We searched the internet for several months and discovered Ketterman College. We schedule an apt soon after and were impressed by their planning recommendations. We signed up that same day, and our daughter got great offers from colleges of her interests with substantial grants. We are now working on getting our son started with them.

Though Im glad to see a large number of enthusiastic reviews of this program, I can only give this program two stars since the overall cost vs. reward was rather minimal based on the course my son took on choosing a University. Kims advice on moving funds into Annuities to keep the numbers out of sight for college funding and the family contribution is, I believe, sound. But the one Annuity she recommended is by far the worst investment Ive made in many years. All the other Annuities I selected have yielded positive returns. So far the only weak investment is the Ketterman advised policy. Very disappointing to pay an adviser twice, once for the Funding program and again for the commission she is receiving from her referral to the Annuity.That said: both Patrick and Barbara are real pros and offered pretty consistently good advice on college planning and assistance on getting the initial forms filled out and submitted. Our sons college choice put us out of the useful back end of their work, which is pitting college funding offers against each other. If your child is aiming at a very specific college or set of colleges (ie: in-state college systems as in California where the scholarships are state wide and less oriented to a single college), the Ketterman back end of assistance with leveraging the amount of funding is less applicable. Our son got an immediate award, but beyond that Ketterman offered nothing and the award had nothing to do with the Ketterman cycle. We should have learned the ropes on our own and saved the $2000+ for college fees. They would have been more usefully applied.Im guessing from the reviews posted some people may have a positive experience, but we were sad and very disappointed in the overall results.

Ketterman College Funding was well worth every penny. We used Ketterman College Funding when our daughter was applying to college. She received a generous aid package from both NYU and University of Michigan, We found them to be very responsive, always answering our phone calls and emails and extremely detail oriented. Patrick, who handles all the financial data, is extremely knowledgeable and patient in explaining all the details and facts. We are certain that we would not have received the aid that we did without their help and guidance. Thank you Ketterman College Funding!

We signed up early in the college planning process with Kim and the Ketterman college team so we will be well prepared for the college transition process. Kim has provided excellent advice and recommendations in this first phase of the process. She is very knowledgeable of what is happening in the college environment and has been well prepared, timely, professional, insightful and responsive in our office meetings, fielding our questions via e-mail and phone consults. We have also worked with Barbara and she is so knowledgeable and has provided excellent recommendations, support and planning guidance to us and to our daughter. Kims office staff has been very responsive and supportive.

A nervous parent sending his first born son to college....I found Ketterman to be the PERFECT fit for our family. Not only did they save us an incredible amount of money - but they are a great value for the money. They give us as much time as we need to understand all involved. We can call everyday if need be. Ketterman makes one feel as if they are in an exclusive club that knows all the financial secrets you will need to maximize your college spending value. I can relax knowing I will be well taken care of and not miss and filings or deadlines. Ketterman has given me piece of mind and they are fun people to boot! A perfect fit. My wife and I felt an enormous amount of relief after our first meeting with Kim. Our daughter was interested in east coast, liberal arts schools, focusing on international studies. We brought in a list of 10 schools we were interested in. Kim looked at the list and, based on our daughters resume, GPA and test scores, immediately recommended American University, which is a school we had not even thought about. AU accepted Rebecca AND provided the largest financial aid package out of all the schools she was accepted to. Most importantly though, it was the best environment for HER particular interest. Also, and this is a BIG BIG plus, once the ball starts rolling, Kims lead counselor, Patrick Comer, takes you by the hand and, step by step, helps you navigate the maze of financial forms and paperwork involved in getting your child into college. His knowledge base is huge and will relieve any anxiety you may have about the process. We highly recommend Ketterman College Funding!!

We have been clients of Ketterman since 2011 since our daughter was a junior in high school. She is now a Chapman University graduate and is working for Fox Channel 11. Our son is in his second year at Chapman University. We have been very pleased with the service we have received from Ketterman. When we first started, we dealt with one representative and were really nervous after he moved out of state. However, our anxiety quickly diminished when we had the chance to meet Kim directly and go over college choices, test scores, payment plans, and majors. I remember the initial student positioning phone call with Barbara Deems six years ago. It was very overwhelming, but as each month went by, everything started to make sense. She was always around to answer any questions and guide us through the next steps. We probably asked the same question over and over, but she was very patient. Now having had this phone call twice, we are so grateful that Barbara is a part of Ketterman. Patrick Comer (the FASFA guy) is just a gem. Although we have never met him, it feels like we have. He is so kind, thorough, patient, and just a joy to work with. He answers all questions in a timely manner and with the utmost professionalism and respect. It is so evident that he has been doing this job for a long time, because he is never stumped by any question we have presented to him. He encouraged us to appeal financial aid decisions and ask the appropriate questions in regard to having two kids at the same college in hopes of receiving better aid. We have had a very positive and enjoyable experience with Ketterman from Kim to Barbara to Patrick. We will continue our journey until our son graduates from Chapman University also. I encourage high school parents to give Ketterman a call and see what its all about so you too can learn how to receive the best financial aid for your college bound student.

Weve used Ketterman for several years. Boy, do they take the pain out of submitting paperwork and financials to the colleges our kids applied to, then down the line, were enrolled in,making deadlines and information an easy process. My eyes no longer glaze over!
