me and address how to fix this. The other issues are nominal but I am hoping that they will assist. Some of the shingles look like they are not laying down flat, I have found many nails in my yard including in my driveway where we park the cars, and they caused huge ruts in my yard from their truck and mud all over my driveway and sidewalk.I work for a large nationwide contractor and we would not leave a customer with this dissatisfaction. Word of mouth is everything and as it sits, I will not be recommending Allied. Mistakes happen, please reach out and address my concerns and I will be more than happy to revisit this review. My check is in the mail, please correct this before I regret submitting payment in FULL.
Horrible experience. Replaced my roof and actually caused a roof leak, less than 6 mos since full roof replacement. Owners on TV dont seem to care at all. They take your money and dont live up to their warranty when they cause you problems.
The Allied Remodeling staff, Justin James and Jean Kibler were very professional and responsive. I felt there cost was fair. The repair crew was punctual and timely. They also did a good job of cleaning up the debris.
Allied is to be commended for the outstanding customer service, roofing products and installation, and pricing. My partner and I are very satisfied with the quality of communication throughout the sales, contract, planning, preparation, installation, and follow-up process. Most importantly, roof tiles delivered the day before installation as promised and installation crew arrived promptly at 7 AM and completed job by 6 PM, including attention to detail, opportunity to review entire installation and very thorough clean-up of our entire property. Finally, all of this and very competitive pricing make it easy for me to highly recommend Allied for your roofing installation.
The shingles were delivered on Monday and the roof was installed on Tuesday. The installation guys were very courteous and professional. The roof and cleanup was completed in one afternoon. We are very pleased with the work that was completed. From the estimate, which was $800 cheaper than the nearest roofing company, we were kept informed. I will recommend Allied to all my friends and neighbors. Keep up the great work.Wayne and Gigi Phillips.
Absolutely amazing job! The guys were very professional, they clean up their mess and explained what they did. It looks wonderful. I recommend Allied Remodeling to anyone who want a great job done, considerate and knowledgeable office staff and the best warranty in the business.
Allied Remodeling of Central Maryland replaced our roof and gutters. They sent two separate teams, one team for roof replacement, and the other team for gutter replacement. To say we were very pleased with the end product of both teams would be an understatement. Once the roof was complete, the gutter team arrived. When the gutter team arrived, and before they started work, they were not satisfied with the color match to our house siding. They re-ordered a perfect match, which blended perfectly with our siding. We were totally satisfied with both team’s workmanship, professionalism, and especially the meticulous cleanup after the work was completed. We would highly recommend Allied Remodeling for your roofing or gutter needs.
One firm I will hire again and again without reservation.I appreciated the fact that they have two distinct groups of professionals performing their specialties. One crew of pro’s for roof installation; another group of pro’s for gutter installation. Quality of work exemplified why you never rely on one crew does it all. You would’ve never hired an electrician to repair/ replace plumbing. All the little details from prep to cleanup was exacting in professionalism. If I had a concern or question, they would address it immediately. My wife’s garden is her pride and joy; they took all the extra steps (quite literally) to avoid old roofing shingles to fall into her space. Even at cleanup they went through for any stray nails or shingle fragments in her garden. Painstakingly detailed.Tradecraft is very much alive at Allied Remodeling.I wish they would actually expand to all phases of residential remodeling. I then would not have to go blindly seeking another firm whose core belief is client satisfaction.
The workers started on time and completed the roof installation in one day…and we have several sections of roof! I was particularly impressed with the workers. They worked very hard and kept at it throughout the day.
The crew arrived promptly and were all very professional. They worked tirelessly to completely remove and replace the asphalt shingles on my home and detached garage. Since I manage rental properties for a living they have also replaced roofing on at least 8 homes in the last few years. I never had a bad experience! Absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof at extremely competitive prices.
Good service. I love my home’s new roof. However, their roof installers left nails on my driveway & in the yard.Update..The company was very responsive when i relayed to them the issue of roofing nails in my yard & driveway.. they sent 2 of their crews to nail sweep the same day (i just wish their crews had swept thoroughly when they installed my roof instead of me having to call them & complain about it).Overall, they rendered a pleasant service, I’m satisfied with my new roof. I just hope that none of those nails has punctured my vehicle tires.
Actual roof replacement went well (workers were great and quality of work was great). However I received an estimate for Approx. $3400, final bill was $5075. The contract did cover the reasons for the extra costs, however I feel the original estimate was priced purposely low knowing that the final cost would be much higher.
