Golden State BJJ is an Awesome place to train. The atmosphere is friendly, and conducive to learning. Professors Dane and Mike are true professionals and make learning simple. The instructors are top notch, with great detail, care and are extremely friendly.For all of you parents out there GSBJJ is a great place to get your kids started in jiu jitsu. Their kids program is second to none.

Been training 4 years and this was the easiest drop in Ive ever done.Instruction was great, mats were nice and clean, everyone was friendly.In my experience drop in students can be left alone, but the instructor took the time to learn our names and give us the class structure.Will definitely come back when were around LA again.

Great teachers bring your kids over let the learn how to defend them self from anything as they grow older and we as a parent cant be there to defend them from stupid people .

Dane and Mike are awesome. They are good people, are good at BJJ, and know how to teach. The atmosphere at Golden State is perfect for BJJ. Hard training is encouraged and technicality is emphasized. This helps you get better at BJJ while avoiding injury (as much as possible). Ive trained at a lot of academies all over the US and world, and, even with all of the selection of BJJ in LA, I drive out of my way to train with Dane and Mike at Golden State.

Its tough for me to find the right words to express how highly I recommend GSBJJ. Mike and Dane are extremely personable, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone here knows each other by name and are welcoming and helpful. There arent any egos in the gym. Golden State has assembled a fun family environment in both the kids and adult classes. Me, my cousin, my niece, and nephew attend and love it. Overall, this experience has been life changing. Dont hesitate to come in for the introductory classes. See for yourself.

I can’t say enough good things about Professors Dane and Mike, and the gym they run together. The location is simple, clean and conducive to learning. Both instructors aren’t just first-class BJJ practitioners, they’re first-class people. Simply put; you’d be hard-pressed to find a better place to train.
