We had an emergency with our three month old pit bull lab mix and these people would not take it seriously telling my girlfriend and myself that it would be an hour long wait after we were expressing we needed immediate attention. These people were more concerned with asking if I have been out of state in the past 14 days. 0 out of 10 recommend. We took our puppy to be treated ASAP at North Star vet in brick. Lovely vets took us in right away and helped our pup.
I highly recommend Priority Vet. They were absolutely amazing with my kitty Winston. Everyone was so kind and compassionate and I am so grateful. I also cant thank Dr. Cudia enough for his follow up phone call with advice on the next step to take in Winstons treatment. He had his bladder surgery and is recovering nicely. Thank you!!!!!!
Priority Vet was amazing! After trying to schedule a sick visit for my dog with my regular vet with no luck, 5 other local vets with no availability, then went to another ER vet with a 4-5 hour wait, I decided to go to Priority. We were in and out in 35 minutes. Everyone was super friendly and very efficient! I would highly recommend!
Darla, 6yo intact female with advanced liver disease.Brought her in to treat episode of Hepatic Encephalopathy. Dr. Juliano was very accommodating, actively listened, gave us what we needed and requested, and Darla recovered quickly. Staff was so sweet. I wish they did ongoing care!Price is extremely reasonable and fair for a regular vet visit, much less emergency care. I was pleasantly surprised at the total.I wish that we will never need emergency care again, but if we do, I will be confident that Priority Vet will provide an unmatched level of excellence in care.
Very highly recommend Priority urgent care!At a time when you may be so worried about your pet … the vets at priority vet were the best I have ever dealt with ! All wonderful, caring techs, vets and also very clean establishment . Wish all vets everyday were as efficient as they were !! Thank you from Tulip also . She feels much better
We just moved to the area and my poor bull dog juice had a terrible ear infection and no vet would see him. I showed up at priority vet and they took him with no problem! Me and my husband couldnt have been happier, no wait and the staff was the BEST!! The vet was beyond amazing with my big boy. I highly recommend this place! Cant say a bad thing about it! They care! And thats the most important quality to me!
Fortunately we found Priority Vet on a holiday when all other vets are closed. Dr Cudia and his entire staff were wonderful. Dr Cudia took the time to explain alternatives as well as surgery for my pets problem. We opted for the surgery to provide immediate relief and treatment. I cannot say enough about the wonderful care we received. I will definitely let other pet owners know about Priority Vet!
Great experience. Was able to have my pet seen almost immediately. I called at almost 10 pm and they told me to bring her right over. Highly recommend.
I brought my 1 year old pup to priority vet after noticing a large lump in her throat during the weekend. They were quick, responsive, compassionate and reasonable. I truly appreciate the service they provide and their affordability. Thank you priority vet!
I took my cat here he was so sick they did take him in right away the team there was great told me all whats going on in less then an hour did all kinds of test and was truly honest about my boy unfortunately there wasnt anything they could do for him but what a great caring staff Thank you so much for caring for our Tommy
Iam very grateful for priority vet I must of called 2 vets before calling them and both said they were booked or there would be a 4 hour wait. My French bulldog was suffering from a flare up w hives something must of bit her that shes allergic too. I called and right away they thought I was outside and they were ready to take her in. It took me 20 mins to get there but once I was there they took some information since it was my first time there and took us in no problem no wait. Staff was very friendly they were straight forward about the price and treated baby so well beyond happy w the service thank you again.
We are indebted to Priority Vet. Our dog was bleeding from an abscess and we made the trip from Beach Haven; arriving at 10:46pm. We were met with courteous and professional service; and our dog was treated until nearly 1:00am. We received a full debrief from the attending veterinarian and a follow up call the next day. We highly recommend Priority Vet.
Its always scary taking your pet to the doctor, it is an emergency and you dont know the hospital or doctor. We were out of town when our emergency happened and the doctor and staff were caring, professional and kept me in touch. I highly recommend this URGENT Care Hospital in a time of need.
