Do not move here. I moved in 08/10/21 and upon move in I was greeted by roaches. The original fridge the Unit came with was infested with roaches crawling inside and out. Ever since I moved in despite having exterminators come twice, the refrigerator replaced, and spending my own money on baits and traps there have been roaches every single day. Beyond the infested apartment the original laundry key I was given did not work, only for me to get into the laundry facility through a maintenance man walking by and it was filthy. There’s armies of rats in the parking lot at night, the office does not answer the phone note return calls. This complex is basically uninhabitable and I would like to speak to whoever’s in charge.
The rent is affordable, but you get what you pay for. At my first place here my bathroom ceiling literally collapsed. It took them over a month to repair it and I was not compensated a deducted rent either. My second place here was cockroach infested and was not cockroach-free until months later. Additionally, management is money-hungry and not helpful at all. All in all, if this is your only option then take it. If you are able to spend a little more money to live somewhere else, then don’t pinch pennies living here.
Neighbors are chill n the place is cool and all but front desk is anything and not helpful, their explanations are iffy and the quality we received our crib is less than mid Its just funny they paint over any dirt left from other residents and left the kitchen a mess so we were welcomed to roaches everywhere. other than their team the people here real n the home is cozy
When I first moved in to this apartment, it was ok because the management team was very helpful. Anytime we put in a maintenance request, they’re always available to help until we started seeing new faces in their office. The current staff are not helpful at all. Our security door has been damaged, I went to them for help and even made several calls, yet no help. Mice everywhere, bathtub issue and the list goes on. Horrible and annoying.definitely living by the end of our lease.
This community is awful! Not only do people steal my packages almost as soon as they’re delivered but there are rats everywhere in the back parking lot. People do not put their trash in the dumpster and mice will chew their way through the apartment doors and the leasing office won’t let maintenance do anything about it. The buildings are not clean and you can literally hear someone’s phone buzz from next-door or above you. I am moving soon and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
When I first moved in it shuda been a sign to go someplace else!! They told me I could move in 9am get there and they said the apt wasn’t gonna b ready until 5:30pm!! A few weeks later I’m calling for maintenance request!! Let’s not speak about the mice!! We was catching 2-3 mice’s a day!! Mice gone but now for the past month or so I’ve been dealing with Gnats!! I’m so over this apt!! I pay almost $1300 in rent and don’t live comfortable!! I’m bouta start putting my rent in Escrow!! I’m over this community
The apartment doesn’t fix their toilets. Having me go to restraunts and use their restrooms
Rent is cheap, the apartment isnt great but it could be worse I guess. All of the buildings are old, so I had a wall of mold in my closet once. Maintenance took a few days to come out and fix it, but then they put in a dehumidifier for the whole apartment, which seems to be helping. I live on the top floor, so I havent had to deal with rats/mice. However, I see them at the dumpster every time I walk past it. I havent had too many issues, but these are definitely old apartments. If youre looking a for nice, updated complex, this isnt the one for you.
If your looking for an honest review, this is the one right here. Im sick and tired of seeing mice roam around my apartment. I have seen one every day and the mouse traps dont do anything. The traps killed a few but not all of them. The exterminators are no help, either! I want to get out of my lease because I didnt pay for a mice infested apartment. I WANT TO GET OUT OF MY LEASE BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE, THATS THE ONLY SOLUTION!
I really wanted to love this place and was so excited to move in here. The location and price were great and perfect for what I needed. However, the first weekend I had moved my stuff in, I found at least a dozen roaches in my apartment. I hadnt even unpacked any of my things yet. In the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen, they had even gotten into a box of food that I had to throw out. I can only imagine how bad the problem wouldve been if I had started cooking there reguarly. The only reason Im giving two stars instead of one is because of the staff. The leasing office ladies are great and really understanding. I explained to them that I have a young daughter with a roach allergy and would not be able to occupy the apartment or take any chances. They let me out of the lease and gave me a full refund without hesitation or fighting me. While I appreciated how easy they made that process, I essentially had to move twice within a week and find another place to go quickly. I dont recommend anyone moving here if you cant deal with bugs. In addition, I wonder if they didnt fight me on it because they have a documented issue with pests that wasnt disclosed before signing my lease.