I had a 100% totally awesome experience from beginning-to-end with Allied Remodeling. The process started with the sales visit from Carroll Ziegler who was extremely thorough, prepared and naturally pleasant. The actual installation group was on-time and ready to work, with a very responsive hands-on site manager and/or crew leader Bryan Polano. Needless to say this provided me with great comfort in addressing any issues and/or concerns immediately. The business office headed by Ashley Dietz was also very responsive and easy to work with. In addition and almost always, issues may and do arise, the satisfaction is in the timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Overall, I am very very pleased & satisfied and already begun to recommend Allied Remodeling to others!
As advertised Allied is professional, courteous and efficient. They are a great company with which to work. Highly recommend.
Materials where delivered on Thursday and put on the driveway. Roofing team showed up on Friday at 7:30am and went right to work. They were expected to finish by the end of day but it was turning cloudy with a slight drizzle. The team did finish despite the rain and cleaned up so they would not have to come back the next day. Excellent effort by this roofing team and a job well done. Paul & Patty
Things started off a little rocky with the sales rep. When he came to give me a estimate, I felt like I was being pressured into signing on the dotted line, although i told him I had two others coming to give me an estimate. I was told that the price only stands at that very moment, and once he walk away the deal is off. I didnt like that not one bit! On the other hand, I had a very great experience with Allied remodeling crew that actually showed up to perform the task. They showed up bright and early although they were calling for thunderstorms that day. They were very organized and kept my property clean of debris. I believe had it not started thunderstorming they would have finished the job that day, but because it had gotten so bad they had to come back the next day and finish. My roof looks amazing and I couldnt ask for a better roofing company.
Communication could use a little work as people showed up randomly. Clean up could be a little better since I found a lot of nails, but the work was great and our contacts were very responsive. Overall a great experience. Ive used them twice and will likely use again.
This company did a good job. For the price, I would say I’m satisfied - the price was good/better than two competitors that I checked with. My only two small issues are that no one called me the day before they showed up, so I was a little surprised to find a group of people standing in my yard. Also, I did collect a bag of trash and nails they left on my yard and driveway. All in all, not too bad.
I am very happy 😄😄😄 my experience with Allied Remodeling was great. The crew came on time did not leave untill the roof was finished. Very respectful to my neighbors and myself. Everything was cleaned and I would recommend them to everyone. My roof is beautiful. Thank you Allied Remodeling.
Very professional service. They did a superb and safe job and cleaned up all materials and debris. Highly recommend this company for your next roof.
Allieds price was hundreds of dollars lower than the others I priced. My roof was done on the specified date, completed fully in one day. Clean up was thorough. I would recommend them without hesitation.
The team showed up early and ready to work. They worked tirelessly. They were very respectful of my property and covered up my massive garden for protection. They covered the front porch as well. Not only did they do an exceptional job on the roof, but their cleanup of all of the debris was beyond exceptional. My mailbox was damaged during the work. They even replaced the mailbox and installed it before they left!!! What a fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and call Allied Roofing for your roofing needs. Their prices also beat out several others and I certainly don’t think that I compromised product excellence for price. Kudos to Allied!!!! 10 plus stars!
Allied took the time to get me a quality quote and answered all my questions. Quality of roofing was great and the work is guaranteed for a lifetime. They not only got me reasonably priced financing, but had it include additional repairs that were needed. Finally, went to bat for me with my insurance company. Work was done on time and the property left impeccable. THANK YOU!
My wife and I are extremely pleased with the job Allied did installing a roof on our home. The crew was courteous and thorough from the beginning to cleanup. The roof looks great and is guaranteed for life. Allied gave us a fair competitive price in comparison to other prices we obtained. Overall we are very satisfied with the job.
Crews were great! Outcomes great!! Communication could of been better.