Very happy with the emergency service we received for our Lab, Joe. It is so stressful when you are rushing your pet to the doctor when it is after hours. Everyone was very pleasant, from my first frantic phone call through to his release. They were quick and efficient. Peace of mind knowing this place is always available!
Waited 2 hours. After doctor saw my dog never came back to speak to me. Didnt get medication she talked about to see if my dog would be okay. Poor experience
Just left from here and I must say that I am very un happy with this place! My dog passed out and his regular vet was closed so I brought him here. When they brought me in they put me in a room checked his temp then the lady left the room and that was the last I saw from them 25 minutes go by now Im annoyed I walk out no one there, so I rang the door bell a lady came and I explained to her that we have been waiting a long time so I was leaving she said ok let me let them know.. so she told them and their response was well he was responsive so ... ok soo if they felt that he was ok why didnt they just say that and let us be on our way.. no instead they let us sit in the room and didnt have no courtesy to come in and say sorry for the wait someone will be in shortly... never again will I come here.. I will go to the one in lakewood on 70 in an emergency!
Our cat became ill on a Saturday afternoon. Our vet was closed, so we called PriorityVet and they told us to bring her in. I liked the fact that the vet spoke with me on the phone about symptoms, as well as tech. Also before anything was done to my pet, I was informed of all costs. I received follow up phone call the next day and a call from the vet with lab results. Very pleased with experience.
Priority Vet was wonderful when I had to put my dog down. I can’t thank them enough for the support, kindness, and professionalism during an extremely difficult time in my life. They were so patient and provided a soothing, peaceful environment for my family and me to say goodbye to our sweet pup. I’m grateful they were there for us when we needed them. This was my first experience with this facility and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
This was our first time coming here and the last time. Why? Only to say good bye to our 13 yr old dog. They were very understanding and tended to the need to send our beloved dog over the rainbow bridge. They gave us all the time we needed to say our tearful good byes. Would recommend them. Thank you for the paw impression too.
This was my third visit to PriorityVet (each time was for a different dog) and I was very pleased with the service we received, the professionalism and the caring for the dogs. The cost for their service is very reasonable, the vet talks to you after the initial assessment to discuss treatment options, and there is no pressure to add on costly services. Very glad we found PriorityVet as an option for emergency pet medical care.
Staff was amazing, they helped my pup and had us in and out! So thankful they were there.
Priority Vet was amazing. This was my first experience dealing with an emergency for my dog who somehow cut his chest open and required stitches. When I called, they answered on the first ring, was very attentive, had me bring my dog right over and upon my arrival came out right away, took Royce and examined him thoroughly. He was taken right away for his minor surgery of stitches, and everything was done that same night! The doctor and staff kept us informed and the pricing was reasonable. I hope I dont have anymore emergencies, but if I do, I will most certainly return to Priority Vet!
I brought my 3 year old beagle dachshund mix dog Pepper in for bloody water stool, vomiting, and being lethargic. After blood work and X-rays the vet on call that night Dr Cudia diagnosed her with an obstructed bowel. He notified garden state specialty hospital that I was being sent over cause Pepper need surgery ASAP. They gave her fluids to prevent dehydration and I was on my way. I cannot say enough about the service that my pet and I received as well as the compassion of the entire staff. I honestly believe that bringing my dog there for her to be looked at and evaluated saved her life. I would recommend this place to anyone who has an emergency with their pet and cannot get in touch with their primary veterinarian.
Quick and very friendly. They explained everything going on with my dog thoroughly and let me know what they thought should be done ASAP and what could wait to be done with my usual vet.
It is very helpful to have quality veterinary care available late in the day. The folks at Priority Vet are very caring, thorough, and capable. The only reason that I gave four stars rather than five is that during the pandemic restrictions it is necessary to sit in your car in the parking lot, sometimes for a long period of time.
Ive been to Priority Vet twice. Great Staff and fair prices. I think they are wonderful
Everyone at Priority Vet is wonderful! Dr Cudia and staff are very knowledgeable and caring. They took good care of my Labrador Smoke. Thank you.
