Great gym, is very COVID-19 friendly. The staff here continually cleans and monitors equipment! Would definitely recommend people to come here for a great experience

Wanted to try this gym because it looked awesome and not too crowded so me and my son each got the Ultimate VIP memberships month to month we paid about $165 each-which included first and last month, however I decided at the last minute we were moving out of the city so I went to the facility in Torrance to cancel my membership since it states on the contract that you may cancel and get a refund before the 5th day. My son and I went on the 5th day to the front desk to ask for a cancellation form, the woman at the front gave us both a form, it was signed and dated and she told us that we would get our refunds within 14 days or less sad part is we NEVER received our refunds or at least an e-mail explaining why we didnt receive our money back. We never even stepped foot into the gym to even try it out any of the equipment or classes and we got jacked for over $300 bucks. Its Sad and unprofessional. Its NOT OK to steal from people just because they change their mind about their membership!

I tried cancelling my membership in person and they keep telling me I have to email someone else. Then they have the nerve to charge the monthly fee plus an extra free. Then they call me and they would say they need a cancellation for but if you go in person they tell you they arent accepting cancellation forms. Dont waste your time. Its hard to cancel your membership.

Love this gym 😊 the equipment is good, theres squat racks. Access to disinfectant available to clean after use all over the gym. The staff is friendly amd attentive. Been a member here for about 5 years.

1. Would it kill you guys to put blinds on the windows like the one in the lobby? No one wants to stare at the sun while theyre squatting. Ive been asking for years and no one seems to care. Its not an expensive addition. Look at the pics. Everyone I talk to wishes we had blinds up for sundown.2. Only one cold drinking fountain at a time, ever.3. Theres always multiple pins missing from the machines and you have to steal them from other machines.4. Kick out the guy that puts 30 plates on the leg press. Hes gonna hurt someone and hogs all the weights.

I am an avid health club goer for nicely over 20 years and had not anything but a extremely good experience at this facility. They offer an array of classes, and are tailor-made to what ever your needs can be. i was a bit skeptical in the beginning due to the call but changed into straight away taken lower back via the hospitality and curtious group of workers. unique thanks to Alfonso the Senior club professional who made a fellow up with me to ensure that i was glad with the gymnasium.

Just very spacious gym compared to others. Its not stuffy and plenty of machines and weights to workout even on the busiest hours.

Good Luck trying to cancel your membership. Notified them 6 months ago and they stopped charging my account. Then they started charging me again and said it takes 21 days to cancel, so now they want to charge me for another month as well. Shady business practices.

This is a review based purely on the management staff. The gym itself is quite nice. I think this review will be helpful to anyone who ends up having billing issues with UFC Gym, but probably not relevant to most regular gym goers.Here is the long and short of it:UFC Torrance has not refunded $185 dollars that it owes me. The refund has been overdue for over three months as of this writing. Moreover, management (in particular Bennie and Aaron) is giving me the runaround, not responding to my emails and texts, and putting me on hold for inordinate amounts of time when I call.ContextI truly wanted to be a member of UFC Torrance, but my home was under renovation and I was living farther inland. I signed up having been promised that I could use other UFC locations in the interim. Once I was signed up, however, I was told that I could use other locations just NOT the ones near me. That helpful information wouldve been more helpful prior to swiping my credit card.I tried it out anyway, figuring that a drive down to a gym that I really like would be worth it. But driving 40min to the gym on weekdays is just not feasible for me. So I canceled within the five-day grace period that allows for a full refund, intending to enroll once more once I moved back into my home. Ive yet to receive the refund and no longer plan on enrolling.

UFC Torrance is one of the best gyms Ive ever been to. I love the friendly staff, customer service, the awesome coaches, and the members. I was a member less than a year and I was treated like family. UFC has a variety of classes to help you reach any goal. They also have the state of the art recovery room. I would highly recommend UFC Torrance.

Very rude staff and incompetent management. Took weeks to reply to my emails and then that didnt reply and they just ignore all my questions. GM Ben Valenzuela and OM Ophelia Griffin finally email me after about a month and then after that just ignored my questions and emails. Same on FB messenger, just ignored me completely. Basically I got signed up to their gym somehow after trying to subscribe to the UFC FIT website trying to watch a library of fitness workout videos, which didnt even exist, and then somehow I got signed up to the UFC Gym Torrance which I didnt want. After emailing many times and submitting contact forms on the ufcfit.com and getting no reply, finally I got one from their gym saying they would send a cancellation form, and nothing else ignoring all my other questions and concerns. Whoever runs this operation at the UFC should be ashamed and out of a job because its an absolute disgrace!!

