I couldnt remember if I had wrote a review. So its time too again. When I first found western Hills I needed a specific Kennel cough preventative and they had it and were willing to see me that day. Dr Fischer was there on his day off. First off it was calm. lol Our other vet would have 5 patients in the front room and a lot of times the interaction between pets wasnt friendly. The staff was friendly, Dr Fischer is always cheery, Lisa is Great too and very knowledgeable, and my Dogs get great care period. So we will continue to bring our pets back for regular exams and emergencies if needed.Mike Walter

I can’t say enough that is positive about Western Hills Vet. Clinic. We had a very sad and abrupt happening in December with our pet. We weren’t even established patients and they allowed us to rush in with her and the situation was treated with such kindness and compassion. Now we are raising a kitten and are so happy he is receiving care from Dr. Fischer and his staff. They are absolutely wonderful!

Everything was fine, I would have liked to be able to come inside with my pet, but I understand in these times many places are still limiting that. I enjoyed meeting the gal that came outside to greet me and do the intake, and it was also nice getting to meet the doctor and visiting with him. Western Hills is the best clinic I have ever been to. The nurses and doctor are very tentative to your fur babies and you. Western Hills makes sure your fur babies always come first. The nurses and doctor are very friendly and comforting to you when you lose one of your fur babies. I have lost two, and they made sure I spent as much time as I needed to bring myself together and make sure I could make it home safely.Im proud my fur babies and family are a part of the Western Hills family.

It is fantastic, especially when Ellie gets excited when she notices where we are going.

We were very happy with how our little Molly was treated and loved her grooming. When we took her it was still wait in the car and they came and took her in. Same when we picked her up. We paid and I put extra for a tip but didnt say that, when they brought Molly out she said we paid to much, I told her it was a tip. I was impressed with that with the honesty.

Oh my goodness. I just had the best experience with Dr. Fisher and his staff. It was the most thorough exam weve ever had. Dr. Fisher is kind, gentle and very caring. I have a blind Beagle that Im overly concerned about and love dearly. Ive never seen a veterinarian that seems to love animals more. He took his time and also complimented his staff. I had called this vet clinic on June 16th to see if they could treat my new puppy had found out the day before from the emergency vet that he had parvo and needed to be hospitalized this vet office refused to even take my dog in to treat him telling me that the last parvo dog they had cost the owner 4,000 and the dog died and how he didnt have time to deal with my dog. I just want them to know thanks to Stonehouse animal clinic who took my puppy in he is now in full recovery for parvo there is no way after having that kind of attitude about pets I would ever take any of my pets there

Long story short, due to covid some vets aren’t accepting new patients so I had my young daughter call around to find somewhere to treat my 4mo pup with parvo (overnight emergency care). When she called and the man asked if our pup had shots. Which we hadn’t gotten around to because the whole covid, he started harassing her about it. Never answering if he could treat our pup. He goes on to harass her for not getting the puppy shots and states our pup will probably die. Still never answered if he could treat the pup. He’s now got my daughter in a panic and she is still (respectfully) trying to ask if he will treat our pup. He then goes on to say that if we have other dogs they probably haven’t had their shots and they’ll get infected and die too. (They all have their shots). Then goes on to explain how at his old age he doesn’t want to wake up at 2 and 3 in the morning to have to check on our pup. After harassing my daughter the entire phone call he ends it with “I’m not taking any new patients and you should take your money elsewhere”. I would NEVER recommend.. I’m very upset that a grown man had the nerve to harass and bully my underage daughter who just wants to save our pup. Save your money!

I took my Chihuahua in for her first visit today. Im changing vets, and saw all the wonderful reviews, so took a chance. Im so glad I did. We started with a nail trim. My girl isnt fond of nail trimming, and is usually very nervous and a bit nippy. Dr. Larry came in, got down on her level, and took the time to talk to her. I was amazed at her reaction, more accurately, her non-reaction. He put her at ease. She wasnt nervous or rude at all. She took to him and Rachel immediately. He spent time with me as well, asking about my dogs history, etc. This is my new vet clinic! I look forward to bringing my girl back for teeth cleaning and regular maintenance care. Only thing is I told Dr Larry he couldnt retire anytime soon!!! ;-)I will recommend this vet clinic to all my friends.

Dr. Fischer and staff have cared for our doggos for several years now. Their kind, professional service is so appreciated!

The staff was friendly and treated my fur baby wonderfully. However, there were many communication mix ups. The price I was told changed significantly and I was told I could pick my baby up at 4 the day I dropped him off but then when I went to drop him off I was told he would be staying overnight. Other than these miscommunications it was an overall good experience.

What a wonderful place to bring my babygirl. everyone was so polite and professional. I will be bringing her and our other pups in for shots and checkups. We have been going to the same vet for over 10 yrs and I am excited to find someone who is as good as them in our new area. Thank you for everything.

Betty is my Winnies groomer and always does an amazing job ! I tried several places before Betty and never felt the comfort leaving her in their care so this has been a relief to find someone I trust with her as its stressful for me as well as Winnie . I do pay more than at the other places but its worth it to know shes in good hands . She definitely cares for yhe dogs that she takes care of and I appreciate that ! I referred my niece to her and she uses another groomer here and loves the service she gets with her as well .

Our lab, Peony, had to have an emergency surgery. Western Hills gave her loving care, texted a photo update to keep us informed, encouraged our visits, and it was obvious that the vets and support staff love what they do!

Wonderful staff. All of are needs were met. We go back in two weeks for a puppy booster. See ya then 😀

Ive been taking my pets to Dr. Fischer for twenty-seven years now, starting with Baby the cat in 1989, and including the cats Tobermory, The Road Warrior, Vladimir, and Atilla.When I found a stray dog in 2010 she was boarded for free while I tried to find the owner. I ended up adopting her myself, and on her death I got Nathan the dog.Care for all these animals couldnt have been better. Im glad I visited Dr. Fischer in 1989, when I returned to Topeka.

We have taken our dog to Dr. Fischer for 5 years. We have been very pleased with him and Western Hills Vet. Dr. Fischer always takes the time to thoroughly explain what he is doing and why he is doing it. All of the staff is very personable and make you feel comfortable taking your pet there. We just happened to take our dog there when we moved to Topeka and I am so glad we did!