I love living here its quiet and it’s clean all the time. This summer I was having issues with my central air and the maintenance gentlemen cane plenty of times to fixed it and couldn’t. We all suffered from asthma and what the front office did was so generous they put an A/C in my window so we can get some air. We had no idea and i was so thankful because my kids felt good and they thought of their health which means a lot for me. They are always helpful and generous they make it easy for me to stay here and I will leave here until I can find a house. I have live in Baltimore for ten years and so far Loch Raven village apartments have been amazing.
One of the most important factors to me when I look for in apartment living is whether the staff care about their tenants. What tugged my heart was when I made a complaint about no lights in the parking lot and that there could have been an attack because of the darkness. I immediately recieved a call from the manager concerned about my safety. That blew me away. For the last two months anytime I had an issue with anything, I received an immediate response. The staff here is very caring, professional and always there to listen. Yes there are issues just as many other apartment complexes, but Loch Raven Village is willing to solve or to help solve the issues. I am thankful for the peace that I have here and I am prayerful that the staff will continue to show the residents here that they are here for their tenants and that they care. Great Job Loch Raven Village......you shine!
I have been living at Loch Raven Village for a few years now. The new renovations in the apartments are great. The kitchen is my favorite room. Beautiful cabinets and marble counter tops! Staff is always professional whenever I call the leasing office. Amanda Pence was kind and very helpful, when giving me directions on how to set up my online account. Now I dont t have to come into the leasing office each month to pay my rent, I can do from the comfort of my apartment.Thank you LRV for all that you do to assure that the tenants are comfortable and safe. Oh, and a great big THANK YOU for the new fitnesscenter.
Rats, bed bugs, roaches and Cheap maintenance. I asked to get my toilet fixed from it being too unstable (an easy caulk fix) instead the maintenance guy put a block of wood behind my toilet to keep it stable. Roach problem in the summer as well. Rats are severely prominent at the dumpster, they allow public dumping which creates more trash I moved here two years ago and I regret it. I loved it but over time they let this apartment complex go... need serious updates.
I was a little skeptical from the reviews describing infestations so I prepared when I moved in and made sure I kept everything spotless. For the time I was there, I never saw anything and didnt have any other problems either. The staff was always friendly and willing to help you out. I would recommend to a friend.
No No no No no no!!!!!!! If you can find something better I would. THERE ARE RATS EVERYWHERE!!!!!! NOT MICE, RATS!!!!! Do not do your laundry, or take out your trash when it gets dark because you will be met with a family of rats! Im terrified to leave the building when its dark, and totally avoid it whenever possible! Ive never seen this many rats in my life !There are no dishwashers or garbage disposals! Very little closet space ! For the amount of rent that you have to pay, it is definitely not worth it at all!!! Run away if you can ! TERRIBLE
I been living at Loch raven apt for 3 years . I love the apartment very spacious most of all the apartment are close to everything you need. The office staff is very professional. Amanda has been so helpful and understand to the needs of my family and I. If I have a problem the Community Manager Deanna and Amanda will solve it quickly. This is a very family oriented apartment community to live in.
Its ridiculous trying to get maintenance to come out. Ive been here going on 3 years (not by choice) and Im still working with a dysfunctional stove thats been broken since I filled out my move-in form. They pick and choose what they respond to and when. And the leasing office isnt helpful at all. First of all, theres always new faces and they have a BIG issue with honesty. Only reason Im giving it two stars is because the area is safe, its down the street from a shopping center, its convenient for people that take public transportation, and most of the residents are cool (no noise). Rent goes up every year under the same conditions. I hope you have a cat, because there have been issues with rodents. Be prepared to go to the Laundromat down the street because the on-site laundry facilities are disgusting. Oh. And make sure you document EVERYTHING. Trust me. I have no clue where these positive reviews are coming from.
Whenever I requested maintenance its no more than one day after I make the request- that is the latest. Usually they come on the same day. They do the job efficiently and they are courteous. Everyone is polite and proficient in the office, especially Amanda. I am coming up on 14 years, never have one complaint.
Ive lived in this community for over 5 years and I am really happy with my choice overall. The management and staff are friendly and courteous. And Amanda Pence, accounts payable, is a sweetheart. Shes been here since I moved in and I really appreciate her. On another note, Ive seen apartments in other communities with less square footage and nowhere near as much natural light for a lot more. And Id be remiss if I didnt mention Deanna Drummond, property manager, by name for always responding and following through on issues brought to her attention.
