Phenomenal place to have your dream hair done bit on the pricey side but absolutely worth it!

Modern, clean, on time, professional. Very lovely staff, and talented stylists. I appreciate their work how they listened to me, instead of just doing their own thing. It was nice to have them help me through a terrible salon experience and make me feel like myself again. You are amazing :) I will continue to go here and grow out my hair to what it used to be.

Ashley saved my hair. I had someone do it previously who did not do what I asked at all and it came out horribly. Ashley corrected it and did exactly what I asked for and more. I couldn’t believe the difference in my hair. I got a beautiful boliage job and she did it perfectly. I will never go to anyone else. If anyone is looking to color correct (or color the right way in the first place) Ashley is definitely the person I would go to. Thank you Ashley and Sniptease. Now I’m not embarrassed to go out in public. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I was there for a test strand DONE BY JOEI. I waited for about 20 minutes which was okay, but nobody was there to pick up any incoming phone calls until I left which was unprofessional. I sat down with JOEI and wasn’t given any enthusiasm. I have split dye hair I wanted all blonde and had some bleeding on that part. Not only was she just awkward, but she dyed the once blonde (now light grey because of accidental bleeding) BLACK. She shrugged at every idea I had for my hair and seemed like she didn’t even want to work. I only wanted a test strand done and came out with uneven split dye hair. I went back to my old stylist out of my way to have this fixed with the hair I want. Absolutely awful.

I go here every 2 weeks! They have died..cut.and even done my I tip hair extentions. The staff is verry friendly and OMG the shop is absolutely beautiful.They are sooo organized. I get text and email reminders for appointments and such. They have a receptionist who even calls you for a check up before your next apt.My hair stylist is jamie lands (GOTO HER!!)She has been nothing but informative and helpful in my hair journey. She actually tells me the truth and wont do thing to harm my hair (even when im persistent lol) she always helps me figure it out. I look forward to this next look we are working on!!!!

This was the first time Ive went to Sniptense of cousre I was nervous not knowing who, was who so I went on Google read some reviews an i didnt care who they put me with cuz the reviews were Great !! So I called not only did they accommodate me with same day service within an hour!!! That made me even happier cuz with convid no body is doing same day service an that made my day cuz i happen to be in the area waiting for my husband to finish getting his tattoo so it was prefect ....When I got to the salon everyone was very friendly Rob at the front desk os Great an has such a bubbly personality it lights up the place an Sniptense is very clean an comfortable atmosphere but Rob just makes it even brighter...I was patiently waiting but only 5 mins for Paige to tell me she will be helping me She was very welcoming an friendly made me feel very comfortable with her i love that about her, Paige, ROCKs WITH HER AWESOME PERSONALITY!!!!And with how she Rock her hair I love it most of all she keeps it REAL !!! THANKS SO MUCH PAIGE FOR MALING ME FEEL GREAT DURIG MY APPT !! Paige did my hair exactly the way I wanted it !! I love her she listen to what I was asking an did it!! This is the WORST salon I have ever been to in my ENTIRE LIFE. (I APLOGIZE FOR THE LONG POST BUT IT’S A MUST READ) BEWARE!! I am not one to complain EVER. I came to this salon specifically for extension and color. I had a consultation, and I was assured by the owner JOEI who not to mention has NO PERSONALITY that she could achieve what I wanted which was platinum blonde/white with dark brown which is my root color. I showed JOEI the pictures a ton of times. My hair was already blonde. JOEI said we had to color the hair first to make it lighter. Before agreeing I asked to make sure it would be the color I wanted and was told yes. I came in for the color and left with GOLD hair $500 later. My hair looked NOTHING like the picture. I called in not happy about it & came back in and was told one the extensions were put in you wouldn’t see the hair bc extensions cover the majority. Well rest assured the extension came out looking HORRIBLE. My hair was like 4 different colors, the extensions did not match my hair it was AWFUL. I was told to come back in to “fix” it. I was so unhappy with the result and knew JOEI would not be able to fix this. She assured me no worries it would look better if we ordered MORE hair. I trusted her and more money and more hair put in and IT WAS STILL AWFUL. I then just asked to just dye my hair all brown/black and have the extensions the white/platinum color. JOEI died the majority of my extensions black which is NOT what I asked for. This “fix” cost me another $500. I complained to the front but JOEI couldn’t even come downstairs and talk to her client!! Talk about unprofessional. You should not be charged for the salons MESS UP. I had to go brown I had no other choice the hair was freakin awful. I was instructed to wash my hair with purple shampoo once a week. After my first wash my hair turned PURPLE bright purple. The salon told me don’t worry it will wash out. It took a LONG time. AFTER THIS, my hair is GREY like the black bled into the blonde. ONE WASH AND HAIR WAS RUINED AND AWFUL. The hair LOOKS awful not to mention DAMAGED. I also want to mention I had extensions before and I NEVER had any issues or ever LOST a piece of hair out of my head. After one week of having my extensions I started losing them one by one. JOEI wouldn’t even face me and had another girl try to put the extensions back in my head. This place and OWNER is so unprofessional. After spending atleast $3,000 on hair EXTENSIONS AND ALL THE TIMES I WAS CHARGED TO “FIX” MY HAIR I expect my hair to be PERFECT. I also do not expect my hair to be falling out of my head!! I have never seen anything like this in my LIFE. All this money went right out the window I am sick to my stomach. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HAIR SALON TO MY WORST ENEMY. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE YOU WILL BE SORRY!! IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!