Most of the machines are old and barely working, some are out of order, and the working ones keep making a sueak noise while you workout! The Coach of the daily class start at 9 am is the most annoying! Hes just yelling like nobody else is at the gym. The rest of the coaches are as useless as any shower at the gym! Only if u pay a zillion dollars an hour they help otherwise they wont even look at you or answer your questions! If they fix these issues then I think the gym will be great!In my personal opinion, This UFC gym give the same value as Planet Fitness. Actually with these old machines, I think Planet fitness gives more value for $10 a month that this UFC !!!

I recommend this place to everyone as it is always clean... child care is amazing and helpful... classes are fantastic! Everyone here including members that attend just make this gym feel welcoming and fun. Coaches are also great with kids. My daughter has had a one on one training with Chris Ortiz, and she was scared at first but he made it fun for her and she ended up having a good time. Now she enjoys her classes at gym too. I’ve been to another UFC gym and this one is my favorite. I’ve also been to differEnt gyms and UFC is still my favorite! Even on the busiest days... I’m still able to use equipment. I also love how they have challenges and events, it’s great encouragement! They are also involved with other such as breast cancer awareness, Australia fire, military... I’m sure more but this is just a few I remember quickly. Thanks UFC Torrance!

I do my workout with UFC Gym few years now. They recently replace old equipment with new one including the roofs and rearrange/add more equipment. Plenty of parking space outside especially if you do your workout between 8-10pm which I normally did because of my line of work. Mens room is always clean and enough storage for your bag etc. Overall experience is really cool. Besides, I l really like those sand bags as well for my boxing/kicking training just to loose weight and build more endurance. :)

I have been a member here since right after they opened. The vibe in this gym is the most friendly, family like setting I have seen. The coaches ( Ruben, Erika, Jason, Craig, Bill) to name a few are top notch and strive to help you achieve your goals. The arm bar and recovery staff are top notch as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

UPDATE: After 3 months, I was able to get a hold of UFC Gym and clear up the issue with them. The representative was very professional and helpful. I was happy with the help they provided, despite the fact that it took so long and I had to keep contacting them to get a hold of someone.UFC Gym needs to work on its internal operations and customer service. My issue was the result of an inadequate messaging system that interfered with or flat-out prevented communication between customers and the gym. It is understandable that the gym, like other businesses, would have so much trouble given Californias extremely restrictive lockdowns and COVID precautionary measures. However, it is a businesss job to adapt to changing circumstances - even extreme ones. I was disappointed with the gyms inability to adapt and the resulting headache that I had to deal with. I also note that the General Manager had no problem sending promotional messages during the COVID closures, but apparently he couldnt be bothered to work through his message systems (phone, email, etc.).My original review is below. It still serves as a warning for what can happen from an honest misunderstanding and/or a failure to communicate. I am glad that a representative of the gym took the time to make the situation right. But it never should have happened in the first place. I hope the gym improves its internal systems, including its means of communication with customers. The facilities themselves give a good value - when the State isnt forcing every business to close down.- - - - -I tried to cancel my membership. I gave written notice of the cancellation. UFC Gym charged me membership fees for months that it was closed due to COVID-19, after temporarily stopping payments. It gave no notice that it had restarted payments. It took money out of my account.UFC Gym never confirmed my cancellation. Instead, two months later, I get a call from a verbally abusive collections agent who said I owed six times my monthly membership amount on a missed payment dated April 2020 - right in the middle of when the gym was closed for COVID and not charging memberships. I believe UFC Gym received my written request to cancel membership, did NOT respond to confirm or raise any issues, and instead sold my personal information to a collections agency that is not licensed and has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau for fraudulent business practices.Do not join this gym. The service is not worth the abuse of trust or discretion.

Best Gym Ive been to and Ive been to gyms for 18 years. They have awesome classes ranging from daily ultimate training, to cycle, P90x, Fight fit, jiu jitsu, striking and more. Friendly staff and awesome vibes!

Great gym in general. Lots of options for machines, free weights, and functional training. I definitely get a good workout here even though some of the equipment and variety feels dated (theres like 9 different stations for biceps). They could use a lever squat machine and belt squat machine badly! Especially with all the women out there looking to build their booties. The gym recently got a hip thrust machine which is awesome. Class variety is good. All in all a solid place to work out. With some new gyms (possibly with newer/more relevant equipment) going in nearby, itll be interesting to see if UFC keeps up.

I have been a member for 5 years now and feel that the facility up keep has declined over the last year. You are lucky to find a working treadmill. Malfunctioning equipment not labeled out of service. Today I reported the high humidity in the Class Room to 2 employees at the front desk and they did not even care to assess the room. Said theyd report it the next day and explained that no maintenance staff available to adjust. Seriously thinking of canceling my membership😡treadmills are not tagged out of service. Today I reported the humid temperature in the Class Room to 2v

Love the vibe, equipment, the grittiness of it compared to the slicker big gyms. Its a perfect hybrid of big gym, CrossFit vibe and boxing/training gym all wrapped up in one.I signed up the entire family (6 of us!) For a reasonable price.