This place is definitely on the upswing. I saw the bad reviews and was definitely cautious at first - but I have seen how first hand how responsive maintenance has become and how they follow up on things and really pleasantly surprised. Thank you!
I’ve been here for about 2 months now and I’m enjoying living here. The staff is super friendly, Ikea W. is my girl! She took me through the apartment tour, took care of my application and is there every time I have a question or need to pay rent. I don’t have any complaints!
Although my boyfriend and I decided not to live here (we needed a two bedroom but they didn’t have any available for when we could move in, the apartments are nice and spacious otherwise!) I just had to give Ms. Sherelle a review. When we toured, she was very nice, friendly, pleasant, and professional.
I’m really excited to move in, Ikea W. made the transition into signing off to my, new and first, apartment easy and exciting. She is very friendly and has kept me updated with any of my questions and concerns. I hope to continue to have a great a experience moving forward as a resident of Loch Village apartments.
Ive had a pretty good experience in the 4 years I have lived here. Everyone basically keeps to themselves. If something goes wrong maintenance is pretty good at getting out to you in a timely manner. No true negative comments here.
I like the complex. It’s quiet, lit enough, and the other residents are nice. The office staff is amazing and well accommodating and the rent is very reasonable. I started my second year not too long ago and for the most part I haven’t had any huge issues. I gave it three stars because of the rodents that seem to multiply. Get rid of one and two more come out. And the maintenance team that takes way too long to address the issues that are reported. I put in a request and when they finally came, they did something completely different and never addressed the original issue. I won’t be staying a third year but, if I had to, I’d move to an apartment with carpet. The wood floors make a lot of noise.
I been living at Loch Raven for 4 yrs nows. I absolutely love these apartments and community. I never had a problem with the leasing office. Amanda is always willing to help me with what ever issues or concerning I may have.
I have been here for 8 years so I like it. Things get done. I like the way that the maintenance guys treat me. The women in the office are very well trained, well respectful, and well mannered. Ive had issues with previous staff years before but the current staff is good.
I’ve been in my apartment almost 7 years I just love the amount of space I have !!! I feel like the lady’s in the office are always trying yo help you in anyway possible!!! I don’t think I’m going anywhere anytime soon! Over the years I seen a great amount of improvement in getting your apartment problems or needs handle in a appropriate time .
Hi every one i am so happy with whole staff maintenance, i spend 2 year like my own home, market and bus service was in front of door all access were walking distance but now i bought my own house then i moved but still i love this apartment . Thank you again .
Decent area, free parking. No inunit laundry and dumpster is always overflowing. There is no counter space whatsoever in the kitchen. I like the area because everyone sticks to themselves. But there is a HUGE RODENT problem. Upon moving in my boyfriend caught three mice within the first month. They are everywhere. There are ants everywhere. Will not be renewing the lease because this is disgusting. Unless you have a cat stay away
Relocating to a new state is difficult but when my husband and I got to Loch Raven Village Apartments we felt right at home. We were lucky to have the Trip experience. The Property Manager, Trip gave us a tour, explained the ins and outs of the application and rental process, and even called later that day just to check on us. Im very big on customer service and needless to say Trip and his team wooed us. Cant wait to move in!
Ive had mice in other places Ive lived, but this place was insane. I caught at least one mouse per month while living here (I lost count after 8 mice). In December I had a friend in another unit ask if I had roaches like he did. I didnt at the time, but five months later I caught two roaches on glue traps. Not to mention they put me in a unit with a layout thats not even on the website, and Im fairly certain is under the square footage they have listed for their 2-bedrooms...all while being charged the top range of rent for a 2-bedroom.The only benefit of this apartment was its walkability to shopping, but I would have fewer pest problems staying on the street.
The price is decent for the area. As a college student going to Morgan, the commute is decent as well.Upon moving into my apartment it was very clean. After the first month I noticed we had the first mouse. We called the leasing office they gave us sticky pads! They put on the list for pest control. When pest control came, they did a treatment and left more sticky pads. I personally watched the mice jump over the pads. Soon it became not just one but multiple. The leasing office will do nothing for you. Anyone who moves in here, I advise you to buy a cat asap.
My move in experience was awesome. The women at the office Shakirah was very sweet and her customer service was the best Ive had in a long time and i was able to get the unit i wanted.. I would recommend Loch Raven Village apt. To anyone looking for a place!.