First time customer and I had Chrissy. She did a wonderful job getting my quarantine hair back to normal and took the extra time to make it perfect. Reasonably priced salon and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. Will definitely be going back.

I am so excited that I found this salon. I was looking for a new place for hair extensions and I called for a consultation and I was lucky enough to get Ashley. She is awesome! My new extensions look beautiful and she was spot on with the color. My hair looks so natural and I am so happy with the results. Also, all the staff are super friendly and the salon is beautiful. I work within ten minutes of Sniptease and found enough positive reviews to be an educated consumer. I was on my 30 minute lunch break and stopped in to make an appointment. The girl at the front desk not sure of her name (she did have some fun green hair) was helping a less than pleasant customer while I was there. She handled her incredibly well, not to mention did not pass any of her frustration onto me as the next person she spoke to. For that, I salute her. I had no idea what I wanted done, all I knew was that I needed a consultation before anything! I was asked to fill out a new client paper with some general information about myself. At this point, I needed to get back to work. I was told by super nice green hair girl to come back right after work. Once I arrived at about 4:40 pm, I was greeted by Jessica. She was statuesque with perfect hair and a welcoming smile. I sat in her chair and told her my story. She could have easily sold me on hundreds of dollars worth the services that probably would have looked amazing. But, she didnt. Instead of suggesting foils and toners that would have kept me coming back every couple of weeks, she suggested two things; time and patience. I sat with this no longer complete stranger for 45 minutes. She talked with me like a friend instead of a judgmental stylist looking for a huge payday.I walked out of the salon last night with an appointment for a haircut that I am actually looking forward to and a bottle of clarifying shampoo. So, as this isnt a review of an actual service YET, it is a review of the salon and experience. Give this place a try. You might just find that their kindness and attitudes towards their clients is the dose of what you need!

Sneh was my stylist and she did a fantastic job. I had a bad experience this summer where a stylist was so busy talking to another client that she cut nearly three inches off without even asking me how much length I wanted to keep. I waited nearly a year before attempting another cut.Sneh understood how important length was to me, and listened to my needs. She focused most of the cuts on putting my layers back in and only took a touch off the bottom.I not only enjoyed my experience at Sniptease, I loved the atmosphere, including some fierce punk girls working the salon. There was a harmony of different looks and expressions in both employees and clients. I loved it and would recommend the salon to anyone.

