Fix My Home was great. Their team did an amazing job. Seriously, my mind was blown when I saw how great my house looked after they were finished. They were so helpful and respectful of my home. I dont think Ive had customer service this great in a really long time. I cant say enough good things about this company or their work. I am thrilled with my experience. The damage to my home could have been so much worse, but they were on top of everything. Thank you so much.

We had bad water damage to our floor and reached out to Fix My Home for help. They were so wonderful. They couldnt have been more helpful, honest, and professional. The price they gave us was very fair, and honestly I would have paid twice that for the quality of work we received. I think the nicest thing is that no one every tried to oversell us or make the damage seem worse than it was. They were so honest about everything. I would use Fix My Home again in the future, as well as recommend them to friends and family.

I hired Fix My Home for a limited mold testing and microbial testing. Darren gave me an impressive 1-hr window for an ETA; Barrett got here at the beginning of it.Barrett was professional, knowledgeable, and a clear communicator. I appreciated that he wasn’t a robot that just came and went. He saw that I was very concerned and stopped his inspection to assure me that my family was safe (I teared up). It stood out to me that while the machine was collecting the air samples, Barrett didnt go on his phone. During that time, he asked if there was anything else I wanted him to look at. I also appreciated how respectful he was of our property (other vendors have caused secondary damage to our home).Two days later, I was emailed a detailed mold report. Barrett called me to go over it and to see if I had any follow up questions. Amazing customer service from beginning to end!COVID-19: Barrett had his mask on before I opened the door and kept it on properly throughout the entire inspection. He had brand new booties to wear inside our home and put them on properly so I didnt have to clean my floors afterwards (saved me so much time).  He asked if I was comfortable being less than 6-ft apart. I know these are simple things, but worth noting because so many other vendors have gotten these things wrong.

Home Remediation service is something I certainly wasnt planning on looking into, and hope I dont need to again anytime soon. That said, thank goodness we found Darren and his team when our house suffered significant multi-floor water damage. Sorting out responsibilities with our insurance provider lost two days following incident. So it was critical [and so appreciated] that Darren responded quickly by the time I reached out to him on day three. He came by within hours of my call, assessed the damage, was extremely transparent with his examination, and left with clear next steps (what time he can send me the estimate, when he can get his team over, and what activities would take place in the coming days/ weeks).It was smooth sailing with FMH from day 1. Knowledgeable and reasonable pricing are default elements I look for in every vendor I work with. But we were incredibly lucky to also get thoughtfulness, responsiveness, understanding of clients priorities and a trusted advisor out of Darren. Needing to move out of our house, with two school-aged kids, while I had scheduled work trips across the country, and sorting through details with insurance provider couldve made this an incredibly stressful time for our family. But Darren helped alleviate the stress by checking in almost daily to share progress update on our house, test results, and provided guidance on next steps (timeline, rebuild referrals, questions to ask, etc). Now a two-time client of FMH, I also found comfort in seeing the same friendly crew at the house each time (both crew members have been with FMH for years), as well as getting the chance to work with Leanne each time. Very enjoyable interactions with the entire FMH team.Im not typically one to give vendor referrals. Honestly, most vendors give me the sense they do the bare minimum. Im often left wondering what Ive gotten out of the transaction and how much Ive been over-charged, simply by not knowing better. FMH is the one exception to this mindset, and their dedicated customer service has made me a devoted client. Ive referred them to many others in the past year, and will continue to do so.Thanks team! Darren and his crew helped clean up a minor mold issue during kitchen remolding. He was professional and I appreciated his honesty throughout the entire process. He and his crew were very professional! They were efficient and very hands-on. They come in and do their job all the while ensuring they dont mess anything up. They are on time and very approachable.He was very diligent in making sure the repairs were done correctly and in timely fashion.We are extremely satisfied with the work done and would recommend him for anyone that needs this type of work.

I have nothing but good things to say about Darren and FMH. Darren is truly the best home related person I’ve ever hired. He is super responsive and professional, the kind of person you want to give business to because he is so nice and honest and knows his field.We first met him last Feb when we had a water leak after the heavy rains. Water was dripping out of a light fixture into our bathroom on a Sunday morning and we knew we needed someone out ASAP. We went online and called a handful of people and Darren was the only one who called back right away. He was at our house within a few hours and assessed the issue, set up the containment and started the drying out process that day. He then tested the rest of our house for moisture to see if there were other leaks. It turned out the water was also leaking into our bedroom, so the next day he did the containment and drying out process again.Darren was also great in helping determine the source of the leak and helping me understand the issues and what next steps were to fix it. It was a long road ahead for us after that, and although Darren’s job technically ended after the drying out process, he really helped me through that time. He gave me advice on dealing with insurance, shared insight into what he’s seen with other homes, put me in contact with his son (who is also excellent) to help with fixing the drywall and deck above where the leak was coming from, and checked in from time to time.Another example was just recently, when our washing machine leaked. We immediately called Darren and he came over to assess the situation a few hours later. Luckily it turned out it wasn’t a big deal. He gave us some recommendations on how to handle and didn’t charge us for the visit.I hope to never have another water related issue again, however if I do, I will absolutely call Darren at FMH.

Darren & his team literally Fixed my home. My wife had developed a cough that got worse over time. After 3 months & a trip to our MD, we saw an allergist who found that my wife is allergic to a specific type of mold. I found FMH on Yelp & gave Darren a call. He took air sample from each room in the house & one sample from outside. He found a high concentration of that mold in the master bedroom. But there were also levels of it throughout the house.Darren & his crew took about 3 days to treat our house (including a crawl space under the house). He then took air samples again & the mold was practically nonexistent. My wife had not coughed from the mold once since the process was finished, almost a month now.I have already recommended FMH to my brother.Thanks Darren for doing such a great job & making feel relaxed & taken care of before, during, and after the treatment

Darren and his team at Fix My Home are responsive, professional, and experienced. Mold remediation is not a one-stop shop, its a process. It involves testing, remediation, lab results, and sometimes rebuilding. I found Fix My Home on yelp and had gathered some estimates from other local companies. Darren and his son showed up to my house for the initial inspection and checked my kitchen (where the mold was found) and my bathrooms for moisture and leaks (just in case). The mold found was an old problem from a prior tenant; it was dried out and whiffing through the house. It became a health issue. The remediation itself took about 4-5 hours and the team was able to fix the root problem--cracked caulking on the sink and a draft near the pipes. Call Darren for an estimate, you will be impressed with the knowledge and care he takes in conducting business. We are still in contact about another problem area in my house, I am hoping to fix that soon too!