They got rats, roaches and bed bugs. The layout of the apartments is pretty but the pest issues and pricing is not worth it! Rats literally running around the lawns and up and down the stairs. It’s disgusting
Nice place to live. Property manager is very friendly and maintenance staff is good. Really like the new fitness center!
Jessica Richards was influential on getting things done for my apartment before my move. She was nice and very helpful.
I must say. I love living here. The leasing office is very helpful. Amanda Is very helpful and professional. I would definitely move here if you are looking in the Towson Area.
Please do not move here. I’ve been living here since May and it’s been a living hell. The apartment it self is kinda ok. Not worth the money. But the people who lives on the top floor is up all night walking around making noise. Kids running around like there on a playground. You can not get any sleep. It is no common courtesy at all. But if you don’t have a job n like to stay up all night this is the place for you. It’s 205am and they are still awake. This don’t make any sense. I have to hit the ceiling with a broom stick to let them know there making to much noise. It’s to the point where my kids are complaining they can’t get any sleep. But like ignorant ppl they don’t care.. so with that being said I’m not going to be here any much longer...
Mrs Sherelle is the absolute best. She’s very nice and respectful. She made a way possible for me when I thought I was at rock bottom. Thanks
I have been a resident here for over four years the office staff is wonderful. Deanna who is the community manager is very nice to people.
NO STARS-YUCK! The most disgustingly dirty place ever-Inhabitable! RATS, MICE, ROACHES, MOLD need I say more!? 8/20/18 UPDATED -REPLY TO OWNER: I really wish I could reply to the owner, however I need to put it here... I posted pictures on my original review, however someone took them down...hmmm. Sadly, I had to laugh when I read the owners reply. Wake up people! Unfortunately, there is no fixing these pest issues (pest issues does sound better than INFESTATIONS doesnt it?). Roaches (complete with eggs), rats, mice and mold make this complex an extremely UNHEALTHY & UNSAFE environment. Anyone considering this place....please dont, just dont... any positive reviews on here are more than likely fake.
Great location, Big rooms, Maintenance staff are polite. Repairs are done in a timely manner. Clean buildings. Also they have a great leasing office staff that will help you. I would recommend Loch Raven Village Apts. if you are looking to relocate.
This is the absolute worse apartment Ive ever stepped foot in. My move in day was set for 10/15/2018. I get there, pay my deposit, and get my keys. The leasing consultant said she never got over there to do a walk through of the apartment so she came with my mother and I. We get there and i find roaches everywhere! The bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room. Everywhere. The leasing consultant had the nerve to tell me that pest control was there the Wednesday prior and rated the apartment a 1 out of 10 likely to have pest. She said she would talk to the property manager (who Ive NEVER seen) and ask her for pest control. The earliest they could come is on Wednesday! I have to be out my other apartment by Thursday. So my mother and I went back to the apartment and in the kitchen, opened the stove to find a NEST of roaches! The stove was DISGUSTING.So, moral of the story is they never cleaned the apartment and lied about pest control ever being there because if that was true the roaches would be dead. And every single one we saw was very much alive. Im outraged! This was going to be my first apartment and these people had the audacity to give me the keys to a ready apartment thats INFESTED with roaches AND theres mouse droppings in the corners of the walls and the bottom of my stove! I expect a FULL REFUND and the termination of my lease. My apartment was suppose to be ready. And it wasnt! Please. Anyone thinking of moving here just dont! Its terrible. For the rent they charge you arent getting the experience you deserve. They have the funds to build beautiful models and a dog park but cant do anything about their rodent and roach infestations! Its ridiculous. I looked at other reviews and other residents were still having issues! My rent would be almost $1000 for a 1 bedroom to room with roaches! Anyone who would give this dump a 5 star rating is lying! This is my experience and I havent even moved in yet. I wish I could give them a 0 star rating!Continuing on today 10/16/2018. I go to the leasing office clearly upset. Again the property manager is not in. The account manager called the regional manager to discuss the situation and I was told is had to wait for the property managers arrival. I left angry but decided to return back to the office and request the corporate number. I was then told by the leasing consultant that corporate would just say I had to talk to the property manager first. Which doesnt make since because they are above that. So I called anyway. So the apartments are dirty. But I got my money back. I would absolutely never recommend anyone to waste their time moving there.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay far away from this horrible place! They have a SERIOUS rodent problem! The building I stayed in was infested with rodents. My neighbors killed a minimum of 3 mice in 24 hours. Many holes in buildings! Management is terriable! They dont care about you and i was told by the manger of the contracting company that I wouldnt be able to give you a credit for the time you didnt utilize your apartment due to the rodent problem because if I do it for you, I will have to do it for everyone in the building! She knew that was a serious problem but didnt want to give me a credit only because she would have to give it to my neighbors. I was there for one year and I was GONE! Stay far away people!! This place needs to be shut down!