Very disappointed with this salon. Went in as a first time customer after seeing the work they produced on Instagram. Had to make a consultation appointment before getting it colored which I thought was odd but with the Covid restrictions I figured this was there new system. After arriving for my appointment time i apologized to the front desk for being a little early (about 20 minutes before my appointment) one of the hairstylist in the lobby then made an insulting joke about it and walked away. Through out the rest of the appointment my stylist seemed to be distracted and in a rush to get done with my hair since I was her last client of the night and she was talking about her “plans” to another stylist. And In her doing so my hair suffered for it! I went in for a blonde balayage and in turn received a terrible dye job that is patchy and not blonde but gray. Best part was my hair was already blonde just needed to be re-toned and the blonde brought back up to the roots a little. Not to mention I payed a fortune for my hair to be gray! So disappointed I would not recommend this salon if you are looking for a GOOD color job.

Sniptease has moved across the street to a much bigger salon in order to accommodate the large amount of clients they have. I promise you will find no other salon (& Ive been to dozens in Ocean County) where ALL the girls are so friendly, happy & make you feel at home. They do hair styles, cuts & ANY color/colors that most places cannot achieveJoei does my hair, I talk her ear off but she listens, lol..& still always does the best job, she is the ONLY stylist/colorist that has ever got my hair to the color Ive wanted for a decade! I will be back soon, just scared to leave house from pandemic.

Ive lived in the area for about 7 years, havent been overly impressed by many salons in area, compared to salons I used to go to up north. Came to Sniptease yesterday just for a wash and blowout, best blowout Ive got so far in the area! Thank you Jamie! Loved, loved the way my hair came out! Ill Def be back!

Ashleys has been doing my eyelash extensions for several months now and she does an awesome job. As she gets to know me better and what my lashes can handle they get better and better. I just moved to the Toms River area and I decided to book a hair cut at Snipetease. The entire experience was an absolute pleasure. Paige did my cut and I absolutely love how it turned out. I booked mid day on a busy Saturday and she still managed to devote all her energy into making each client feel like her number 1 priority. Anyone looking for a new salon should give them a call!

Nice spacious salon with talent artists. I have seen a few. My last experience was unbearable with the stylist Nicole B. Horrible attitude and I felt uncomfortable. My hair turned out just ok. Will definitely return for other stylists I have seen that are amazing with their work and their personalities. (Jessica, Paige, and Joei are phenomenal!) all in all an amazing salon but felt compelled to review to warn future clients who to see and who not to see!

When you like to go from dark hair to light hair multiple times a year, its hard to find a stylist who will deal with you. Sara is amazing at accommodating my ever changing hair colors. She never gives me a hard time and has options that wont damage my hair to the point of no return. Such a great environment, and such a lively, kind, and fun group of people to be around!

These girls are incredible. Jamie makes my hair beautiful and everyone else is friendly and engaging. Every visit is a positive experience.

Early in June, I had a Brazilian Blowout done by my stylist Mackenzie. She made sure to tell me that she very much wanted to hear from me regarding the success of the process done. Unfortunately, I had a bad result and after two weeks, I called Mackenzie to let her know; she insisted I return for a redo. Turns out that my process was unsuccessful b/c I had taken a long walk that night and my head perspires profusely. Sweat counters the ingredients of a B. Blowout. Mackenzie explained that I needed to shampoo my hair before allowing sweat to destroy the work done. Mackenzie happily did a complete new process at no additional charge to me. She also recommended shampoo and conditioner that would be helpful in extending the length of the process. I left feeling valued and delighted with my hair. It has been another two weeks since then, and my hair has remained perfect. Thank you, Mackenzie, for your professionalism and talent!

Love, love, love this salon and their entire staff. Not only are the stylists incredibly talented, but they are also incredibly kind and offer honest opinions (we all need that). My stylist Paige has worked with me to figure out what cut/color options will work best best on me, for my style, for my schedule, etc.. Its refreshing to meet such a great group of people who genuinely care about the end result of a product. I have gotten my hair done in plenty of salons, this one takes the cake. My hair was damaged and looked awful with blonde highlights I couldn’t wait to get rid of. Jessica was AMAZING! She was patient and very personable. She took hours to complete my hair and is a perfectionist. My hair came out better than I even had imagined in my own mind. She went above and beyond and all the staff was super nice! I can’t wait to go back!!!!

