Go anywhere else, like stormont vail west. very unprofessional. hopefully felicia is gone. she was the rudest person ever and very unhelpful. should not be working anywhere near people.
When I call in I can easily get connected and reschedule appointments. I was able to get a case worker, med person, and therapy all in one place and they have been a pleasure to work with
I decided to go to Valeo for anxiety about a month ago. So far, Valeo has been great to me. They take walk ins for intake, which is really nice. I got set up with medication and therapy quickly and affordably (I dont have insurance). Staff has always been nice and helpful. In just a month, I feel like progress has been made. I also found out that they have primary care doctors in the facility for their clients/patients for also a reasonable price.
I had a wonderful experience with the staff here. Rhobbie was so kind and Sheri the front desk receptionist on 6th was so wonderful and kind too. Dennis Tenpenny always said hi to me and made me feel welcomed. Mandy Griffin helped me with my guitar playing and she even helped me write a song. It is a great place
I have been a patient here for around 2 years now, and I have recieved a lot of help with my MDD and anxiety issues. Parker, the counselor I saw, was very pleasant and you could tell he sincerely cared and wanted to help me. I would love to give them a full 5 stars, but my only annoyance with Valeo is that with COVID going on, I had to do telecalls, and I was never sent a bill for these, and now Im flustered trying to pay a 400 dollar bill. I am thinking of coming back and possibly getting on medication, and I sincerely hope this issue doesnt hinder that.
Fully incompetent staff, completely unhelpful and unprofessional. They couldnt keep patients from residential area out of the reception area. Then had the audacity to hand me a printout with emojis on it. No wonder 30% of Topeka suffers from undiagnosed mental issues.
This place is not what its cracked up to be. Kind of a joke Money hungry is all I saw. Wish I could give it no stars. Reception staff are about as pleasant as a wet cloth. Rude doesnt even describe the 2 women I saw and how they treated clients. Not to mention the HIPAA violations I saw. Asking clients personal information over the counter making them feel uncomfortable in an already uncomfortable situation is really uncalled for. I felt bad for those I saw.
If you really need help, go somewhere else. It’s been a month since I initially tried to get help and still have got any medication even though I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and possibly ADHD. One of the therapists literally said which one do you want to focus on. Like I had to choose which mental illness I wanted to get treated for. It’s been over a month and I still have not received any medication. I went to crisis and left after waiting 30 minutes with no help. If you really need help go to the emergency room. I also called the crisis line and she was no help. They act like they don’t care.
The housing cases Ive used lacked proper protection from abuse and the employment services function but distribute several character defects, such as an Im already employed psych complex. Ive been attempting services through these people for 5 years, and managed to get incarcerated on an almost 11 month basis consecutively from the start. Syndromatic... and catatonic.
If one can work your issues out your self, if you go here youll get worse trust me I know, Ive been gone from there 4 years and learned to deal with my issues and use my support system my friends, and not valeo for Everytime I tried them I ended up worse, get out whal you can learn to be self sufficient and take care of yourself with the help of friends not rude people or druggs that turn you into a zombie
This review is about the pharmacy only! Holy cow these folks dont seem to care or have any type of knowledge. My husband has been getting medications here for almost 3 years. There have been numerous issues with the actual meds, getting prescriptions refilled and billing. The most recent issue, got a statement saying we owed money for meds filled and picked up on 12/20. However meds were not picked up until 1/3 (and paid for). When I called the lady I spoke with couldnt have cared less about talking to me. She claims that he must have picked up the meds wrote a check and it was returned. My husband hasnt written a check for over 10 years. But then she saw that the account was taken care of on 1/3. Kicker of the deal, the statement wasnt mailed out until 1/9.Please tell me why you would mail out a statement saying someone owes money when the account was at a $0 for a week?!?!This place makes me really worry for its patients!!
When I went in they were very nice and helpful. They have a lot of resources to help you with and they go above and beyond for their clients. Thank you Valeo Crisis House for helping me in a time of need.
Apparently this place thinks it’s perfectly okay to instead of telling the ADULT who gets their so called help to call their parent and make an appointment instead when said patently no longer and never did have the authority to do so and never inform the actual person getting treatment about it. If your not talking to me then DONT GIVE ANYONE INFO. Also the ways in which you must get an appointment are insane not everyone can be up that early and some people need their medication and cannot afford to wait.