Update (8-13-21)Received follow-up from Allied after reaching out to the BBB. Subcontractors from Allied came to address the sag on the 9th. It looks so much better now. Alex and his brother were professional and thorough in working on my roof and cleaning up my yard. Artie continued to be an honest and consistent communicator as well. Low rating is a result of the efforts required to come to a resolution.Update (7-14-21):After submitting this review (see below), Kevin Kibler reached out about my project. A credit was worked out to address the damage to my yard, my broken porch light and the electricity used. Additionally, I forget his title, but another team member (Artie Gomez) came to my home to address the structure of my roof. Allied has decided that the appearance of my roof is now out of their control and a structural issue despite it being the selling point for why I went with this company in the first place. Not only was the sag on my roof not addressed but it is now more pronounced. Mr. Gomez shared that structural work is needed to address the area and would be an entirely separate project. My frustration remains, however, since their original team member was adamant that it could be taken care of. Furthermore, if I had known this was a factor, I would have GLADLY paid for the more costly installation so it could be rectified. As a customer, I feel intentionally misled, taken advantage of and am left extremely unsatisfied with my final product. With that being said, I had pleasant experiences with Artie and also Ashley, who works in their billing department. Also, prior to the completion of my job, I did refer them to a family member who did not have the same experience as I did. So if you have any inclination that your roof may require more than just the basics for installation, I would consider working with a different company.Original Post (7-9-21):I am incredibly frustrated with this company. Monday will mark a month since my roof installation. Despite open and detailed communication and promises from their estimator, customer rep, and roofers, the Allied team did NOT respect my home. The finished product of my roof is crooked and the sag that was discussed and promised to be corrected is still present. Furthermore, the roofers only partially tarped my home and caused significant damage to my garden area even after reviewing areas to avoid in great detail. The Allied team also broke my porch light and asked my daughter to use our electricity after stating on multiple occasions that no one needed to be home to complete the job. I also came home to trash clean-up of what was left all around my property. I understand that roofing is messy but I do not agree with the damage incurred or the mess that was left. Especially because, again, this was all discussed prior to starting the job.The primary contact, Kevin Kibler, is not responsive. I sent a detailed email with pictures re: my concerns and was able to speak with him the first day after the job was done where he said hed talk to his team and get back to me to discuss credits and resolutions but I have received minimal correspondence since then. About a week ago I received a call from billing asking about payment. I explained to this contact the situation and she said shed forward my information to the owners but I have still yet to hear from anyone. I have also reached out via their chat system to request the contact information of a supervisor, manager, or owner. The chat contact, Colin, prematurely ended our chat several times before providing me with a general number to call but still no name or contact.I expected to have to be vigilant about a nail or two once the job was finished but this company has been nothing but frustrating for me thus far.
This is the most professional contractor Ive ever worked with. Outstanding with honesty, price, and work.
Excellent value and pricing. During the past year Allied has completed 3 roofing projects for me and 2 others I referred. All were completed to everyones expectations and satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.
Everyone I spoke to was professional and courteous: senior consultant, project coordinator, office manager, and roofing crew. The roofing crew was neat and efficient; they worked hard and did a nice job. We got an attractive roof for a great price!
Great company to work with! They have replaced our roof and siding. Great value. No high pressure sales, no money up front. Great quality products and installation.
Excellent experience started with sales rep Ty Martindale. He laid out exactly what they were offering as options and then put what I was interested in on a detailed contract, not on some fill in the blank sheet with no details. There wasnt any highball price with a still ridiculous Buy It Now price. The price quoted was reasonable, the discounts were in writing and still there a week later when I decided to go with Allied. I requested a slight upgrade weeks after the contract was signed and Ty was very responsive. The work was scheduled and started just one day past the estimated install date on the contract. The crew did a great job work wise and as far as communicating regarding issues or questions. The roof looks great and I have no buyers remorse. I definitely recommend Ty and Allied.
We used Allied to replace the roof and all the windows around the house in April of 2018. A little while after this was completed two of my windows started to show signs of water getting in. I called them to come back out inspect the issues and try and resolve this issues, but no one called back for at least two weeks so I called again and finally they sent someone out who said nothing was wrong but he did caulk around the top of the window just cause it was lite on the sealant. Well I replaced the drywall and watched for issues and did not see any so I repaired the area. Well a few months ago the water issues a rise again and even worse this time so I called Allied and was told someone would get back to me with in a few days and after a week I called again and was told the same response someone would reach out to me in the next day or two. So I wanted to write a review to inform people this company is good and fast but if any issues arise they are slow and none existent and that is said cause I though they were a decent company and would have recommended them to friend and family but I can’t if the don’t take care of there customers if anything happens. Stuff happens and issues arise but how you handle those issue shows what kind of company you really are.Update- they reached out to me a few hours after this posted had posted and had someone out later that day to work on my issue. The guy came and added caulk, re-caulked and made some drains holes to help move the water away from around my windows were it was leaking. I was also given his phone number so if the issue comes back I can have him come back out.
Not good at all, advertise estimate 3,999, i wined up paying over 6,000, and didnt even get a picture of the finished roof, and i had a hole maybe at the side of my roof, where there was a bird nest or something, but now i have birds in my home, i mean i know it was not their responsiblity for the hole, but i could have been advised about it, but no one said anything. so i just feel that they were not all they hyped up to be...
Once the work began, it was a great experience. The workmanship looks great and the crew was very professional. They were hard working and cleaned up thoroughly at the end . Only negative we had was the lack of communication with the project manager. Though understandable, the job did start 3 weeks after their estimate. We had to call to set up a specific start date for the job since we had heard nothing from the project manager. Again after the job, we are not sure if we should expect the project manager to come by and inspect the job and seek payment. This could just be a COVID thing and we would definitely recommend them to others.
Sales process was honest and smooth. Great price. All promises kept. Quality install done very quickly.