The apartment was very clean and well kept! The carpet, bathroom, kitchen is nice!! The staff is very friendly and makes sure that you have been accommodated properly! Very professional!
Leasing office is great.... i wanna thank IKEA for everything from the 1st day she has helped me with being able to make loch raven village my new home... 5 STARS ACROSS FOR IKEA keep up the great work😊😊
Ikea W. was such a help during this move in process. She was truly a delight to deal with. And made sure I was involved and answered any questions I had each step of the way.
We just moved in here and I liked the apartment, neighborhood, and assistance provided by Ms. Sherelle. It is a nice place to consider for affordable rent and for easy access to public transportation.
Sherelle is my leasing agent and she is fabulous. Older, spacious apartments with character! Friendly neighbors, clean grounds. Apts need a few touchups so dont expect the models in all units. Otherwise, great place!
Helpful staff! Sherelle is always kind and whenever I have any questions or concerns she always delivers her best ability.
My kids and I love our apartments it’s cool. The property manager have been very helpful.
My experience with Ikea has been excellent. She is knowledgeable about the property and lease, as well as reliable and responsive. If I have a maintenance request, it is recorded and resolved timely. I imagine this is the result of good communication with her team members. The entire team is great. Ikea is always pleasant, relatable, and goes over and beyond. Her desire to be helpful seems genuine.
Been living here for almost 3 years and have had a great experience. Staff is nice and helpful. Location is very convienent to 695 and Towson town center.
The staff is wonderful and I was helped by Ikea who is smart, wonderful and made sure before I walked out of that office I walked out with all questions answered even the ones that I didn’t even think about. Lovely staff
Living here was the worse experience of my life. Besides my car being illegally towed 2 weeks after moving I noticed immediately there was a roach problem. They sent the exterminator to my place several times over the 8 months I stayed in my apartment but the problem continued. They did nothing to help even though I voiced my concerns via phone and email. It wasn’t until I woke up with a roach in my bed that I had to leave the property. I was disgusted. Sadly I couldn’t afford to break my lease and they wouldn’t let me out my lease so I had to get an eviction on my credit. I refuse to live in a roach infested apartment building. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Ive never lived here. I couldnt bring myself to pay these people. I live in the townhouses next to this dump. If you love overflowing dumpsters, rats, poorly lit parking lots/sidewalks, and a never ending state of disrepair, then this third world slum is the place for you. The whole property is trash strewn, security is non existent, and management could care less.
The greatest staff and the most at home Ive felt in a very long time. I love my home. You Guys Rock!
I have lived in loch raven village for 2 years now and it’s ok if you can handle certain things. When we first moved into our place it actually looked nice. Stuff was fairly clean (kitchen, bathroom, carpet) and the kitchen had just been remodeled so it looked nice. But after a couple months of living here we started to see the problems. For one, there are a lot of mice. Don’t know if it’s our building specifically or if it’s all of them but there are ALOT. In 2 years, I alone have managed to kill about 9 mice. I have pictures and videos of mice (plural) crawling on our clean stove in the middle of the day (2-3pm). We were told the mice are most likely living in our stove. Also, We make sure our apartment is clean and tidy. We clean kitchen and bathroom every week but the mice are still here. Because of this I never cook food. I always eat out. I been eating out for 2 years because of this. I have seen mice crawling around my room at night, my roommates also see them in their rooms. I have to constantly clean rap poop out of my closet because they are always in there. We told the leasing office about the problem, they send pest control, filled some holes but nothing changes. Besides mice, there’s also a big roach problem. Our first year living here we saw a ridiculous amount of roaches both in the apartment and outside around the building at night. It got so bad that every time we opened our kitchen cabinet we would see a number of roaches crawling around. What made it worse was that it looked like many of the roaches were pregnant so the problem was only getting worse. We eventually found a temporary fix to the problem (roach bait) and it cleared up the roaches for at least 6 months but now they’re back but just not as many. The staff is ok. They aren’t necessarily friendly but they aren’t the rudest people either. They honestly seem to not care that much about the problems of the people living here. Maintenance is actually good. The main maintenance guy is nice and very helpful when he’s needed. Besides the pest problem the apartment is actually decent. Big rooms, spacious living room area and decent kitchen. It’s just the roaches and mice. It’s a serious issue. And ironically they keep increasing rent prices lolEdit: the positive reviews you see are probably fake. If you look closely they all are from the same time (5 or 8 months ago) and they all make sure to reference a specific staff member (probably the one who asked them to do the review). Be safe everyone.
