My engine went up in my 3 year old car. At no charge, they told me what was wrong and how to look into the company helping to get it repaired. Wonderful honest guys. I get oil changed here as well. My Mom just had a tire plugged. great prices!!!!

This is THE place to get work done in your car. They are straightforward and have always been honest with the work they do on your vehicle. They always give you a rundown before doing any work to your car before they begin. They give their professional opinion while remaining fair and respectful. Firsts off I seen good reviews so i decided to give it a try Bad idea as soon as i got to the desk on 5/21/21 The Gray head guy with glasses came off as rude and he really did not want to check my car out, might have been offended cause i asked could i bring my own parts. He said No i said cool so i’m like how much would it be for these parts i know i need in my car. His customer service was TERRIBLE on the scale of 1-10 i give that guy a -0 i wouldn’t recommend this place if u are New. He just really seem like he ain’t feel like it or He ain’t want to do it. I never go back there or recommend to friends.

Excellent customer service! I had gone elsewhere to get my rims fixed and the problem wasnt fixed so I came here. Took my car in without an appointment and my car was taken back within 10 minutes and I was out of the shop in under an hour. I live in PA and was picking my son up from school. My tire sensor came on so I went to a local gas station to get some air, figuring it came on due to the cold weather. I found that I had a screw in my tire and could hear the air escaping. I called a few garages and no one could fix it until tomorrow. I pulled into this garage at 4pm on a Friday, as a last resort. I am so glad that I did! They took my car right in and had it patched in 20 minutes. They could not have been more friendly or professional! I completely understand why they have been in business for 80 years!

Hollenshades is excellent ! Very honest establishment ! My vehicle had symptoms of a low battery. I went into one of the local area auto parts stores, and one of the associates used a meter to test my battery. I didnt feel he was knowledgeable about what he was doing. He said I had a bad alternator. Seeing the way he used that meter, I was not confident. I then remembered Hollenshades, during a Turkey Bowl advertisement. I called them, and they asked if I could get the vehicle up there. I said it was difficult start, but yes, I can. One of their mechanics applied a meter to my battery, as well as reading the error code, and verified it was just a low battery, and the alternator was just fine. He then explained that low voltage on a newer vehicle could very well demonstrate symptoms of a bad alternator (malfunctioning electrical components). I explained to the gentleman at the desk that Im currently on the road, and that I have to save whatever money I can, so Im going to have to do this repair myself, since its just a battery. In our current Covid climate, he fully understood. For a more complicated repair, Would I go back to Hollenshades ? ABSOLUTELY !!! Their honesty not only turned me into a future customer, but the people Im currently around, from being on the road, have all been informed of Hollenshades honesty. Approximately 30 people. Hollenshades provides the most honest car repair service Ive ever seen. I took my car in for new tires, an oil change and to have my rear control arms replaced. Their team kept me informed during the entire process. When was service was completed, I asked about a few other parts that I was questioning due to the cars mileage. While I was there, I heard a mechanic inform an older man that he didnt need an oil change (he thought he needed one) and to bring it back in 3-6 months knowing that the man didnt drive often. I have a high mileage car and was having a difficult time diagnosing a bumping noise in the front end of my car. After replacing what I thought was the problem myself, I turned to the experts at Hollenshade’s. They drove my car and within 1 minute knew exactly what the issue was. It was amazing to be in the car as they drove it and the knowledge to be able to diagnose the problem just by driving it around the block was incredible to witness. They lifted the car and diagnosed the wheel bearing was bad. They fit me in a day later and installed a new bearing and aligned the car. I went to the shop to pick up the car and was pleasantly surprised to see that the bill was less than the quote I received. I drove off the lot to head out of town and was in total amazement as my car felt the same as it did when I drove off the lot when it was new. I could let go of the wheel and it just drove straight. I couldn’t be happier with the service, expertise and cost of the repairs. I would recommend Hollenshade’s to anyone looking for honest experts who will fix your car right!

This is by far the best team of automotive pros in the DMV. With family pride, they take care of their clients and their vehicles like they were family. I’ve never seen anything like it. As a non car person I’ve been ripped off and even had damage done to my car by other places, and finding Hollenshade was a joy.Many times I have asked them to check things for me or if they think I need this or that, and they’ll tell me honestly yes or no. Hollenshade’s is the only place I will take our cars. They are polite, knowledgeable, genuine and honest. I have had brake work done, exhaust work, routine checkups, replaced tires and periodic maintenance. They “know” cars and they don’t blow smoke. I have never had a bad experience or shoddy work done in the 7+ years we’ve used them. It’s family run and loyalty means something. They are also very funny and make for an enjoyable time while waiting to get the cars serviced.

I just wanted to share my experience with the Hollenshade’s because it has always been positive and they are the most honest men I have ever met. Most car shops, me being a younger woman, they try to tell you multiple different things are wrong with your car when you go to fix just one problem but thankfully for the Hollenshade’s, they always are honest with me and always help me get the best price and most affordable price possible. I feel as though this is something that should not go unsaid for because I know multiple scenarios where you go to get your oil changed and somehow there is “multiple issues” with your car because they want to get every nickel and dime out of you.