They did a very nice job installing the new roof and completed the job in one day. The foreman explained what they were doing and the procedure they were going to use. All the debris was cleaned up and hauled away. I was very pleased with the job they did.
This company installed a new roof for me and charged me for items they didnt need or use. Also told me there were more layers than there actually was and charged me wrongfully for that as well. They said they would bring my roof up to code and attic would be properly vented but the attic is still hotter than ever. The roof still continued to leak time after time months later and they had to come back many times to fix properly. They were very unprofessional and very disrespectful. Especially one of the owners I had the displeasure of dealing with. No apology etc for all their screw ups etc. NEVER AGAIN!! BUYER BEWARE!!My answer to your reply, whomever you may be...this review is not made up its REAL. And furthermore, I didnt even go into all the horrific details of my horrible experience with your/this company! just dont need to be putting anymore of my time into this. Just needed for your future customers to know at least some of the horrible service Allied Remodeling and its owner(s) and employees put me through! Once again I say BUYER BEWARE!!
Thank you for a job well done
The workmen were on time and worked throughout the day. The foreman, Nelson, was very professional. One issue was damage to a portion of my ceiling. It was patched up with no problem with apologies.
I had a really GREAT experience with the folks at Allied! My consultant, Dave W., was very informative and immediately put me at ease because he wasnt trying to sell me ( I HATE a hard sell), rather he informed me in a way that made me comfortable moving forward with the project. In fact, I was originally only considering the main house, however, the quote that Dave provided to include my garage as well was just too good to pass up, so I included the garage too.The communication after the sale was just as thorough, something about which that a lot of companies tend to slack off, but not Allied. I was very well informed by the Project Manager, Kevin, that drove the bus on this project, as well as Nick, one of the owners of the company...this kind of all hands on deck even the owners attitude is rare these days, and it is VERY refreshing when it happens. When the actual start date arrived, the Allied folks sent an extremely professional and highly competent installation crew that knocked out the main house in one day, which included some pretty gnarly repairs that no one could have foreseen until the old roof was removed...it was really bad under there, but the crew was more than prepared and knocked it out of the park! I really feel that had the main house not required so much repair work, the crew could have done the garage the same day as well, but seeing as how they were here from 7A to around 8:20P, I didnt expect the garage to be done until the following week. I was wrong. The guys came back the next day, which may not seem like a big deal, however, the job started on a Saturday, which means these guys came back on a Sunday (Mothers Day no less!) to complete the garage...talk about dedication to getting it done! I couldnt be more pleased with the results...Allied may not be the cheapest out there, but you have to keep in mind, its your HOME...isnt it worth it to go with a company thats gonna get it right the FIRST time?Id recommend Allied to ANYONE looking for a no headache solution to their remodeling needs, and I really look forward to having more work completed by them...theyre my new go-to for any remodeling needs. I have not been paid or otherwise compensated for this review, I just believe that if I can complain about something done wrong, I should just as easily compliment when its done RIGHT...Allied is a great company to work with, period!
UPDATE: the company reached out to find out how they could help make this situation right, which I really appreciate. My boyfriend was able to install the trim kit from the inside by cutting back some drywall and then repairing that, so they compensated him for doing that work. They have also said they learned from this experience and have put better checks in place so this wont happen in the future. For that reason Ive changed my review to 4 stars.ORIGINAL POST:Wow where do I start? Id give them 5 stars on the new roof, but 1 on replacing the skylights. First, we went with them even though they were slightly more expensive than our other quote, but they had a better warranty on labor, and you didnt have to put any money down. We were refinancing our house, so having the extra time for that to go through was nice. They are TERRIBLE at communication! Initially they were good, then I kept getting calls from other people within the company saying if I needed anything, I could call them. Okay fine, but then weeks went by and we hadnt heard from them about setting up a time to do the install (and I lost those phone numbers). Id send emails and not get a reply...until I threatened to go with our other quote, THEN I got a response. Then miraculously we were setup with a time to do the roof. Cool. They came and did the work. The workers were pleasant, and the roof turned out great. BUT they were supposed to install a trim kit for the skylight BEFORE they installed them. They also tore the drywall when the took the old ones out. You can also see in the pictures that they dont seem to fit properly. Some of the frame is inside the drywall while some is outside of it.Okay, fine, we called them to let them know they forgot the trim and that we werent happy. The first response was that they looked at the pictures from the install, and they looked fine...nothing was wrong. After some more calls, they finally said oh yeah looks like we forgot the trim. Okay, so they said they could have someone come out on Sunday, Feb. 14. So weekends are a precious commodity, but we figured theyd do it and we could get on with our day. 10:30 rolls around, and no one has showed up and no one called (we were told it wouldnt be before 9am). I called the company and asked that I be called to let us know approximately when someone would be there so we wouldnt waste our whole day at home. No one ever showed up and no one ever called. :( We WASTED OUR ENTIRE DAY of plans. I called on Monday and with excuses like COVID and weather, they rescheduled us for Tuesday morning. No, I dont want people to travel if the weather is bad, but I DO expect to be notified. So the installer shows up at 9am right on time on Tuesday. Cool. He proceeds to tell me that he has to fix it from outside...basically pull up the shingles around the skylight, take the skylight out and then install the trim. SO WHAT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE? I immediately called my partner, and we agreed that doing that was asking for long term leak issues. We have this nice beautiful new roof and skylights and didnt want the integrity ruined. So we had them leave the trim, and well fix it from the inside ourselves. Luckily my boyfriend is handy. So short answer, if you just have a simple roof and no issues after, they are probably fine. If you have a skylight, stay away!!! Im still pretty sure they arent the right size too.
