Love this place: the staff is fast and friendly- and more importantly they are good people. I love the extra precautions they are taking to keep everyone healthy. Small town, local business you should feel really good supporting. Also, Dan and Tony are superheros. Just saying

I brought my game console in for a disc drive issue. The staff is friendly and helpful. They explained their procedure and were very transparent about pricing, even so far as to call for permission before performing further repairs and inform how much it would cost. Even though the average repair time was 3 days, I picked my console the very next day. The console is clean and runs great! Highly recommend game box for system repairs!

I came in there to trade in a collectors item expecting to get like 40$ or so, similar to GameStop. Instead they gave me 75$. The people working there seem to truly love their jobs and are super nice to everyone. This place has great items. They have all sorts of card and tabletop games. They also have lot of comic books and video games. This place is a gamer must go.

These folks are amazing. Yes, they have tons of games and systems, but its their repair skills are simply superb. They have fixed electronics of all shapes and sizes for me including Oakley Thumps and even a mini planetarium. Oh yeah, and phones too. This is the ONLY place I would go to get something repaired. Huge thumbs up for Tony and his staff!

I came in when I was 16 and had ordered a copy of Medievil 2, when I went in a week later, they still didn’t have my copy. As I was leaving the store I said “wow this store sucks” to my girlfriend, the owner then proceeded to come outside and try to fistfight me. Would not recommend shopping here, 1/10

I took my ps4 apart to clean it. 2 hours later I got it back together with an extra screw in hand. (Totally cliche I know) Then it would not turn on. Took my ps4 to Game Box. One and a half days, and $45 later my ps4 is working perfectly. Employees are super nice and knowledgeable. Thank you all so much! Oh and keep your recipe. They honor their work for 30+ days.

Sent in my 3DS for LCD and power repair. Staff was very helpful throughout the process! They also kicked in a a free frame since mine was cracked. Will trust them with any of my devices should they need repair.

Inside of store smelled like marijuana, lighting was dark, and employees locked customers inside store in effort to control pedestrian traffic despite statewide COVID restrictions being lifted. Employees were stand-offish when asked about the practice. Would not recommend.

Gave them my elite series 2 controller for joystick repair. Tech did a poor job soldering (my tech had to go back and fix their work) and didnt install all pieces back on controller when final reassembly took place. M tech also said they juat unsoldered and resoldered the sticks, no cleaning took place. I called and informed them of my missing pieces and they took down my info because that particular tech wasnt there that day and I never got a return call. Buttons are still missing to this day. They also gave me one price before dropping it off and then tried to upcharge me on pickup. Would not recommend their services!

The repair was super fast and the people on the phone were super friendly. The prices in comparison to other shops was way lower, if any of my consoles ever break i definitely am coming back to your shop!

Tried to return a system that they sold to me broken. Instead of returning the money to me they decided to steal the rest of the money in my bank. Took them a good 30 minutes or so to send the refund and another hour to send back the money they stole. Which was never returned, and i was told the only to fix their screw up was to call my bank and get the money back. Banks are ALL closed this weekend, so instead of just receiving cash, i am now broke ALL weekend. THAANKS

My Series 1 Xbox Elite controller was experiencing left analog stick drag that was driving me nuts and preventing me from playing Xbox. I called and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly right from the start. I brought my controller in for an estimate and for them to see if they could fix it. A few days later, they called and said they could have it done by the end of the day for a GREAT price. Much less than what I was quoted elsewhere. Quality work for a great price and efficient. Very impressed, well worth the 30 minute drive. Will be back for sure.

I sent in my 3Ds for a LCD repair it’s been 10 days now and I still haven’t gotten it back but what’s funny is looking at all these reviews they are fixing others stuff in a day while mine Is still there I’m highly disappointed on how incompetent and unreliable they have been

Tried to go look at some games today and they don’t let people in store. They’ll bring you what your looking for to the door. Well how do you bring all the vintage video games to the door? I never know what I’m looking for in old games and your never know what they even have.

Tony was amazing, he replaced my iPhone home button in fifteen minutes, at minimal cost, after Staples (Cooks Corner) had broken it while replacing a screen. Do not go to Staples for repairs!! Game Box is the best.

