I’ve been a regular customer of HairByEddie for almost 10 years now. When I started going to Ed, he was based out of New Milford, NJ. This was extremely convenient for me at the time, as I lived a few blocks away from that shop.Then, Ed expanded opened his shop in Totowa, NJ, and EgoTrip was born.My 6 minute trip to the barber turned into a 30 minute trip, however I was unfazed by this. I never thought twice about it, because you simply don’t come across professionals like Ed these days. It’s so rare that I was always willing to take that drive.Funny enough, shortly after he moved to the new shop in Totowa, my wife and I moved to Wayne, NJ which is just 7 minutes away from the shop. Talk about convenient coincidence!Ed has mastered his craft and is one of the few who truly cares about his customers. I’ve personally witnessed his dedication to customer service for nearly a decade and he never fails to impress me.Customers from age 3 to senior-aged customers and everyone in between - Ed offers the same consistent top-notch service to every customer who sits in his chair. And MAN does he have a way with children..I’ve never seen a barber successfully turn a screaming toddler who is completely hysterical to a totally content and excited toddler getting a haircut.—Parent: “Can you tell me how you did that? He was just crying a minute ago..how did you do that?”—This man really knows what he’s doing and even that is a gross understatement to the level of service HairByEddie provides. Unmatched customer service in every aspect.I was always happy to take the 30-minute drive to HairByEddie when he moved to Totowa. Why?1. Consistency.2. Quality.3. Cleanliness.4. Customer Care.That’s why.These characteristics are rare and very hard to come by - *especially* in the industry of barbers and hair stylists. Have been going to this place for years. Clean establishment. Friendly barbers. All the barbers are great, but Shaun, in particular is who cuts my hair. Hes efficient. Doesnt take breaks while cutting. And he strives to be a perfectionist. The only place i go to for a haircut.

Eddie is awesome super personable and the first barber I’ve had that would actually recommend wats best for my hair and what haircut would look good on me. Best barber on the planet

Eddie was the first barber I trusted with my beard and he always did a great job. I recently moved down the shore and got a beard trim from some hipster joint. It wasnt awful but they didnt give the Eddie Bastidas treatment, that atention to detail and patience to get it perfect. I realize now how incredible it is to have a barber of his caliber. Ill probably be taking the hour and a half trip next time I need to clean up my beard.
