Hands down the best dealership I have ever dealt with! I change vehies every 2-3 years and I have yet to experience this type of amazing service! Stephen and Daniel were extremely helpful and friendly even during this time where there is low inventory of vehicles nationwide! I have been to several dealerships in the past couple weeks and all seem to be taking advantage of the low inventory and all the crazy markups! Definitely not here! These people are honest, friendly and go above and beyond! Thank you Daniel and Stephen for being stand up guys!
This week was the first time I went to SB Hyundai. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I have an older car and had been going to other Hyundai locations that closed. I did not know what to expect and felt I could not have been treated better! Donnie is the best and went out of his way to help me. It was my first time bringing a vehicle in to Hyundai/Genesis of South Bay. Jack was very nice and helpful. They addressed everything I mentioned and didn’t ignore anything. It was only the 90 day service but I was pleased. The only suggestion I have and it applies to every dealership I have been to is having a quiet place for people waiting on service to sit and work. It was so noisy the day I was there I had a terrible time finding a place to sit and carry-on an important work conversations.
I made an appointment here to get my car lock fixed the other day and I just wanted to say the overall experience was really great. As soon as I arrived, I was assisted and taken care of. The waiting areas are very clean. My car was fixed in a timely manner and the service team was very helpful throughout the process. 5 stars - I would come here anytime you need service done to your car. Call in advance to make reservations.

I made an appointment for 9:00AM last Wednesday, arrived early with only two cars in front. They were unorganized running all over the place with cars taking up space in other lanes. A service agent started intake around 9:23AM and was supposed to have the car ready by 11AM, didnt get a call until 12PM. Only went in for a regular oil change, and its not the first time they have performed bad service. Last oil change they filled it with too much, definitely not coming here again. Nissan across the street does a better job for less with a free car wash. Dont expect great service for your Genesis here.
I’m a huge fan of Hyundai cars. I’m so happy I happened to drop by South Bay Hyundai. I needed a car to resume from remote work schedule back to physically returning to the work place. I had time on my side and was curious about my available options for a new car. I never had any intention of leasing a new car but I did. James Lee was professional and courteous beyond my expectations. He gave me space and time to decide all my options without hovering over me unlike my last experience from another dealership.I test drove few cars and I am THRILLED with my new Limited Kona. It’s compact yet roomy enough for all my needs. It’s so fun to drive and has all the options I wanted and more. Needless to say we leased two Kona from South Bay Hyundai… gas and EV all within a month.For the best experience without feeling pressured or attitude, I can’t recommend more than South Bay Hyundai. The sales manager, Steven Suh is extremely knowledgeable and he and James Lee collaborated in the end to get me in the car that I’m very happy with.I can’t wait to renew both my cars and get to work with James again. Great experience working with Sheek and the South Bay team. They were straightforward, and we were in-and-out quickly. Right now, its really tough to buy a car, but they made it feel easy. Its a smaller dealership, but we loved the feel. I was 8 months pregnant at the time we bought the car, and they made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. Couldnt ask for anything more!
There was no organization to check people in for the service department. The people working in the service department were very nice. Even though I had an appointment, my car took 6 hours instead of 3 as estimated. And nobody called me to let me know it was going to take alot longer.
We live in Studio City, and there are few Genesis dealers in Valley area. But we decided to drive down to South Bay to check out new Genesis due to good reviews. Well I was pleasantly greeted by Daniel (salesman) and they had very good selections of GV80 and GV70s. We decided to go with GV80 and purchased on same day. Daniel was very helpful and we were very happy with the car. By the way we traded our 2014 MBZ E350 as a down payment for Genesis GV80 purchase. The new car is amazing and had a wonderful experience with Daniel at South Bay Hyundai.
I had such a great experience buying a used vehicle (for my wife) from them in February that I came back yesterday to purchase one for myself. Sheikh was the salesman and he was very helpful. Theyre nice and friendly, not pushy at all. I sent an email asking about a car and Alejandra replied quickly. Richard had the Sonata nice and ready for a test drive when I pulled up 30 minutes later. Whole process took less than 3 hours. I am very satisfied and I highly recommend South Bay Hyundai.
I made an appointment the day before and was told I’d be working with Mace. When I arrived for my appointment, Mace was not there so I worked with Kevin instead.I decide on the vehicle I wanted and we start the trade in process with my current vehicle. I looked up the trade-in value on THEIR website the night before, but their offer on my vehicle was several thousands of dollars off from the actual value of my car. Kevin recommends we go down the street to CarMax and see what they could offer me. He said if I sold my vehicle to them, that he would come pick us up from CarMax and bring us back to the dealership so I wouldn’t have to Uber. We agree.I ended up selling my vehicle to CarMax for the actual value of my car and proceed to text Kevin. No response after 20 minutes so I attempt to call. No answer. So I call the dealership and explain that Kevin told us he’d give us a ride back to the dealership so they transferred my call to his work line. No response. After an hour of trying, I finally get a response saying he’ll be there in 15 minutes. Another hour went by! When I called the dealership to complain, I was informed that Kevin had forgotten about us and started working with another person that had walked into the dealership! We waited for 2 hours!We eventually get a ride back the dealership. At this point I’m very upset. I was still required to work with Kevin which I wasn’t happy about. I started the financial paperwork and Kevin told me that by the time I finished with the paperwork, my new car would be washed and detailed. It wasn’t. I arrived at 10:45 for my appointment and didn’t leave there until after 6pm because I wasn’t forgotten about for 2 hours and car wasn’t even cleaned! Unbelievable.I LOVE my new car, but my experience at this dealership was beyond unprofessional. I wrote this review 2 weeks ago and was contacted by Kevin asking me to remove it and they would make things right. They haven’t, so my review went back up. Do not go to this location. Go to the Cerritos location instead! I’ve sent a few friends to the Cerritos location and they were treated wonderfully!

