I went and got an oil change from Munroe and the same day my check engine light came on. I though maybe the computer was not reset and waited since the place was closed. Quickly my engine overheated and I discovered a leak in my coolant. I took it back knowing something was done by the mechanic I was told the water pump was cracked but it couldnt have been their fault. They tried to charge me almost 1200.00. I knew this was severely overpriced and I called another mechanic company, it costed less than 300.00 for a replacement. Munroe on Joppa Road in Towson are Scam artist! I then once again to customer service with the reasonable request to have the cost of replacing my coolant tank refunded to me, which was 900 dollars less than Munroe tried to charge me after cracking the tank. As many of us are aware a mechanic will cause a problem with your vehicle so you can return and pay out more money, I hope this was not the case but given the response I received from Munroe customer service it seems that this actually was what happened. The company wanted me to still come in and have me pay to fix the problem. I have of course already done this with a better company. I was also refused the step of speaking with the supervisor, citing that they are understaffed. It appears that the entire company are full of scam artists who generally do not care because the customers problems honestly do not affect them as individuals.

My vehicle has been care for and I feel pleased over the last six months. My car was taken in for several days and the mechanics were sensitive and respectful to me. There is nothing like being respected as my card is older and I have been fortunate to receive good auto care here. Thank You Keon.

Was driving by after picking up some food, guys at Monro noticed my back right tire was flat and brought it to my attention. While I was driving into the lot they were already searching for the correct replacement. Amazing service, even better people. Great job guys!!

Take your car and money elsewhere. Took my vehicle in to get my tires inspected/fixed. The mechanic told me that they could not fix my tires since the issue was with the rim and that I needed to go somewhere else. The mechanic took me in the back and showed me that there was still a leak despite him fixing it. I was then charged about $100 for an incomplete job. I had to take my car elsewhere and spend more money for the rims to be fixed. I was 100% taken advantage of since I do not know cars/tires. I was also quoted different prices than what is in there system. I went back to question the pricing and state that I had to go elsewhere to get my rims fixed. The same mechanic was not polite and gave terrible customer service. Would give them half a star if I could.

Everything was fine until I noticed that 4 of 5 total 2 dollar bills were missing out of the sunglasses thing in my car. I forgot they were in there until I went to look for the wheel lock. The fact that the gentleman only took 4 of 5 shows that he made the conscious decision to steal them and conceal the fact that he stole them so I wouldnt notice. I have been coming here faithfully for YEARS. But this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

I stopped by this Monroe location recently to get an oil change done on my truck and the service was very timely and professional. Especially the young man who greeted me and the front desk when I arrived, named Ryan. Did not perform the service that I had requested and charged me for service that I did not request.I requested that they replace a blown brake line. Instead of replacing the line, they replaced part of it and spliced the two together. They did not fill the brake fluid reservoir completely and spilled brake fluid all over my engine compartment.Then they billed me for a brake system flush that I did not want or need.Avoid this place like the plague.

First let me say, I would give Rich the manager and the staff 10 stars but I’m only allowed 5. Rich and his staff were phenomenal! I had a lot of issues with my car but not a big budget to fix everything at the time. They worked with me to figure out which repairs was most important so I could get back on the road safely and quickly. Next, they showed me which repairs I could come back to get fixed and the prices, sort of like a checklist. I was very grateful that they throughly explained the repairs in detail so I could understand the importance of getting them done so my car would perform at its peak. As long as Rich and the staff is there, they have a lifetime customer with me ! Two Thumbs Up!!

Changing my review for this place. Originally it was 5 stars to get $15 off my oil change....I went here yesterday because it was close to where I work and I needed an oil change, and the sign out front says oil change is $18.99. Of course when Im inside they tell me oh an oil change is $60 but if you give us a 5 star review on Google you get $15 off. Whatever, I buck up and pay because Im about to go out of town and want to have my oil changed before I drive all weekend in different states, and I dont want to waste any more time going to another place to get my oil changed while Im on my break. Seemingly everything is fine and my oil is changed within an hour. I get home that night, and go back out to my car to get dinner and see huh...the overhead light in my car is turned to on. I didnt notice it earlier because the sun was still up. I drive a Soul so the ceilings are pretty tall and the overhead light is in the back seat...aka there is no reason it should have been turned on, definitely didnt get bumped on, except for if they were purposefully trying to drain my battery. I just got an oil change so why would they be in my back seat or rubbing against the ceiling? Right. I switched it off and turn my car on (its dark now) and guess what? my right headlight is out as well. How convenient. I go in to get my oil changed and leave with them trying to drain my battery and with a headlight out. Maybe they thought because Im a woman I wouldnt realize or know how to fix it and come back and spend more money there. Welp, I definitely know how to change a headlight and will definitely not come back to this place after being taken advantage of. Plenty of other places on Joppa, stay away from this spot!