They came bright and early. Thay were finished in one day as promised. When they left it looked like they were never here.👍
I sure wished I read some of these reviews before signing a contract. I’ve almost experienced every negative review. No supervision for the crew, none of the crew spoke english which is not their fault, crew worked late but didn’t finish and was suppose to return the following day. No show! No call! And after a few calls to a call service because apparently there’s no office site for customer service. Still no call. I have nails and trash all around my home. Neighbors are asking me to clean up the nails at least. I can’t blame them at all. But wait! I just paid a considerable amount of money to a company to take care of this. So I thought. I actually considered having this company remodel my bathroom and replace windows. Absolutely not! I don’t recommend service from this company. Hopefully this helps someone from making the same mistake I made.
Allied remodeling was one several companies that we obtained estimates for a new roof. We are so glad that we chose Allied! They did a fantastic job. They customer service is outstanding! We cannot say enough good things about them. Great Company!!!
Had a couple miscommunications via email and didn’t get an owner as a project manager nor did I get their cell phone number as mentioned in the sales pitch. That said, once the email mishaps were resolved the service itself was great. Crew showed up between 7 and 8am as promised and they were very considerate with my home! They moved all decor and covered both sides of the home with a tarp, cleaning as they went. They put everything back where it was and did a very thorough cleaning job. They showed me photos of my roof before, during and after and even mentioned if I found any additional debris to give them a call to come clean further.Got my invoice within a couple hours and it was the same amount as my quote. Referred to my neighbor and their install is next week!
My roof and soffit was replaced and the first day the roof team was @ my house 6:15 am started and finished the roof that day. On the second day the soffit team was @ my house 6:30 am started and finished. The workers are exceptional and I would highly recommend Allied Remodeling. Great Job !!
I have nothing but a good experience with Allied Remodeling, they were professional, on time, and informative as they went along. I do recommend this company for your needs!
From the first phone call to the free estimate to the installation of my new roof I received nothing short of A+ customer service. Dave Wallet and Kevin Kibler were nothing short of amazing. Very professional. They both quickly responded to any email, call or text. Highly recommend Allied Remodeling for your roofing needs!
Bought a house with a roof that was replaced by Allied back in 2015. The roof now leaks and they wont honor the warranty. The guy I spoke to over phone was quick to dismiss the case and hung up.
Very professional company to work with. They offered a fair price and finance options. They arrived on time and finished quickly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of roof repair or replacement.
New windows, the seller Alvaro Granda is an amazing seller, honest, careful, respectful....windows are wonderful and service is pretty good !!!
Will get windows instaled soon.
They were very pleasant and professional to deal with.
The roof installation was professionally and expertly completed. My wife and I are completely satisfied with the work. So satisfied are we that we are now seeking a plan and quote to install a rear yard deck to be installed within a year. I would recommend this contractor to anyone seeking roof replacement.
Very affordable company that offers a great warranty. They did excellent work on my new roof installation. Clean up is great and very quick. I recommend this company.
They did a very nice job replacing my roof, as well as a good job cleaning up. Thanks!
The folks at Allied were super - from the sales rep who helped us, to the communication, and then the actual new roof. The workers were efficient, and amazingly finished in less that a full day. They were courteous and did a great job cleaning up. You couldnt even tell they had been there except for our beautiful new roof. We had shopped around, and found Allied to be the best contractors, best materials, and the best prices!
I was happy to confirm the successful completion of our roofing project. From the initial meeting with sales person, to the scheduling and follow up with project manager, along with the install crew, the whole experience with Allied was exceptional. Everything that was promised including the clean-up was followed and questions I had about the labor warranty were answered. We are the original owners of this home and as it always seems, theres always some kind of maintenance to address. Its a comfort to know that the roof is one thing thats warranted for life. I would not hesitate to recommend Allied to anyone, and would like to give credit to the owners for the choices they have made with the people they have employed.