IKEA ..😍 is an excellent employee very kind patient, educated I was served super well is the right person for your job
IKEA has been so helpful and informative! She represents Loch Raven better than the property!
They dont care they care about the money i dont have air in my apartment for 2 day they care about money
Ikea was very nice and helpful through my process of securing my apartment or was it her beauty lol! All jokes aside she was on point with everything she done for me. I haven’t moved in yet but I’m am happy I made the right choice thanks to Ikea!
Ikea W. has been an amazing resource since day 1. We were looking for an apartment and were having trouble finding a 3-bedroom unit within our budget. Ikea made the process very easy, and made herself available to answer questions every step of the way. Ikea even found us a discount that we did not even know we were eligible for. We moved a week ago and are looking forward to our time in Loch Raven Village.
I love it there very nice people and ms Amanda is a life saver
Do something! PLEASE this is stupid a place where there is barely any space mostly closets. ceilings are very bad ready to crack. infested with rodents and insects they dont know how to fix things just make them look good. And still charge you way too much for crappy home. some of the flooring isnt even wood its a printed mat.
Iam so happy to live at loch raven village apartmentI like the securityI like to recommend every one to live in this appointmentMay God bless the lease office mangers.
*EDIT*they did a patch job and our ceiling canne in twice. Our bathroom is full of unsafe living conditions! Our children are ALWAYS SICK! we reported them to the better business bureau and the health department. Their response was to ask us to move EVEN THOUGH WE ASKED FOR AN EARLY TERMINATION MONTHS AGO AND WAS DENIED! Stay away, STAY AWAY!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT! We want a full reimbursement for our unsafe living conditions.ROACHES, RATS, MOLD AND A TEAM THAT DOESNT CARE. Avoid this place, you will thank me later . I think whoever owns this place needs to do a staff clear out and hire people who will actually get the job done.
Ikea was so helpful in my move in process, so far this has been a good experience!
It was the most hideous time of my life. Mice everywhere. They werent even afraid of people or my DOGS.
Great customer service they are patient apartment was ready for move in on time I would recommend this complex 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great IKEA is awesome and has helped me in many ways 😍
This place is honestly the worst. I’ve only been here 4 months and the list of issues that I’ve experienced is extensive.Upon moving into the apartment, my oven did not work. Maintenance supposedly came and fixed it. The next week one of my burners stopped working. Shortly after that, all of the sewage from the apartment upstairs started flooding my bathtub. I had to argue with maintenance to come fix it immediately because they wanted to wait until the next day since it was 7pm when it happened. Then the knobs for my bathtub broke. They came and “fixed” them. Two days later they broke again. Then my window started leaking when it rained. They came and “fixed” it. That night it rained again, and guess what was still leaking? I had to argue with them to come back and fix it because they said it was already taken care of and didn’t believe me.I tried using my oven for the first time since I moved in (four months later, I’ll explain why I’ve been scared to use it that whole time in a minute) and it filled my entire apartment with smoke and nearly burnt it down. There wasn’t even any food in it, I was just preheating it.At this point, I can’t call maintenance anymore, because I discovered that the maintenance workers were using my apartment AS THEIR PERSONAL BREAK ROOM when doing repairs in my building! How do I know, you ask? Because I came home one day to my living room not in the condition that I left it, and my tv not on the channel that I left it. I proceeded to check my channel history and discovered that someone accessed several channels on my tv that day. All my windows were locked, and there was no sign of forced entry. No one has keys to my apartment except for myself and maintenance, and being that I was at work all day, the only other people who could have accessed it was them.I tried to address this issue with the property manager, and they completely ignored it. I had to send a certified letter in the mail to elicit a response from them, and all they had to say was that they have no record of any access to my apartment on that day, and that they do background checks on all their employees. OBVIOUSLY none of their employees are going to admit they accessed my apartment unauthorized. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out, and just because they had a background check prior to being hired doesn’t mean they haven’t done anything illegal since.I asked them to replace my locks with new locks. Their idea of new locks is using recycled locks from another unit. They have literally done nothing to help me feel safe in my own apartment. Now, onto the cockroach and mice infestations. This is another issue that I’ve been dealing with since day one of moving in. It’s never ending. Every day I find another cockroach and more mice droppings. Almost every week since I’ve moved in, they’ve sent someone to my apartment to address this, and literally all they do is spray some pest deterrent, and a few days later the cockroaches and mice are back. Now that I can’t trust the maintenance crew, it puts me in a very difficult position because I am scared to ask them to send someone to address the problem any further.Back to the non-working oven. The severity of the cockroach and mice infestation is so bad, that I’ve been too paranoid to use it. That’s where all the mice droppings and all the cockroaches scatter off to when I walk into my kitchen at night. I’m too scared to look behind the oven, because I know it’s probably vomit inducingly filthy. Oh, I forgot to mention, I had to scrub the whole apartment from top to bottom when I moved in because their definition of clean is simply painting over all the filth from any previous renters, and not cleaning anything else.I’m dating this complaint so any readers know how recent it is. Today is 8/17/2018. Unfortunately I still have 8 months left on my lease, and I will NOT be renewing it. If you still are interested in renting from these slum lords after reading everything that I’ve been through, then good luck. You’d be better off literally ANYWHERE else.
I feel as through the community is safe for children.I have always been able to communicate with Amanda.
After reading all these comments, I am very worried. I shouldnt have run behind price that could possibly make my one year -a nightmare stay.I already paid $250 holding deposit . I didnt like the behavior of leasing staff. The lady said she will show me apartment 1 week before moving but I never got a call for site seeing. She now blames maintainaince team. I am moving tomorrow and apartment isnt ready yet .Imagine the pressure on prospective tenant whos already given notice on old apartment and cant see the new moving tomorrow. This should be very unethical practice .

Ive been at Loch Raven Village apts for 1yr now and I love it!!! I plan on staying here for awhile great customer service!
Im glad I read the review, I went there to get an application, the office personnels were little cold,, no eye contacts, no welcome greetings. I will never give my money to people who dont appreciate your business
It been nice living here. amanda been great,
Trip was very personable and helped us out a lot with getting our apartment application moving along he made our experience easy and fast! He was amazing!!!!!
Really had great service with my new apartment.
Fabulous excellent maintenance and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
This place is DISGUSTING! ROACHES, ROACHES, TRASH... DONT BE A FOOL LIKE WE WERE. To top it off if you pay extra for a renewed home, your bathroom floor is nothing more but a sticker thatll come up after about 2 weeks of living there. People peeing on our windows in the middle of the night since were on the bottom level, and the community of neighbors that like to stay up all night partying and driving on the lawn. When you bring problems up no one cares, the rat problem is so incredibly bad that the health department had to be called. I would love nothing more but to get out of here due to sheer fear of these disgusting rodents. When you call corporate or the front office they will just tell you that its being taken care of, which its not. Before we moved in I even questioned if the complex still had rodent or roach issues since we read everyone elses reviews. They had assured us that the problem was taken care of. Let me tell you that couldnt be any further from the truth. The maintenance men are pretty good guys, but theyll even tell you that if somethings broken the complex tells them to do the cheapest route possible to get it fixed. I have gone to the leasing office, and to corporate with no resolution... I hope that whoever owns this hell hole reads this and hopefully get their s*** together.*edit owner replied to have me call back... still no resolution soooooooo
Management sucks. No care for their tenants they’re always trying to swindle money out of you. NEVER MOVE HERE
Its been a great place to live. i have made a lot of friends here.
Terrible Customer Service Skills I record a phone call from this place because I cancelled my apartment tour & I felt like I was being yelled at by the woman on the phone nothing about her tone was friendly Are you still interested? Yes, I just cant come in this week Well Im gonna remove you from the call list is that ok? ...I dont understand why I need to be removed but its ok after reading reviews I want nothing to do with this place
DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! These people do not care about you, your family or your well-being. They care about money and themselves only. They will not hesitate to screw you over at the first chance they get.
Genuinely a bad place to live. Ive lived here for six months and have had my car broken into and been mugged. There are no security cameras, theres no in unit washer dryer or dishwasher and yet they are raising the rent this year.
