They offer the platelet donation that takes about 2 - 3 hours. Theres a great movie selection to keep you entertained during that time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, checking on you often. After the donation they offer some snacks and drinks. They make you feel good about the donation always expressing their gratitude

Im kind of a regular here, but today I showed up for my appointment and no one answered the door. Last time they were kinda rude so I didnt want to ring twice. I found another place to donate and they pay $75, red cross sells our blood but they dont pay and yet theyre rude and late.

I have waited loooonnnggggg only to have had the following experience:1. Zero effort to find my veins was non-existent.....I was so dissapointed. I get calls and texts about donating and then this.....literally palpated twice and said sorry.....zero effort.2. Privacy. The person doing my initial intake in the privacy rooms didnt close the door. When another staff came to close for privacy, she says no I need air. The door is closed by the other staff and says no we dont do that here. When the door is closed, the intake phlebotomist says out loud, thats why I hate coming to this center. This phlebotomist anbviously forgot her HIPPA rules.Ive donated many times before and have had no problems.

A wonderful Staff makes blood & platelet donations a pleasant visit. Remember to eat a bowlful of Malto Meal or Cream of Wheat for a great blood iron count during check-in.

This center is terrible. The staff is often late and I keep canceling my appointment. I was there on December 9, 2017 and the staff was late and 5 people were already waiting. I completed the rapid pass and what is the point. Two nurses came in while I was waiting and they came in very casual. No regard for being late. Should have made an announcement and addressed the fact that they were late. I had to ask one of them what they were waiting for to get started? She said she needed the supervisor to arrive before they could get started. Which I understand. However she could have said something to the people that were waiting. I dont like this center and I am calling them today.

A good place to give blood. My only complaint is that they are not organized, just getting to the point where you are ready to give blood takes way too long. My 16 year old daughter was giving blood and I was there to give my permission. Not once did they tell us, when we made the appointment, nor when we confirmed the appointment, that she needed to have a picture Id. They also werent prepared with the proper paperwork. With some organization and training the experience of giving blood would go much more smoothly.

The staff and volunteers are nice for a permanent location. Decent selection of movies for platelet or red cell donation. Processing can be slow depending on your time of donation. If possible create a regular schedule and donate as often as you can with appointments. Do good!

I have donated blood several times often on over the past 3 decades. With the new Red Cross blood donation app this was one of the quickest. With so smooth I almost could not tell that she even stuck a needle in me.

Nice blood donation center. Chairs are comfortable, interviews are done in a private room. Especially good for platelet donations as they have separate chairs and entertainment (dedicated private TVs) for volunteers opting for that longer procedure.

This is a great convenient, place to give blood or blood platelets. I have been going here for years and the staff are always friendly. I urge anyone that can to take a few minutes out of your week to stop by and donate blood - there is always a need. Save a life!

A lot of waiting around with staff just sitting there. Its been 2 years since Ive been here and they used to be a lot more efficient, where I was in and out in 20 minutes. Will not be coming back soon.

Patricia took care of me, very outgoing and easygoing. She deserves an A+++. We laughed and had a good time despite the torture lol.

The personnel are always dedicated and professional. It is my please to both learn from them and to assist.

Wait times long even w/ empty tables & staff standing around. I donate to help others. I dont get paid to donate. But, intake staff are almost pushing you away... especially if youre a walk-in & dont have appointment. Donation hours are limited... Theres no accommodation for early or late day donors make donating difficult.

I have always had problems with people finding my vein, but I have an understanding that I would naturally be a more difficult stick; however, at my last experiencing donating, I had a lady who I just felt like was not confident nor competent. Additionally, she seemed like she didnt want to work at Red Cross or even care about what she was putting her patients through. She missed my vein but acted as if it were my fault for having difficult veins. She wanted to go on a break so she called on this guy named Christian (who, by the way, was really good - hence the reason for two stars) to finish her work. My vein ended up going flat and they had to go to my other arm to get my test tubes filled. The guy was great but that lady was terrible. It sadden me to think that she represents Red Cross.

Because Im #2 diabetic, I fear giving blood. But, I enjoy being a part of the recovery by watching how the donors recover right after donating their needed blood! Thanx donors!

I Donate Blood at the Sepulveda location in Torrance Ca the average wait for me has been between one hour to an hour and half with appointment. I will continue donating as often as i can.