Great experience here. Had to bring my cat in last Sunday night around 6pm. They were very courteous and helpful over the phone. I waited in my car with my cat for maybe 20 minutes. They brought her in and checked her out. Dr. Cudia called and gave me a great summary of her exam and totally put me at ease. I was home and all set within an hour. Which is great considering this was an emergency visit. The exam was a little pricey but I think that is the norm with any emergency vet office. Overall, really great experience and team working there.
Took my dog there for a bite he received in a dog fight. They immediately wanted to do surgery on him cuz they said he needed surgery and he had to be stitched up. I asked how much almost $1,700 they want to charge me. now they didnt even really know if he needed surgery they just want to do surgery. I said forget it can you just clean it up and bandage it and Ill take them home want to charge me 650 dollars just for that. I said nobody Ill take him home take them to regular vet in the morning $350 later wound cleaned up cone on meds given and I was done. This place is on ripoffs and there are only after money and thats it
Our 18 month old kitty was not himself. We took him on a Sunday up to Garden State Vet hospital in Tinton Falls. They ran blood work which came back normal and sent us home. We knew he was not ok. On Tuesday he really was not improving and a friend suggested I bring him to Priority Vet. The staff was caring and engaged from the start and Dr Juliano was extremely thorough. I also felt that he was genuine in his approach as he was not out to have me spend unnecessary $ for tests that did not make sense to have. I immediately knew he was in the right hands. Less than 24 hours later our little guy was back to doing the quirky little things that make us love him. Thank you to all of the staff. Your work makes such a difference in people’s lives.
Dr. Cudia was the most rude, unprofessional doctor I have ever spoken to. I would never trust him with my dog again. I reported him to the NJ Veterinarian Board where he already has multiple complaints and cases filed against him. All the other staff there are wonderful. I’ve also heard good things about the other doctors there, but my experience was Dr. Cudia was terrible. The way he speaks to people is a disgrace and he didn’t give my dog the care he needed. Go to Northstar they are professional, cost efficient, trustworthy, and compassionate. I had a great experience at Northstar and it was half the price Priority Vet wanted to charged me. Do Not Trust Dr. Cudia.
I had just moved down to the area last year & my poodle mix got sick, of course on a Saturday night...I brought him there and he received the best of care and compassion, he was a very needy separation anxiety rescue...I felt comfortable with all involved with him...Dr. Cudia took the time to explain things to me on my second visit there & I will be forever grateful for their kindness...”BobBarker”, the poodle has since passed away & now just the other night had to bring my new old rescue there for treatment...and again the same from all involved..definitely a wonderful urgent care place for your pet
Dr. Juliano and his staff are the greatest
Myfriends cat was caught in the fire when his house burnt down just a couple of days ago. The vet here went way beyond in taking care of Blaze, and he still is. He has gone so far as to taking Blaze to his PRIVATE HOME for the past 3 nights. And his com;passion goes even further with the fact that he is doing this all free of charge. Now where can you find a veterinarin who would do this. My friend Mark, myself and Blaze will be forever indebted to this amazing man
So happy with the new hours. It was only minutes after Maggie hurt her eye that we headed to the office. She was seen immediately and I was happy to hear it wasnt anything to be worried about. Maggie is afraid of people because she is a puppy mill survivor. Everyone was so kind to her she was very relaxed. So happy to have you near. My neighbors and I have used you a number of times and we have been extremely sarisfied.
In an emergency, when youre frantic about your pet, Priority Vet just takes over! Dr. Cudia and his staff are thorough and professional, explaining things at every step. Most importantly, everyone is so caring, putting you and your pet at ease. Their follow ups complete the process of making sure your pet is doing well. I feel very secure knowing that they are close.
I have been to Priority Vet several times. The staff has always been friendly and the veterinarians there wonderful. They are my first choice when Im in a situation with my pets. Its nice to know if I come home from work and theres an issue I can run right over there.