I go to Sniptease because, Louise who does my hair, always does it correctly. The place is always busy and fun while maintaining their professionalism. I went this last time because my daughter was getting her hair done for her wedding and thought it would be fun to have champagne and our hair done together. It took her 5 hours to do my childs hair (whose hair is extremely thick!!)and, Louise, doing mine. Needless to say, I left my daughter with the bottle and hairdresser, Cat. Both were great and I will see Louise in December... Enjoy Yourself

I initially found Snip Tease when they were in their old location through Groupon. I have thick curly hair and find it is difficult to discover people who know how to work with this kind of hair and without fail the ladies at Sniptease do. I do not get my hair colored or really anything beyond a wash and cut ever but they seem like they know what they are doing with that as well. I am a happy customer.

Jess is my stylist and I love her!! She asks what I want to do and my response is Youre the boss - whatever you decide. My sister goes to Ashley and loves her. It is a great salon and I am really looking forward to the new location up the street. If you are searching for your hair person, Sniptease is where you will find her.

I brought my daughter there 3 years ago for a color treatment then went back myself last week. I used a Groupon coupon for wash, cut, deep condition and blow dry. Jennifer really took her time with me, she evaluated my hair first while dry, explained what it would look like, went over the pros and cons of cutting it to different lengths. Because my hair is curly and thick, not many stylists have success making my hair look good. The result was nothing short of fabulous. I have found my new hair salon, and I highly recommend them to anybody looking for a professional salon.

Kim colored, highlighted, cut and styled my hair and did a fantastic job. I called for an appointment 20 minutes before I arrived and was welcomed and treated like I was their best customer. I would give Sniptease my highest recommendation.

First time customer yesterday and I had Brittany do my hair. I got a haircut, blow-dry, and deep-conditioning treatment and my hair has never felt better. Brittany was personable and accommodating (as everyone in the salon seemed to be). She styled my perfectly too which is rare when I leave a salon for me to be immediately happy with how it looks. They have a whole wall of color that I am dying to try. I absolutely will be returning in the future.

The salon itself is beautiful and the staff is so nice! The parking is kind of limited and you can hear people running around upstairs but the overall experience is great.

The service here is ok. The staff is rude and unrealistic. If you dont look like the staff, like your strung out on drugs they treat you with such disrespect. The prices are all over the place..they are not friendly. They are not professional nor portray an environment for all.

I initially went to Sniptease because I had a Groupon for them but will be returning as a regular customer because I was very satisfied with my cut, highlights and style. At first I thought I might be a little too old for the establishment because the stylists and the clientele (when I first arrived) are young, however, during my appointment I became totally relaxed and noticed other women, closer to my age and older arriving and getting cuts and it became apparent that they were regular clients! Its a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff couldnt be friendlier!

YAASS!!! I had an amazing experience at Sniptease! The front staff was extremely friendly and helpful when I booked my appointment. They paired me with the very talented Paige. I was nervous to find a new stylist after 7 years of working with 1 person. Paige made me feel comfortable and just completely rocked my hair! Shes a true artist and my blonde locks have never looked so good. I received so many compliments and cant wait to go back.

Come one! Come all! You’re invited to read this review! This review is on stylist Ashley P, as well as the owner of the salon, I only know her internet handle “joeidfox”. My wedding day started just as you’d expect; hair and makeup started rather quickly. Everything was going fine, so I thought. It wasn’t until after the girls quickly packed up and left that it was brought to my attention that Ashley had broken a piece of glass in the bridal suite. She had a heat resistant mat down that clearly didn’t work and broke the glass. Not only did it break, she never told anyone and HID IT IN A DRAWER! When I found out I told the lady I had been working with at the venue. I gave them her contact information and the salon’s. The owner of the salon said they aren’t liable because I didn’t find her through the salon. (I was given her name from another vendor). What’s funny is, the owner knew the whole time given she was in the room when it happened. Ashley refuses to answer phone calls or texts. Which means I’m liable for the piece SHE BROKE given that I had a contract with the venue. Thank goodness I didn’t use Ashley for her floral wedding business. These two lack integrity. Don’t be foolish and use their services (hair, floral arrangements, etc) or you may be paying for something you had nothing to do with!