If Game Box and GameStop had a money match, Game Box would kill GameStop in seconds even though the ref tried to hold Game Box back. Violence is never the answer but Game Box is the superior brand

I absolutely love this store, and go there for just about everything regardless of price. They have great hours and low employee turnover so you can develop relationships with the staff. They are incredibly good at feeling out your nerdiness...matching your enthusiasm but never going overboard.I had them special order a board game for me once, and I didnt step foot in the building for a year. When I did, the game was sitting on the desk waiting for me and they didnt care at all. If I was a small game store owner and a customer left me hanging for a year, I would have been pissedIve had my phone repaired there several times. Always perfect and super prompt. I have bought five used game systems from them, all at or below the best price I could find online.Bottom line, I cant imagine a better gaming store and am thrilled we have a resource like this in Maine.

I went to Game Box today for a minor repair to my iPhone (part of my phone charger got stuck in the phone). The worker was friendly, fixed my phone fast, and didn’t charge me for it! I recommend this store to anyone in need of a phone repair.

Its decent. Some stuff is overpriced, like PS1 and certain PS3 stuff. You can get some of the exact same games for half the price or less at GameStop, but some of them are a bit cheaper. There are no great deals here unfortunately.

Best place for nerds of all breeds. From TCGs, to comics and video games. This is heaven. Staff here know their stuff, and are the nicest people in the business. Store goes above and beyond with phone/tablet repairs by fixing cheaper, AND giving you a warranty on the repair(s). They hold TCG/CCG tournaments fairly often. Top notch. Plus, great conversationalists on the best snacking spots in the area. Only complaint is that they sell out of stuff that I like pretty often, but its not enough to remove a star.

Have used several times for tablet and phone repair to great satisfaction, I have already recommended then to several friends. I often buy DND dice here. Great store! However. I once asked the counter staff for a PS3 to HDMI cord and they just handed me a box and rang me up. Comic book staff should be ready to correct/make fun of that.

Game Box Video Games & Comics in Topsham Maine hosted a Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game group I managed to organize. We played this past Sunday in the play room at the back of the store. The staff helped set up the tables and were friendly and helpful. We had a great time, and plan to game there again.

I went in there Thursday may 30, 2019 to get an xbox 1 original that my fiance just bought from a person online looked at and possibly fixed. To bad there was a problem with it. I spent a good half hour in the store talking with one of the female employees and she explained a few things about some of the xbox 1 systems they sell. I ending up buying one from them. They have great friendly staff and are very knowledgable about xbox and playstations. I was very happy to see some old game I can never find a what I believe to be very reasonable price. I was alo very happy to find out that they fix phones tablets and game systems before that day I had no clue. I plan from now on this is going to be one of my new go to places for games.

Amazing game store run by awesome and talented staff, helmed by a very well qualified gentleman who goes by the name of Tony. They cary not only video games and comic books but also role playing games, miniatures for a wide variety of games, paint and a massive horde of kitschy collectables for every nerds taste. Come on out to the Topsham Fair Mall in Topsham Maine, you wont be disappointed.

Over priced rip off joint. Save your money and get whatever youre looking for at Wal-Mart. These clowns at game stop take the new sealed games out of the packages and mix them in with the used games. Plus my son it new sealed in the package games at Wal-Mart for about 30 bucks less than game stop.

I went here with my kids to look for ps4 gear. we walked in and one worker greeted us and then walked out back.. The female was checking out a customer and asked another person to help me. This guy didnt really know his stuff so i will not go back there.

Wasn’t sure if I should rate a 3 or 4, I probably would have gone 3.5 if that was an option so I decided to round up. This is a great place for tabletop/card games, whether you’re looking for party games or sustained multi-session role playing games. The selection of comics is also pretty diverse although they don’t tend to get a ton of copies in outside of a few major titles and from my experience, reserving via pull list isn’t a great option as they are usually short ok copies or simply forget to pull all your titles. The staff is hit or miss as well; I won’t put specific names in here but some of them are super helpful and cheery, always willing to talk about nerdy stuff whether it’s gaming, comics or movies related, while others almost seem put out by the fact that you’re there. I always hesitate to give business to a shop that acts like I’m an inconvenience when I’m there, especially when I’m trying to be friendly and have no complaints that I’ve brought up. The final piece of their business is phone and game console repairs, but I can’t say that I’ve experienced this first hand. From others I’ve watched in the store, it seems their prices are a bit steep, but this is second and third hand info so take that with a grain of salt. Overall a decent option for comics and games, and depending on the day you could also find a fun conversation as well.

I had a ps4 related issue. The team at Gamebox repair my console less then 24hrs with a fair price. They seem extremely knowledgeable and they know there gaming. The services and support was above what I was expecting. Thanks guys for everything!