The absolute compassion that was showed to me last night by staff and Dr. was beautiful. Even in this trying time, when you have to wait outside, I noticed every pet that was brought in and out and your team was so incredible with each and every pet and pet parent and they deserve the recognition due them. I am so thankful that my Fur Baby, Chase, was in the best hands as he crossed over the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge. You let us have our sad goodbyes with patience and understanding. Thank you!!!!!! 🐾🐾❤️
They looked at our dog right away, diagnosed what we is that they were able to find an issue causing his itch and fix it that our previous vet did not properly address.
My dog was behaving like he had bloat. They got us in, got him checked quickly, diagnosed the problem and he is doing great. They were pleasant, and professional. It is so good to know that they are available late in the evening as that always seems to be when stuff happens.
They took us in late one night right before closing and were very helpful and thorough. They took their time even though they were already closed. Very grateful
Last night my husband and I had to take our cat Morgana to the Priority Vet. She had been ill but it seemed she had taken a turn for the worse. After some tests were done our fear was confirmed. She had several things happening with her health that could not be fixed or even managed. We made the difficult decision to euthanize her.We were allowed to sit with her for as long as we wanted and I held her as the Dr gave her the injection. After it was done we were told we could continue to stay with her as long as we wanted. This was a very painful experience but I am so grateful that Priority Vet was there. The staff were so kind. And I could tell they really care about the patients they treat. Their kindness, experience and compassion helped us get through this painful experience.Thank you so very much to all the staff at Priority Vet. We appreciate all you did more than I can ever truly express to you.
They(the staff and Dr. Juliano) were prompt and thorough treating our Peanut. They clearly understand the anxiety of having to bring your little cat to an emergency facility. I hope I never need emergency services again, but if I do I would bring them to PriorityVet.
Sadly, I met Dr. Juliano, and his staff on the worst day of my life. Nothing in this world could have made it better. The compassion and care that they exuded towards me, but more importantly, towards Jonah was immeasurable, and I will be eternally grateful. Thank you.
This is a newer facility here in Toms River and so I’ve never been here before and thankfully never had an emergency until tonight. My cat had been coughing for 3 days and I just noticed his labored breathing. Knowing cats present symptoms late in an illness I was so distraught. I called 2 vets before this one and one told me it would be a 3 hour wait and one told be it would be $150 just to walk in the door! I called this vet and right from the beginning they were so nice! Thankfully they are only 10 minutes away and the were waiting for me at the door to take my cat and I into a room. They were so wonderful with my cat and although he is very calm I was a little nervous on how he would react to a new vet and they made him feel so comfortable! They loved him, cared for him as I would, and were so wonderful in general. Any emergency vet will be a bit more expensive than a vet with normal hours but this vet was actually pretty reasonable and really worked with me and my cat. Turns out he has asthma! After a few injections and steroids to go home with he’s doing great right now. Thank you al so much for the wonderful experience and care right from the start! I would recommend this emergency vet to everyone!
Great experience, everyone was extremely helpful and professional definitely worth choosing if you are in an emergency situation with your pet.
I don’t know about the bad reviews. But I can honestly say that they’re good. We had an emergency at 11:50 pm and we called they told us they’d wait for us and they did. They took a look at our bulldog Leia, asked if we were ok with prices beforehand and they helped us. I would go back, in fact, thanks to Dr. Damian Mazzocchi who we knew prior to this visit from another establishment, I’m so glad he was the one who helped us. He’s an amazing doctor, professional and very comforting. That’s how a doctor should act and be. Thank you, you did amazingly and we’re grateful.
Is there anything worse than having a sick dog? Yes, having a sick dog after hours and not being able to find help. PriorityVet saved the day for me and my miniature dachshund Nellie. They were incredibly nice on the phone, careful when we got there (taking the virus precautions), prompt, and rendered great care. These days you cant accompany your dog inside but I felt very secure handing Nellie over to the staff. Their prognosis made sense, they didnt try to give me more than we needed, and they followed up the next day to see how she was doing (which I am happy to say is fine). (My only regret is that they dont take humans as patients -- I might use them myself. I think I could eventually get used to the cone around the neck thing.)