They replaced two roofs in less than a day, including 12 sheets of damaged plywood for under $8k. Best after roofing cleanup I have ever seen, too. We have a very narrow lot - they were just as thorough cleaning up the small amount that fell in our neighbors yards. We are already compliments on how much better our roofs look.
Two days ago, I had my 30+yr old roof replaced. The workers did an awesome job, even when it started raining, they continued to work until dark and return the following day to complete the job. Once the job was completed, the area was cleaned up, like they had never been there. I highly recommend this company for roofing work.
During the planning of the job, Kevin was patient and offered good suggestions for color and trim. When we were deciding on the color of the siding he had the manufacturer send us samples to help us decide on the final color. We are very pleased with the workmanship of the job. Allied Remodelings crew were organized, worked long hours, cleaned up daily, and their attention to detail was outstanding. When the job was finished and I walked around the house with the team leader, I did not find any problems with the work. We highly recommend Allied Remodeling.
Did just as they advertised and I recommend them my yard was clean when they left.
The crew leader, Kevin, made every effort to stay in touch with me while the crew replaced my roof. I made it home before the crew finished their work. From what I observed, they were all very professional. They took great care to protect my property. They worked efficiently. I would highly recommend Allied Remodeling for your roofing needs.
If I had a choice to give them no stars I would do just that. But my experience with this company has been a total nightmare. First they were suppose to build a porch for me but I had to change the project because I had gotten a dog and I needed a fence. They were going to charge me about $10,000 for the porch once I asked them could I get a fence built instead they still charged me $10,000. Me being so excited about the fence I went along with it. The project started around July of last year. I needed to cancel the project shortly after because a family member had passed away and the money that I had saved up went towards the home going services. Nick Caperna one of the owners had gotten his sales person to repeatedly call me so I could restart the project and they stated they would work with me. I decided to let them do the job and I would do the payment plan as they stated. They made me put a deposit down first and the site clearly states that no money is put down until the job is finished. Once the privacy fence started being built I noticed that it was being done backwards. I called Nick about and he immediately got upset and said If you dont like it then you should have taken off work to watch us do it I immediately got upset. Im a paying customer and I was a first time homeowner so having this add on was big for me. After I told him I was going to give him a bad review he softened his tone and started being nice. The materials that were used were extremely cheap. My white fence that they built can be picked up out of the ground and it wobbles. My 6ft fence wobbles as well and it has fallen apart numerous times. The wood on the privacy fence has expanded and I cant close the doors. They didnt even stain the fence. The handle fell off and one of the doors fell off on the privacy fence. And on the white fence it can be lifted out of the ground with one hand. I have repeatedly sent pictures they come out to fix it half way then start demanding money. This fence is no where near worth over $10,000. Back in November I placed a review on this page about my experience with this company and Nick called me threatening to take me to court because I put his name in the review little does he know I major in law and the judge would laugh in his face over something like that. If you have a business you have to be prepared for people to give reviews and state the truth. He asked me to take it down and I did because he said he would make everything right. Lies all lies!!!! About three weeks ago the foreman Mike came to the house to look over the fence so I could show him all of the problems with the fence. He clearly stated that the guy didnt put enough cement but he was the guy that built the fence. Mike pointed out all the things wrong with the fence and blamed it on someone else when he clearly was the guy that build the fence in the first place. A week later Nick came back to my house with Mike to make any additional repairs. Nick stood in my front yard and said his business partners didnt care about me being satisfied with the work I just need to pay them. Nick has down talked me and belittled me on more then one occasion and I have given him the benefit of the doubt but at this point I am tired of him and the company. I sent him an email stating just that. Yesterday while i was tending to a family emergency he came to my property and harassed my house guest. I called him to find out what was going on and he acted like he didnt know what was going on. Then he stated it was his lawyer outside of my home taking pictures of the fence which didnt make any since. He started cursing at me and talking over me stating that i was stupid and what i was saying was stupid. I advised that the call was being recorded and he changed his tone a little then hung up. Once i got home i checked my security cameras and it was Nick. Now Im stuck with a terrible looking fence. I could have gotten the people that stand outside of Home Depot to do this job for way less and a better outcome as far as customer service and quality work.
Howard, Erik and Joe replaced my 1000 Sq Ft deck with Trex and did a fantastic job!!!They were great to work with and went above and beyond what was expected.Allied not only had the best price but their workmanship was over the roof.My first call on my next project will be Allied
Work was done quickly though they were a bit messy with the tear off. Would have prefered they routed the shingles to the trash been rather than throwing them on tarps around the house. They did an ok job of cleaning up but I still found nails and old shingle pieces enough to fill a 1 gallon trash can.