I was told that under my membership kids club was included. I made it clear how important having care for my kids was. When my husband enrolled he was told exactly the same but he needed to pay for my 3 yr old. These two membership were purchased with two different people. No, one had said anything to us but after 2 weeks of coming on the daily basis to the gym that we needed to pay. I told the lady arent we paying as is included, she said no. She made a big deal and wasted about 20 minutes of my precious time. When I finally brought this to the General Manager: he was argumentative, he was defending his workers, and offered my to give the full refund and he threatened us with checking camaras. To that I said go for it, were not lying. No one knows whats going on, no information is ever accurate coming from them. Plus, the lady from the kids club chased my daughter after my husband had picked her up, all the way to the showers. We asked about products in the shop nor manager or the cashier knew anything about it. Yes, manager was socializing! They think socializing is good customer service. They need to focus, be friendly, courteous, polite, and responsible with members. But after, my experience with the general manager, I understand why employees are the way they are.

I like how the staff is pretty friendly and offers so many different programs at a good price. I get an atmosphere at UFC unlike anywhere else and I have been to a few gyms before this.

I used to love going here but new trainers are body shamers! Bad example for new athletes. Sorry you need to lecture your teachers to be humble!

Great Gym! Great Equipment & the people are friendly! The Food bar is great, but just be careful & watch as they make it, (meaning what they put in it)! I asked for Almond milk, & clearly watched a girl put non fat milk, (Im definitely not a milk fan), i asked her, which milk did you put in my drink, as she looked down on my cup she responded oh Almond milk! (The cashier had written Almond milk on the side of the cup), I was way to blown out tired, but was in ah for being straight out lied too! Right to my face! Other then that the gym is great. The food bar has good food. I recommend. Just be mindful

I go to the UFC gym on Hawthorne Blvd, in the city of Torrance. I go to the gym in the mornings and its great how they have a cleaning staff working. A lot of the coaches, arm bar employees, cleaners and front desk personnel have been very nice. The gym does have a decent amount of traffic so equipment will be used. Plenty of cardio, cable and free weights so I dont have to wait around for a workout. The arm bar has good shakes, meals and acai which now and then they run out of cause its so good how they make it. Also check your email cause the big boss their does have membership deals. The arm bar also has sales on vitamins, minerals, powders, clothes and gym accessories. They also have the new cryotherapy and fix your body up station for an additional cost per month. Still beats the 1 session cost from other areas which are expensive. Thank you for reading and hope this helps your decision.

Really showing its age. Lots of things are in disrepair, moldy insulation hanging from the ceilings, etc. Not only that but you have all of the DUT people who get in the way.Hopefully they remodel this place soon and get all new equipment and shelf the beginner machines, it used to be the best gym!

Ive been a member for four years since the grand opening and after having been a member at 24 Hour Fitness for years prior I have to say that UFC Gym has been a very welcome change of pace. From the experienced, highly-capable staff, the selection of classes and equipment, the general atmosphere and energy, and the Arm Bar nutrition bar and the Kids Club, this gym has everything Id want in spades.

Decent gym. Was a member for 5 years because at the time the locations and hours were convenient for me but in the end youre wasting money on the monthly dues if youre not going to their classes. The day you join isnt the day youre billed, they bill you 2 days later (I joined on the 3rd but got billed on the 5th) which they dont tell you. If you want to cancel, they dont tell you they need to receive your cancellation request atleast 21 days prior to your next billing cycle which, again, they dont tell you about. Music is a tad loud, weights are scattered everywhere, and chalk is almost always on the bars.

I was scammed into a cheap membership plan. I was told that Id get a lower monthly membership fee if I bought a personal training package of $120. I paid because he talked me into it but then another lady in the gym said that she was paying the same price and didnt have to buy any sort of package. It got taken care of but who knows how many others this might have happened too if they didnt speak about the situation.

Receptionist at night at the front doesnt seem to be knowledgeable about anything... I signed up online with free pass to accompany a friend here. He said he couldnt find me, asked me to filled a handwritten form but inconsistent with the online form, I wasnt want to do it again, and no one in charge to fix any issues. Really dissatisfied with the service. Plus the 2 people work at front dont reflect images of UFC gym, they need some health and fitness bad !!