This has the most absurd policy for making appointments. i believe the staff think it is a normal procedure to have a walk-in clinic but it is not from my experience nor most people ive asked. it is not clearly explained and then when you do walk-in, there are no appointments available so you have to come back the next day. Finally after coming in 2 days, an appointment was made with my son for the following week. This was after multiple phone calls, 2 walk-in visits and paperwork. I was told this was due to a previous 90% no-show rate. i find that incredibly high. i am hoping the experience gets better from this point on once my son has his first initial visit. No regular working person has time to walk-in to a clinic and wait hoping to get an appointment day after day.
Their Policy for scheduling appointments is that they wont. You have to call first thing 8 AM and appointments fill up crazy fast. It is hard to comply with these people if you have a normal life and employment. They expect to deal with people who have unlimited time to jump through their hoops. There is a very Welfare feel to the place. Depressing as Hell. They will tell you that they want you to collaborate on your care, but they wont listen to anything that you tell them.
The person who handles intake calls here is rude. I asked if i would be more likely to get an appointment by calling or walking in and she literally said, maam I told you this is a WALK IN clinic which means you have absolutely no chance of getting an appointment by phone. I understand you might get asked this question a lot but this is a mental health clinic. Dont act like everyone who calls is in the right frame of mind 😂 Also, from past experience its nearly impossible to get a medication refill because theyve implemented first come first served appointment scheduling and 10 minutes after they open there arent any left.
Crisis prevention team, isnt really helpful, the crisi line is useless they hangup on you. I dont reccomend going here, youre probably better off getting mental health help and advice from a local tweaker.
Quite often have i called two minutes after 8am to get an appointment for the next day only to be told all the appointments are filled for the day and ill have to call tomorrow. they say clearly that there are openings friday for example on wednesday, but they wont even try to schedule anything until the next day. scheduling appointments is a constant battle of whose the fastest and if youre not in before 8:02, sorry honey! no appointment for you! back in the day they would hand you a card at your appointment telling you when to come in next. what, honestly, was wrong with that system? this place is a disaster and has caused me much grief just trying to refill my medication.
Dont do business with this place unless its your very last option because the way I was treated by my medication provides was very unprofessional. Its like they didnt even care that I was suffering and in need of better meds than the ones they had gave me because none of them even helped what so ever. I expressed this to my meds provider and she ignored me. I felt very disrespected ...
I’m giving this place a three star only because I know for a fact that this place gets a bad rep. Tbh getting an appointment here is pretty tough. But once you are in it’s really not that bad of service. It all depends on who you get. This is a place for people that are down on there luck for the most part. So yes they do have strict rules and strict guidelines. I do believe and know from personal experience though that they do the most good for what they have. I’m recovering alcoholic/addict who has done the in paitient and out paitient treatment program from this place. Honestly it was one of the best places I went to for it. They thing is you have to be willing to actually do what they suggest otherwise you will not see the results you desire. I also go here for my meds. This is where the hard part lies. As I previously stated this is a place for most people that are down on there luck. Meaning that yes they actually have a huge waiting list. So if and when you get in make sure you get all the information and help that is available to you while you are there. They want to help you. Their are good people here. Just do what they suggest and be paitient and you’ll find that they will go beyond there expectations for you.
I wish I could give this place negative stars. A joke. The trainee therapists think they know everything and will misdiagnose trauma for actual mental illness. Dont let them in your head.
Absolutely Ridiculous. You get so many different stories from these folks. Trying to get meds of any kind is such a hassle. I have no insurance. I have no job. They are not willing to help the people who need help. One person tells you one thing, you go to do that one thing, and then someone else says you have to do this, instead. If I wasnt in need of such assistance, I would not be wasting my time with people who dont truly care about your mental-health.
After I was treated as I was over the years I left all mental health services never to return again, I would rather deal with my stuff alone than with help, I go through times when I isolate at home for 1-3 weeks at a time I dont go outside, I have been diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic, and here lately I cant go in public settings for I feel very uncomfortable around people, I was given the run around a lot at this place no one took responsibility for there actions and fibbed to me just to get there way, including making my symptoms appear to Dr worse than they were, I will never trust or go to this or any other place like this again, I have a few friends that help now and thats all I will allow to help me, I moved out of this places grasp, I had to, to save myself, if you can in any way manage on your own do it or move away, I swore after October of 2015 that I wouldnt allow them to do me as they did, I said it to a CIT person & they thought I was kidding but I was very serious, anyway do what you can to not have to deal with them.
Tonyi l irwin. Loved.
They are not to bad
On my way to this place..ugg
Staff can be bad