I had THE WORST experience ever!! I received 3 quotes from roofing companies and Allied Remodeling actually had the highest quote but I choose to go with them because Carroll assured me the roof would be completed in a timely manner, its family owned and it would be a smooth process. OBVIOUSLY this was a lie! not only did I have to repeatedly call to initiate my contract but the installation took place almost 4 weeks out from the agreed upon 2 weeks( no call or email to explain the delay someone just randomly showed up one day and started working on the roof, although it was said a project manager will update me along the way.)...the installation took 12 hours and an additional day( I live in a moderate size town home) while installing the roof it rained at the 6 hour mark so it took longer (which is completely understandable) the crew working did a good job cleaning up once the job was finished. When it came to financing the roof I applied for a credit card for which Allied roofing applied for me to receive. I received two VM from a woman in the office for payment of collection however, each time I was at work( I am nurse so 12-14hour days.) the following week I receive a call from a gentleman I answer and apologize for the delay and ask for him to charge the card, the gentlemen then say no worries Carroll will contact you to collect the payment I did not receive a call/text/ VM or email from Carroll so I assumed he was busy as he has taken this long in the past to get back to me. BUT NO the president sends me an email stating they would take me to court to collect funds and at this point I am solidified I MOST DEFINITELY MADE THE WRONG CHOICE. I paid for the roof out of pocket (because at this point I want absolutely nothing to do with this company not even the debt of of financing the roof) without using the credit card they applied for. In addition I told two of my friends to cancel there consultations. BUT IT GETS WORSE I receive a call 30 min after making a full payment, to call them back so they can have my card number to make a payment. ALL IN ALL choose anyone but them!! trust it is not worth the headache. Going forward I hope the communication within this company improves.
Siding and windows replacement also done. Quality and reasonable price of work is great!
I was referred to Allied Remodeling by a relative. Im delighted that I did call them to replace my roof. The whole experience was easy and no pressure in the deal. These guys worked hard even in the rain, which I felt coffee and donuts were deserving of them. Thanks, Allied you are the best.
Very pleased with the quality of work done and care taken to protect the landscaping around the house. Also, the clean up was very thorough!
The roofers showed up at the appointed time & immediately went to work. They were quite competent & finished the job qickly & professionally. They cleaned up after the job and you couldnt tell they had been here except for the new roof. I would recommend Allied Remodeling to everyone
Work crew were very efficient and professional. The quality of work was very good. We were very pleased with the job overall.
Review of Roof Project 4/2/20-4/3/20It was wonderful having Allied Remodeling as the contractor for my new roof. This was the most professional experience I have ever had with a home improvement company. Who explains everything in advance down to the details about what’s to be expected? Who shows up on time when they say they will be there? Who send you updates of the ongoing work with pictures? Who completes a job with no hidden upcharges? Who send an army of experienced workmen to do the job in just 2 days? Who cleans up fastidiously after the job is complete? Allied Remodeling does. This company was exceptional in every way and I would highly recommend them to anybody!-From somebody who has never had the occasion to write such a review for a home improvement project!
The crew showed up on time and completed our entire roof in the time they said they would, one day. I was very impressed with the attention to detail in cleaning up all the debris. You could not tell they’d been here; they even got on a ladder with a blower to ensure there were no debris left over our windows. The invoice was what we expected and we’re very pleased with the end results. Will definitely recommend this company to our neighbors. Very, very satisfied with the company from start to finish.
The job performed on my roof was great. Im very satisfied with the work that was done by the crew. They were very professional, and also did a great job cleaning up afterwards.Thank youRobert Matthews
The work seems good so far, BUT they have a referral program that they do not seem to honor. They are very difficult to reach by phone after the sale and install.Update: 2/28/20Was contacted by Paul from Allied who explained his position and promised to correct the issue. I understand that things happen and appreciate his responsiveness and promise to make sure the issues are resolvedUpdate 3/6/2020I am happy to announce that Allied has stood by their promises. I personally believe that a business should not just be judged by the mistakes they make, but more so on how they respond and fix the mistake once its found. Thanks Allied. I now feel very comfortable with recommending you to friends and family. Good Job.
I could not have asked for a better experience. the entire process was straightforward with no hidden tricks or game playing. i would do it again, and i would definitely recommend Allied.
The work was preformed as scheduled in a professional manner without any hitches. Looks great! Very satisfied.
The crew showed up and started working right away they installed protection around my bushes,my deck and lawn. The foreman told me that the materials for the roof were delayed but not to worry he would get the project done today. Once those materials arrived it was all hands on deck the crew work systematically and was very productive they finished up with about 15 minutes of daylight left including sweeping my driveway Im running a magnet over the yard for any loose nails.