I went into the salon with a problem with my hair. For no reason I was getting a greasy spot. Well they worked and worked using several different products and they finally got the problem solved. They were caring, professional and determined!! I was very grateful!!

Missed my haircut appointment by a half hour-totally my fault. Nicole accommodated me by rescheduling within a short period of time. She then took meticulous care in cutting my hair - an exceptional job. Thanks Nicole.

This was my first time at Sniptease and Ill definitely be coming back. Ashley did an awesome job on my cut & color. She informed me on different choices that were better for my hair in terms of the color processes and I greatly appreciate someone who is honest and educates you rather than just doing something to do it. I was nervous about using a Groupon for my hair which Ive never done before but they were awesome about it. The salon was great & everyone was friendly. I look forward to my next appt in their new location.

Sniptease is the best. All the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is great. Jamie Walls is an incredible stylist, who listens, and delivers. I highly recommend them.

Wow..Excellent... Joei did a FANTASTIC job on my daughters hair..my daughter tried to get the color out by herself and it turned yellow,pink,from red..Joei fixed it. Wow shes a true professional.A BIG thank you...finally a place that knows what to do and does it well even when you totally screw up doing it on your own..YEAH !!!!

I love all the girls at Sniptease...especially my jamie M...they are professional and fun! Every time I go its like visiting with family...but better...lol. they stand behind their work and make sure that you are completely satisfied.

I do not recommend this hair salon what so ever. For the women with the long stringy blonde hair and lips that are bigger than her body is extremely rude and disrespectful. These women do not know how to treat their clients or run a salon lol, also about a year ago when I was getting my hair done I heard them speaking very badly about their receptionest... who does that

I would love to give a five star review but my experience wasnt 100% perfect. I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding along with my bridal party. I understand we were the first wedding party to utilize their new salon. It felt as though they werent very prepared, I had booked and gave my deposit months out. Along with numerous calls leading up to my appointment that everything was good to go. I was told there would be a total of three stylist so we would be done by the time we needed too. I get to the salon and there was only two. One doing make up and one doing hair. We were not done by the time I was promised. So that was a little irritating. I was also told if we were to go with their Fabulous bridal suite the bride gets a goodie bag. As my girls and I were leaving I almost forgot but when Makenzie was asked about it she seemed as if she was confused. The goodie bag was pretty much just random stuff thrown in last minute. It definitely showed that she really didnt put any thought into it. It had a few bobby pins, a can of hairspray, cake pops that were from the suite, and a bunch of coupon cards. It took 10 minutes to receive it. I dont mean to seem ungrateful at all but I would have rather got a discount off my total bill at that point. For the makeup, I felt a little rushed on mine. They also didnt have anything for lips. When you offer makeup services you should have everything. Or at least let your customers know! With the price we were charged I feel it should have been included. For someone who barely wears makeup I didnt have any lipstick. Luckily my bridesmaid was awesome and ran to the closest CVS and picked some up for me. Needless to say, If I was rating on kindness I would give a five star review but with them not being prepared and not even sticking to the time nor was the promised amount of stylist there... I had to give three stars. With all these great reviews, I am little confused as to why my experience was so different. Good luck with your new salon, and hope the next bride has a more positive experience!

I was turned on to Sniptease by my Girlfriend who lives in South Jersey. I have been getting my hair cut by Sara - who in my book is the BEST HAIRDRESSER there is. Sara takes the time to speak with you before she does any cutting so that you are happy with the cut and that you can manage it on your own.The Salon is wonderful, all the girls are delightfull, and extremely pleasant to speak with.I cant say enough about Sniptease. I live 2 hours away in north jersey and make it down for a haircut as often as possible.Gerryann Weil