I’ve taken all of my personal and company vehicles to them for 6 years for oil changes and tires. Great staff and management and will treat you fairly. Despite the fact I live minutes away, sometimes I stay in their waiting room because the service is that quick! I’ve been to others and I feel like they are constantly up selling. These guys only tell you what needs to be done if you truly need it!

What can i about this place. They are awesome. The front desk clerk (maybe a mechanic too) Kevin was very polite and patient. He tried to answer all questions if he could. Only reason i gave four stars instead of five is because there is always room for improvement. They can sometimes take a little long.

I was definitely ripped off. I called another Monro location after my father said I was ripped off and got a quote for $40 cheaper. I even told the other location what I paid and read out the item number etc, they couldn’t come up with the amount I was charged. I was also apparently given a “discount”. The other shop sent me an invoice and I will be calling customer service to deal with this issue. I gave 2 stars cause the technician was very nice and helpful.

The manager, Rich, is trustworthy, honest, & straight forward...not the traits you often find in a mechanic. He knows what he is doing...he will tell you exactly what needs to be done...he wont try to sell you things you dont need or charge you like crazy...you can be assured that when they fix the problem it has been fixed right and at the best price you will be able to find anywhere else in town. Toyota service center recommended brake pad replacement on my car stating it was 3mm or less. I thought I will let Monro professional to give a second thought, so I went for free brake inspection today. The technician in Monro were very friendly and honest, they inspected the brake and showed me that the brake pad was more than 5mm left and I was not required to replace it. I would recommend Monro at this location to all my friends and relatives

Had a synthetic oil change, and they pointed out that my tires were out of balance. Received a discount for getting it done with the oil change. Its easy to make appointment over the phone and staff is courteous and efficient. Their prices are on par with the competitors but they often have promotions or discounts which I highly recommend taking advantage of.

These guys give great service at a reasonable price and gave me some honest advice as well as for what to prepare for in the future. Thanks so much!

Came twice in 1 week horrible service.Day one, they were short staffed and couldnt service me, didnt even call to say they couldnt take me.Day 2, supposedly they had 2 bays down, was told it would take 30 mins to get me in, although I had an appointment. Waited an hour and still nothing. Manager couldnt even give me a realistic timeline.Also witnessed poor customer service and communication skills. Manager told the man when he dropped his car off at 12 that it would be ready at 3, 3 oclock rolls around, customer pulls up and they JUST put the car on the lift to start working. Manager barely acknowledged the customers issues as the customer asked for proper managementHorribHo experience!

I was informed of all necessary repairs to make my vehicle safe to drive. There were no sales tactics or any attempts to get me to make unnecessary repairs. After having a bad experience with another nearby auto repair location I was pleasantly surprised that Monro was open and available to help me early this morning. I explained my concerns to Pete and Scott and they took great care of me. They understood the problem right away after doing a test drivedriv ordered the part that I needed. They were able to have my car fixed the same day. The only wait time I experienced was waiting for the part to be delivered. I would absolutely recommend this place for your car service needs and I will be back.

GREAT WORK, HONEST, GENEROUSAs a middle-aged woman who knows squat about cars, Im always ready to be fleeced when I walk into an auto repair shop. When I found myself in Towson with a three-hour drive ahead of me and a nearly flat (brand new) tire, I was at the mercy of Munro Auto Services--they could have charged me a zillion dollars and I would have had to pay because I needed to get home to NYC (alive). Pete the store manager greeted me with a little friendly ribbing about Brooklyn, put my car up on the thingamajobber, and showed me everything he was doing. He found not one but two of the valves on my new tires needed replacing. He replaced them and balanced them. (I sound like I know what Im talking about but I dont.) By the time he was done I sensed he was a decent guy and that he knew his stuff, but I was still bracing myself for the bill. But he just handed me my keys and said, No charge. No charge?!? That wouldnt have happened in Brooklyn! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