I appreciated the experience with Allied Remodeling. The workers were on time and ready to work. They did a thorough job of replacing my very old and worn roof. Took pictures to show the extensive plywood repair needed before doing the shingle work. The roof required a bit of additional work and associated cost --but still reasonable and the best price out of 4 estimates I obtained before hiring them for the job. And, importantly, I am very pleased with the end result --the new roof really added curb appeal to the home. I highly recommend Allied Remodeling for your roofing work!
Dealing with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. Since we are limited on space, here are the main complaints:- Took 2 months for work to start without any returned called re: start date- Workers showed up unannounced and unsupervised- Rows of shingles were unlevel in areas- Ran out of cap shingles and used regular shingles instead- Sewer vent pipe was broken off, roofed over and vented into attic space- Broken and rotten roof decking boards were not replaced on initial install- Old tar paper was not removed and replaced with new continuous underlayment- Company did not return phone calls or emails to respond to concerns- Took over a month for quick, unsupervised patchwork repairs to be made- No further contact from company when I told them I had issues with the repairsThe jobs are not supervised as advertised. When you contact the company with an issue, no one replies to you or attempts to get in contact with you. They expect you to accept inferior work as the new professionally-installed roof you signed a contract for and be happy to pay the full contract price. Owners are not willing to visit the site, walk through and address issues, and then resolve the issues. I was never given a phone number for an owner as promised. They make quality and customer service claims that they cannot or will not back up. Even formal complaints via BBB and MHIC do not motivate them to do so much as make a phone call to the customer. They simply run the clock out and hit you with a lawsuit for the full payment. I would be interested in anyone from the company refuting my claims, as no one has come out to my home to inspect the quality of the repairs that I take issue with. It has been a nightmare dealing with them, and I don’t want anyone else to get stuck with the headache I have. We are now going to court over this with expert witnesses to attest to the poor workmanship and hopefully get this issue resolved. This is the first unethical company that I have ever had to deal with. This is business and customer service at its absolute worst. I do not revel in writing bad reviews, this is actually the first time. But I think buyers need to beware with Allied, and wish someone had warned me when looking for a roofer.
Allied Remodeling replaced the roof, skylights, and gutters of my house. After the initial work was done we had some issues with the look of the skylights and a portion of the roof. We had a discussion with the managers and the owner of the company. After that they took into consideration our requests and at a second visit did the work to our complete satisfaction. Ernesto is a very good manager at the company. I recommend Allied Remodeling to everyone who is looking for replacement of the roof, skylights, or gutters.
The crew did a good job replacing my roof and the clean up was very good. The roof did leak a little around the chimney but after calling them they did come out and fixed the leak and I have not had any problem since.
Allied Roofers came to replace my roof. From what I can tell, since I can’t see the roof, they did a great job. The workers were very efficient. They also made sure my property was completely cleaned up. I will definitely refer Allied Roofing.
Very satisfied. The salesman, Alvaro, was very professional, gave me a short and clear presentation and never felt pressured. The job was well done and on time. The fact that you only pay after is completedIs a great approach.
I was a little uneasy about using this company but the representative did an awesome presentation and put my mind at ease. The work was quick and efficient. My roof is blue and pretty. Thank you Allied. I would highly recommend this company.
Very neat and clean job. Better than expected outcome. Very competitive pricing. The intallers had a lot of attention to detail with our siding project.
Great crew. Replaced our roof. Cleaned up everything. We will be having other work with Allied on our home.
Allied completed another project for us and they continue to provide fair pricing, superior products and exemplary service. They are very responsive to questions and provide you with updated information on the project. We will continue call on Allied for our remodeling projects knowing they are a company that we can trust. They back-up their work with warranties that go beyond industry standards and requirement. Thank you Allied!
Great experience with Allied Remodeling from sales to windows installation to follow up. Will definitely hire Allied Remodeling on my next home improvement project.
Everyone arrived on time. The materials had to left in the driveway because powerlines prevented the truck from placing tge material on the roof. The next day roofers had to manually carry all materials up to the roof. The work was completed on time. Workers were professional. All debris cleaned up at the end of the day. The work was just completed and I am pleased with the job.
Allied Remodeling did a fantastic job on our roof ! The whole experience from initial visit to cost estimate to final contract to delivery of materials to installation was very professional & timely. All projected schedules were met and quality of the work was excellent. I had solicited 4 other cost estimates in addition to Allied Remodeling. Allieds cost proposal was only $150 more than our lowest estimate. That was a small amount to pay to get the experience & additional warranty on labor that we got from Allied. I highly recommend Allied Remodeling to anyone considering a new roof.
The roofers were on time, pleasant and skilled. So far I am pleased with the roof they installed, but I have to wait for my Homeowners Insurance to approve the job, since they required that it be done. The salesman, Ty, was very clear in his presentation and convinced me of the companys integrity. The coordinator, Kevin, was also a pleasure to work with.