Decent gym from a equipment variety standpoint and I see a lot class variety. If you are into that this seems like a solid option.I am here specifically to lift. For lifting only the gym is only OK. It is usually over crowded and the majority of people there tend to not rack their weights and take up multiple pieces of equipment or weights at the same time. The gym is 24 hours though so if you have the ability to go super early or late I would recommend it.Staff is nice but equipment that is broken is often left that way for weeks at a time.Some of the other cons for me is that there is only a single peck deck and only one smith machine.Get on your game UFC gym...

Its my favorite gym. I like the variety of classes as well. The staff is great and the people Ive met are really friendly. All we need now is a pool!

Somebody broke into my locker and stole everything; wallet, credit cards, DL, cash card, keys, brand new iPhone... It was around 7-8 pm during weekday, and I used a stable lock. The gym was crowded, and many people should be in the locker room. But this incident still happened. No nice angle surveillance cameras or physical security guards. This doesnt make sense as a 24/7 gym in a city like Torrance. I have been in investigation business. I was expecting the gym to provide reasonable security measures to prevent/investigate this kind of incidents. They may say no valuable items in the locker. Okay, but who goes to a gym without carrying anything? Who goes out without car/home key, ID and cellphone? Other gyms like LA Fitness usually offer small safe boxes with dial locks just to store small items. Where should I leave my personal items while I am taking a group class if the locker room is not safe? Just leave on the floor where anybody can access? I have been a member of several fitness clubs for more than 20 years, but UFC Gym Torrance is the only place I have experienced like that. Total nightmare after the incident. I like classes there, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this gym.

Buyer beware.Kids club smells terrible. I wanted to cancel but cant since Im past their 5 day full refund period (which I wasnt informed of). But, thats my mistake.Not the best of gyms, but better than most. Ill stick to working out at Coast Fitness. Its cleaner, the kids club smells WAY better, and they offer a few more amenities there as well.

I got charged a $10.00 fee because I was late 1 day on my payment. The salesman didnt go over this when i signed up and they get paid 120.00 for signing up with them the least they can do is inform you about all fees! & JUST found out about a $70 fee they charge on the third month! RIDICULOUS!!!AND MACHINES ARE ALWAYS IN REPAIR.

The worst customer service. I had a problen with my account; i was told that it was cancelled. But it wasnt true, i was been charged every month after that. At first the management there pretend to be nice, but once I asked them to resolve the situacion and get a refound, they werent so nice anymore. They dont even tried to look for a solution, but rather made things more difficult to me. I didnt get my money back, i only had a stressful moment.Just make sure once u cancell your account get a copy of the cancellation, and talk to ur bank to stop any automatic payment.pop

Not only top of the line equipment and a clean facility, they serve relatively healthy food, have an amazing daycare and staff is always there to help.

I enrolled maliy to get Zumba classes at this GYM.After 3 months I had to move and went to the GYM to sign all the paperwork to cancel my membership. I am struggling two days now to get ahold of someone to see why they charged me 4 months after my cancellation. it is very unprofessional because when it comes to selling their services they will go after you with emails and calls and are always available for any upgrades... Parking is impossible to find at this locations and it gets very crowded inside.

I used to go to this location four years ago. It was ok at that time. Now that I joined the one on knox st for 59 a month and they told me to add all locations itd be 89, but also referred me to this one in case they have better deals.1. The receptionist here first said that I can cancel the one on knox and then he can sign me up for all locations at 59 a month. He also claimed to be the one in charge of memberships when I asked to speak to someone actually in charge. After asking him about details, he went to speak to the actualy person in charge.2. He first said that if it hasnt been ten days, i can cancel the knox membership and get my money back. When I told him it has been eight days, he said it is actually 5 days.3. After my workout, I went to double check befote cancelling the knox membership, the person who was in the office then changed all the numbers and said it is 99 a month to join both gyms and that the other guys must have not known what he was talking about.4. This is the main reason why I cancelled four years ago, they keep adding weird charges and increasing memberships. You cant even put the membership on hold.It is very sad that these sales people think that we are morons or have bad memory so that they can keep changing their facts and claim new things.

Now i feel like an idiot for getting a 3 year membership. There is no parking at all. Most of the time i find my self driving around for 15 to 20 mins looking for parking and sometimes i just leave. Parking was bad before but now its worse since burlington coat factory took half its parking lot. The gym is nice. But is packed most of the time and i think they could use more machines in there. Most of the receptionists are nice. But the sales staff come short of glory due to there unprofessional ways of getting more memebers. Two of my friends showed me texts from them saying unprofessional and inappropriate things. NOT ACCEPTABLE. UFC needs to fix this parking situation, which is impossible or its going to lose alot of members.

Good gym, just be careful, they take out money from your account with out asking you, after you confront them they apologize and they still havent return my $158 . Every week same story, just give me 4 to 5 days and you get your money back we stole or for them we took out by making a mistake.