The Worst place to live, doesnt even deserve a star. The terrible leasing office never answers the phone but when you walk in there all they are doing is playing on their phones and giggling among themselves. Clearly it doesnt take much to get hired there. Rodent infestation every where and they dont do anything about it. Complaint after complaint, and nothing has been done. Dont even waste your time.
Sherelle Nitkowski, is very helpful!!
Sherelle is nice I like living here I’m transferring to a bigger apartment because I want to stay
This by far has been one of the worst renting experiences that I have ever had. I moved in a couple of months ago, and I cant wait to move out. Trip and Deanna where very professional, and personally I do not have and issue with any of them, but the apartments are not well kept, Im assuming when I move out is when I will actually have my itemized list of damages worked on within the apartment . Lets see where to begin, well the bedroom storm window was broken when I first moved in and its still broken, I requested a shower bar and about a month later it was installed, but I was told that someone had entered the work that I requested to be done had been completed that was a lie, I had mold growing up the wall in the bathroom, they did address that after numerous calls, the tub was painted a what looks to be cork is cracking all a round the tub and also shower head, the material that was placed on the bathroom floor isnt even tacked down, the rodents are out of control but lucky for me I took pictures of everything before I moved a lick of furniture in there.. I was told the majority of the things I had jotted down, already had work orders in for, Okay .. so when are they coming .. I have been calling the office for two day now and no answer nor call back.. You have to pay attention to Amanda in accounts receivable, if not she will do her best to get over on you, I paid my rent a day late and was prepared to pay the 5% late fee, when I called her to confirm the exact amount an additional 40.00 was added on top of the late fee.. I went home and pulled my lease out and no where on the lease did it state you would have to pay a late fee and also and additional fee, I sent her and email and confronted her with the information that was given to me at the rental office upon move in which stated AFTER THE 7TH if your rent has not been paid in full you will be responsible for an 50.00 filing fee.. So I say to her Amanda my check is post dated for the 6th of the month so please help me to understand why am I being charged and additional fee, according to your office paperwork its stated that after the 7th they would be a fifty dollar filing fee, so I ask her to please help me to understand this, her response was please send me a copy of the sheet that states that .. I sent her a copy and her response was oh we emailed everyone that we would be filing on the 6th and I m sorry for the confusion .. When I stated to her that I never received the email, would she mind forwarding me the email again so that I may move forward I have not heard back since, which leads me to believe she never sent one she decided to tax me because she felt as thou she could, at this point I would not recommend this place to my enemies, I that if I could move today I would, I truly advise that you think long and hard before signing a lease with them, because you just might regret it.. to me the lack of communication, lack of admitting when a mistake has been made is a major turn off.. I do not want a sorry for the confusion I would like my MONEY BACK .. as I m sure you work hard for your money, I work hard for mine as well. Oh yeah did I fall to mention I was given the wrong keys to my apartment on arrival and I was also told the apartment would have a den .. NO DEN .. NOT SURPRISED..
I have never in my life been so stressed out, irritated, and down right confused by the complete unprofessionalism, disorganization and just overall MESS with the renting process for an apartment EVER. The women at the leasing office do not know ANYTHING. They havent been able to do something as simple as calculate my bill without my help. If i were to go into detail about the crazy stuff that i have been dealing with at the leasing office in this place, you would never believe me. I cannot believe it myself and i am completely dissatisfied and disgruntled. I am still trying to figure out whom to complain to about the riddiculous amount of STRUGGLE i have had to put up with from them just to rent a place.
Everyone should do a good research before moving into any new house or Apts. We moved in one of the apartment 3 month before. We never saw it before moving in. They wouldnt let us. There were mices in the kitchen and cockroaches everywhere. We went to the mgmt office and told them about it. They said they would send someone over but they sent someone over after 2 weeks. They only put like 4 mouse traps and told us that is the only thing they can do.we went to them again and again but got the same answer. We are catching mices with our hands and throwing them in trash can. But still there are many more. And the cockroaches, they are everywhere. At least we only have six month lease contract.
Amazing apartment complex! Super affordable too!
Great place to live!! Nice people in the front office!
Lived there for 3 years. I wouldn’t recommend it to my enemies. From mice to bedbugs, it was the worst experience ever! They knew there was a bedbug infestation throughout the complex and did nothing! We had to pay to have our apartment treated.