I made an appointment with Donnie a member of the Service Department to have routine maintenance performed on my Genesis G90. Upon arrival, I was promptly checked-in and Donnie informed me that he would do his best to have the work completed within 90 minutes. True to his words, my car was ready on time. This dealership clearly shows their efforts in having courteous, friendly and dependable staff.
1st thing I want to say, make a appointment online. I arrived about half an hour early For my appointment Where Jeremy wrote up my work order. I was told it should take about 2 hours for the service, but with the 90 minutes they had my car ready. As I was paying my bill Jeremy offered a free car wash . I fully recommend South Honda as they were Friendly fast and complete service. Excellent service.

Had a great experience at South Bay Hyundai purchasing a new vehicle. Originally made an appointment to go in for a used car, but my sales person Christian went above and beyond to get me into a new car.I loved that when I went online to check out what type of car I was interested in, South Bay Hyundais website had so much information about the vehicle, which was so nice!! They showed the listing price of the car, a promotion and an estimate of what monthly payments would be. Not all other locations did this, which as a customer is a huge turnoff that they dont! From a customers point, not listing the price and every detail makes me think they would be hiding something or just using a sales tactic to have to call the dealer. I avoided all those dealers for that purpose. I dont want to be lured in, I want HONESTY up front and thats exactly what you will get at South Bays Hyundai.Parking was easy, the appointment set up was easy, not to mention I was late and they still saw myself that morning and the entire sales experience was easy with my sales person Christian. Would recommend asking for him when you go in. He listed to exactly what I wanted in a car and even though I went in with the idea of get a used car, he helped get me into a new car, with all the upgraded technology, my last car I loved it, but it was on dial up and the color and seat warmers! I had a quick and easy experience with this dealership. I had contacted various dealers and everyone was giving me the run around. Every dealer I contacted wanted me to come in without giving me any real information. I contacted this dealer via email and received a quick response from Steven. I told him exactly what I wanted to accomplish and it was the fastest car buying experience Ive ever had. I did everything online, set an appointment same day and was in and out. He also had very good knowledge of the car and despite weeks of looking up the car prior to buying, I was still surprised to learn more about it.

Attempted to return my lease here today. Decided to buy my existing vehicle because all there cars had useless $6,000 dollar markups. Nothing could be purchased at advertised prices.When buying out my lease they tried to add $2,000 to my residual. I actually called Hyundai Finance and they condoned it. Wow! Maybe legal, but hardly ethical. All I can say is I will buy this car directly on line, and will seek out an independent mechanic. Never will give this dealership another dime!
This is my second time visiting this location and its been a wonderful experience both times. The location I bought my car from shut down without any notice and I had to find an alternate location which I am pleased I went with southbay Hyundai! The staff is very nice and this time my oil change was done quicker than I expected plus neither time did they suggest unnecessary services which is a lot more than I can say for my previous place I went to. I went to a few Genesis service centers, but I couldnt get any service from them. But I was finally able to get the maintenance service here. As a premium brand, This service center have provided a good service with detailed explanation. They were very kind, and gave me a car wash service.
If you like to have your car sit in a shop for weeks on end, and blow $160, South Bay Hyundai may be the place for you. Included in your visit: an unreliable diagnostic, weeks of waiting for estimates, and absolutely no direct contact with your mechanic/technician. And if you would like to request another service be done at your own expense, such as changing the transmission fluid, they may give you a professional response saying Since the bumper has enough significant damage, the mechanic does not feel safe working on the transmission. Yet somehow, miraculously, inform you that you need a NEW transmission, without ever actually looking at it. Tremendous service.

They said they will not honor their own advertised pricing on their web site. Asked to speak to the manager he did not contact me. Ended up buying from Mission Hills Hyundai. Very honest and up front. No bait and switch with the excuse that there us chip shortage.
Reservations on-line is an easy process and they follow-up several times to remind you of the day and time. Once you arrive the check-in process is smooth with straight talk about what you actually need done. Jeremy has helped me twice and always goes out of the way to make sure everything is done and answers questions or pulls information to help you if the work is outside their scope. Car was ready within the estimated time, and received a voucher for the car wash down the street, which was a nice bonus.

I made appointments for each of my visits, but still waited over an hour before my car was looked at. In fact, only when I approached the service team to check on the progress of my car, did I notice that my car was being driven into the service bay to begin service.I understand delays and being short-stafffed, but no one communicated anything to me while I was waiting.I will not be returning to this location again. 3 strikes and they are out!

