Having used Metro Bath & Tile once before and being very pleased with their work, I wanted to do business with them again. This time, I needed to have a shower installed that was handicapped accessible, and they are certified for that type of work. They understood my needs and made it happen. From the beginning of the project to the end, the process went smoothly – from the patient and helpful assistance of Wendy in the Towsend showroom to the very skilled and specialized professional installer who crafted two beautiful bathrooms, it all exceeded my expectations. Paul is the expert who specializes in handicapped accessible installations. He did all the work for both bathrooms and was the most professional, thorough, considerate and polite person I have ever done business with.I also want to mention how much I liked that Metro Bath & Tile only started the project when they had all the materials necessary to complete it. Once the work was started, it didn’t stop until it was finished. At the end of each day, the installer review what was completed that day and informed me of the work to be done the next day.If I could give Metro Bath & Tile more than a 5-Star rating, I would. Being able to have my husband sit in a shower chair and roll into the shower now is a life changer for us because that eliminates the possibility of him falling in the shower again. As before, I am extremely happy with the remodel of my two bathrooms and highly recommend them to family and friends. Their excellent quality of work remains consistent and is unsurpassed. I love my two new bathrooms!
I talked to Alex, twice. Ive been house shopping for a home and have seen one I like that needs a complete master bathroom tear-out and remodel. The last time I did anything like that was 2014 and it cost $40,000. Since we have rampant inflation, I thought I should ask about it. The first time Alex shut me down telling me they dont do an estimate on a house until one owns it. That seemed reasonable. After I thought about it, I called back to ask Alex if we could just take a moment to discuss a remodel so that I might get a bit more info on their company for the future. Alexs response was to emphasize again to me that they dont do estimates on a house you dont own. I told her that she had already done that and that I was trying to get past that to gather a bit more info about their company for the future. She called me RUDE, three times. You are rude, was her response over and over again. I told her that when she triggered so fast with a customer into calling the customer names that was all I needed to know about the company and would not be calling back. This company is one that requires their customer to be subservient and the least amount of initiative is squelched immediately with name calling. I accomplished my objective, to gather more info about the company and determine that I am not a good fit because I am not subservient and I do take initiative. The reader can make up their own mind.
I had my master bathroom completely remodeled. Sam and Zack, the workers from Metro Bath & Tile, were very diligent, courteous, and professional. They asked me questions as the work went along to refine my requirements and meet my needs. The work ethic by Sam and Zack was outstanding. They did a fantastic job with which I am very pleased.
About a month ago we had our old bathtub/shower in our master bath replaced with a new walk-in, glass door shower by Metropolitan Bath and Tile. It was a wonderful experience and we love our new shower! They made the process of choosing fixtures and tile easy. Everyone we dealt with was professional and helpful. Our installation professional, Will, explained the process in detail throughout. He was on time, and always left the work area spotless each day. We would highly recommend Metropolitan for a bathroom remodel or update.
We are very pleased with the remodeling of the two bathrooms in our condo. From the initial appointment, to their help in the design process with Alex and Wendy, to the final follow-up visit all went smoothly. At first hesitant to have work done during the corona virus, at no time were we uncomfortable during the process. Rob and James did a masterful job with the installation conferring with us at each stage and getting our approval before moving forward. Jeff was outstanding doing the finishing work, coming up with a perfect solution to a problem that was encountered. We are so very pleased with our new bathrooms and recommend Metropolitan Bath and Tile to anyone who wants a professional remodel.Jim and Marge C.
Completed a very large bathroom remodel with removing a built-in tub with steps and moving a shower from one room to the other (now a large shower with no door), tiling, vanity and electrical. Every person at Metro was excellent and friendly. They were also responsive. Every construction job encounters blips and they have been wonderful getting the last 5% to our satisfaction. Pricing - they do not negotiate. Timeliness - on time or early. Expertise - in almost all areas excellent. Cleanliness - perfect. Trustworthy (leaving them in the home to work alone) - no issues or concerns at all. We did have a few issues with the natural stone shower we put in and if I had to do it again, I wouldnt. Note, they do not paint but do get the walls paint ready. Would I recommend them to others - yes. Would I use them again - absolutely.