I took my Hyundai Sonata here for paint defect when I moved from East Coast. They inspected my car real quick and made a report. It took some time and back and forth talking to take care of the damage because it was past warranty day, despite of me taking care of this car so well, hand washing it only the whole time. But at the end they figured the issue out with Hyundai, made me bring the car in, gave me another nice ride while doing the job, and repainted the top perfectly in less than 2 days. The car looks great so far even tho haven’t driven it since because of pandemic.Special thanks to Enrique. He was very helpful and professional.

My review is for the service department. I definitely recommend South Bay Hyundai for repairs, especially if youre like me and have a bad tendency of going too long between routine services. I grew up with a mechanic in the family and had never needed to take my cars in for service until I moved here, so I wasnt sure what to expect the first time I came to South Bay Hyundai last year. However, it was definitely a positive experience, and I have been back twice since.The staff is always quick to greet me when I arrive, and anytime I have had to wait for something another staff member has come up to check if someone is helping me. They explain everything very clearly and dont pressure you into non-essential repairs (I have a window motor in my Elantra that needs fixing...eventually). I have called to ask questions about my warranty and was able to come in and get a printed copy of my cars information right away.Im taking one star off because the repairs Ive had done seem to cost much more than I expected, but I still think its worth it for the quality of the work and the service. I could also do without the multitude of post-card reminders about my service schedule.

They charged me for DMV fees after I bought my lease, and when I didn’t receive my DMV items I called and spoke with the person who works on DMV stuff who told me I shouldn’t have been charged for those. She then told me she’d cut me a check and mail it. A month and a half later, no check. Now I’ve tried calling for the last two weeks to just get an update on where that check might be and no one will return my calls. The operator writes down my number and tells me someone will be in touch. This dealership is a nightmare to deal with, run and go with anyone else. They owe me almost $300 and I can’t even get anyone to talk to me about it.

This was my very first time receiving service to my vehicle and at this location. The appointment was made online for 3pm for the 3 year complimentary maintenance ( which includes: Engine oil and oil filter changes, Tire rotations, Multi-point inspection, Hyundai Genuine Oil filters, & Hyundai Recommended Oil). I requested the oil change and tire rotation. The service member who helped me first told me that the tire rotation would be a charged while the oil change would be covered. Then he told me it was too early to do a tire rotation. I also had just had a flat tire that AAA had to replace with my spare and had asked them if they could fix it and put it back on. The service member then told me that they dont work on tires (even though they had a sign for tire center in the driveway when you pull in for service). With too many inconsistencies I felt it was best to only have them do the minimum, and so the oil change itself was smooth taking only an hour. I feel I will not use this location anymore since they are not familiar with the packages they offer. Seems it would be better for me to have services performed at Norm Reeves who sold me the vehicle.

Good deals on used cars...... there are two that Im interested in buying
Jack Kim was WONDERFUL! He was attentive and helpful from start to finish.That said, my experience was the opposite with the other employees. At least four other men saw the line of customers waiting and said NOTHING to us... not a greeting, not an apology for the wait, not a reassurance that we would be helped soon. These men were within 3 feet of us and couldnt be bothered to talk to us. Terrible customer service!!!Jack Kim should train these other men, because hes the only reason Ill be returning there!
I bought my car there and got a great deal but I only gave him three stars because whenever I try to get it serviced there its hard to get an appointment.

They have a good inventory so youll pretty much see all the trim levels of your dream car. They are very patient and if you give them a realistic number to work around, youll be driving out in your dream car. The whole experience was really amazing. Staff is very knowledgeable about the product they are selling which we might sometimes miss out in some dealerships. Great experience and 5 stars for that.
Fantastic experience getting my Kona EV serviced. I also have a Mercedes and Porsche- South Bay Hyundai gives 100% better service than the local Mercedes and Porsche dealerships. They could train the luxury service centers on how to deliver a premium experience. The service writer even greeted me with a big wave when I came to pick the car up and arranged a redcap transfer for free. The work was perfect. Only suggestion, the faculty is terrible- I would not want my wife to go there. It’s cramped, dated

Enrique in the service department is super helpful. I’ve had the best customer service experience with him. He’s patient, well-spoken, responsive, and understands customers’ pain points quickly and does his best to resolve them. I highly recommend working with Enrique at South Bay Hyundai.

The two stars are for the very friendly, personable young salesman who helped us briefly, but overall I feel they did a big bait and switch to try to get us to go in person even though they had just sold the car we were interested in. I called before making the 45 minute drive to the dealership--and had previously emailed w/out getting a response--about a very specific car. I was told that someone was looking at it at the moment so there was a chance it could be sold. I told the man on the phone that I would be by in the next hour or two and to please call me if the car was in fact sold as it was the only one I was considering. When I arrived, it turned out the car had been sold, but earlier in the day, before I even called.
I did not see the name of the service rep I dealt with. Luckily I do have his name on my receipt. His name is Raymond Chang, he knew what my vehicle needed and advised me of it. He then called when the service had been performed and I was able to get it back within just a couple of hours. Great job..