We visited the Towson location to select the tile and obtain an estimate for installation of a kitchen back-splash. We were very pleased with the variety of choices and very helpful guidance that ended in a result that is perfect for us.The installation took two days and I give high praise to the installer. He was meticulous about the installation details and kept the work area very clean. We couldnt be happier with the process and final result. Everyone who has seen it loves it, as do we.
We contacted Metropolitan Bath and Tile to help us with a shower stall problem. It was leaking into the kitchen ceiling, and after many inspections, the conclusion was that the shower tiles were loose and leaking. It was not a huge job, but it required experienced workers. I found them at Metropolitan in the Towson office. Wendy helped us to schedule an estimate and assisted us in the showroom. Bobby gave us very carefully measured and fair estimate. He patiently answered all the questions and helped us with different issues. The initial crew, Jeff and Billy, were very punctual, and were hard and detailed workers. Jeff prepared the job site very efficiently. Everything was covered and cleaned. David Collier, production manager, helped us to manage the entire process successfully and finish on schedule. Everyone was very respectful, professional and experienced. Im very grateful and very happy with the finished product. My shower stall looks beautiful and the leaking problem appears to be solved. I will use Metropolitan Bath and Tiles again and have already recommended them to my neighbor.
They had one guy do our bathroom. There were days he was only there for a few hours. It took him entirely too long and I had to continually stay on them about quality issues. You would think that since this is all they do they might be a little more proficient and take a little more pride in their work. Bathroom for the most part is fine.
Yes I cut out a coupon out of the clipper magazine for $600.00 off a bathroom remodel so I called and schedule an appointment . Larry came out to look at my hallway bathroom which is small compared to a master bath. While he was taking the measurements I said to him can you give me a ball park estimate on what it may cost, He said we go by some magazine and he named it, but anyway he said around $18,000.00 to 20,000.00 thousand dollars, even if I lived in a mansion I would never spend that kind of money on a Hall way bathroom and he wasnt talking about diamond laced tile either. And than to top it off he said this dose not include Painting That was the big turn off when he said by the way we dont paint either . Why in the world would I pay 20 thousand dollars to have a bathroom remodeled with out Paint. I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! I give them NO STARS!!!!!!
Never hired them because the process of getting an estimate was a godawful hassle, the estimator was irritable and condescending, and their quote came in more than 5 times higher than the lowest competitor ($32k vs $6k).The irony of it all; here are some quotes from the promotional materials we got in their showroom:“From our initial contact to the finishing touches, our design consultant and project managers will respectfully listen to you, providing sound advice, seasoned guidance, and professional courtesy.”“We guarantee that our prices will be equal or less than any other qualified contractor’s price on the same project”Not only will we not be using MBT in the future, but based on this experience MBT can be sure that we will not let our friends and colleagues go through the same experience.
We contacted Metropolitan Bath and Tile (MB&T) for a Master Bathroom remodel. Throughout the entire process, we felt that the company was attentive and professional. We had visited the showroom in Towson first, to get an idea of the workmanship. Our estimate appointment was done at our convenience on a Saturday by Dave and our proposal appointment with Wendy and Alex was done during a weekday, so that we would be relatively uninterrupted while discussing the options.Just like every homeowner, we had a budget, and we feel that Wendy and Alex kept that in mind during our discussions. There was never any complaining when we asked about leaving something out, or asking what the price difference would be between two or three possible options. We eventually made all of our choices and signed the paperwork. It was almost a complete gut and remodel, as we were eliminating a corner tub; expanding the shower; and having new tile for both the shower and the floor. Two weeks later, we ended up visiting again to discuss options for replacing the vanity countertop, which we agreed to. It was pointed out that, due to the late addition, that the countertop might not arrive in time for our job, which was understandable. We did have some time restrictions for when the company could start the work, but the company worked with us on that. The initial crew, Tom and Cole, showed up on time; prepared the jobsite; and went straight to work. This process continued for the entire week. We felt that Tom and Cole treated our house as if it was their own; the quality of the work is amazing. This continued for the other members of the crew, Kevin and Charlie. To our great delight, the countertop arrived in time (thanks to Wendy putting a rush on the order) and the entire bathroom was finished a day earlier than the initial time estimate. We could not be happier with the result. We expect to enjoy our new bathroom for many years to come. We would not hesitate to either recommend or use Metro Bath and Tile for any other remodel job in the future.
Horrible customer service!