They took care of us when we needed them, we will definitely be coming back. The staff was terrific.
I cant say enough about priorit vet. They saved my dogs life. Dr Cudia took time to explain what he was recommending as treatment then once diagnosed, he carefully explained what my dog had in words I could understand. Samantha the tech and Kristen put me at ease. I would definitely recommend priority vet to anyone who needs an emergency pet visit.
Compassionate care, my small dog was accidentally poisoned and seniorwe arrived there as quick as possible and they were able to save her life!!!Cannot Thank the whole team enough. God Bless Them all!
Very good and fast service. Even with this pandemic going on the whole staff worked professionally. My dog Sam was in need of stitches and they handled everything beautifully. Thank you!
DO NOT GO THERE!! Very very rude doctor and very poor surgery, surgery got infected and he wanted to charge full price for a whole new surgery on my dog. I refused to pay the complete price I was willto negotiate and pay more then half but this doctor got very nasty and refused treatment of fixing my dogs bad surgery botch job on my dog and extremely nasty attitude about it. Doctor told me they are bringing my dog out to me and refused to fix her infected foot!!!PriorityVet actually everything you did was wrong, theres no way because of the location those stitches would ever hold it was a tremendous waste of money and then you wanted after plan a failed you wanted to repeat the same mistake for the same ridiculous amount of money and blame us for your failure1. the bandage was removed 2 days after surgery, per your instructions. There were no other bandages, so you are lying2. The cheap hood/cone you gave us started breaking 3 days after we got it. We then taped the hood repeatedly and secured it on kallie for another 3 days. Kallie never reached her wound for 6 days now. So, you are lying3. On day 7 debbie bought an open muzzle for kallie, it has a cage so kallie can still drink water. It is not the type of restrictive muzzle that you put on your dogs, so you are lying4. The muzzle was on kallie for 2 hours, because debbie is a bus driver she is home in between runs and is with kallie alot, she does not work for 8 hours, so you are lying againSo then you got very rude and belligerent to my wife because she refused to pay again for another surgery. You have a very very dark side to you and should seek professional help and also customer service classes would assist as well.5. We took kallie to another vet and he said he would never do surgery on the foot in that area because sutures just will not ever hold. The injury was in a very bad location for sutures. And also, per your advice, giving kallie drugs to immobilize her for 2 weeks would be an unprofessional way to handle this situation. Kallie is healing very well and we are very happy with our new vet.7.you are money hungry, its obvious the surgery was not necessary and this never should have happened. And you still wanted to do another surgery and take another 1200.00 dollars from us
Was ok. Intake girl and check out girl were sweet and the vet was thorough. My pups walking fine now. The vet tech was the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. She was not a “people person” and was pulling the dogs front legs on the scale when we were there for his elbow injury. Had a very gruff demeanor towards me, otherwise it went well. Price was expected for an after hours vet.
We took our 8 month old golden doodle to them the other night after he ate a sock. The place was excellent & clean. The staff was very nice and sweet to our dog. We felt they were efficient and explained the recommended treatment, as well as, associated costs. We were in and out with a happy pup in less than an hour. Thank you to the staff that cared for Teddy!
Our dog had a pretty bad ear infection, and due to Covid it’s nearly impossible to get into a vets office for treatment right now, a local vet recommended we give them a try. First off they came out and picked baloo from us . Took him in quickly called and confirmed he had a yeast infection in the ear. Advised us he would need a ear flush and some meds and he would be good as new. 15 mins later they brought him out and he was super happy and excited which led me to believe they cared for him with love.150$ for them to examine him I feel is a bit steep but then again there providing a convenience service as they open at 5pm till 12 at night and its first come first basis, very similar to urgent care for humans.Total bill with meds was about 350$ but a week later and our pup is back to his crazy selfVery friendly and caring for your pet I highly recommend them!!!!
I found a lil Jane Doe in the yard that seemed to be hit by a car she was bleeding and barely could breathe! Rushed her in to Priority Vet and they were so Amazing, Compassionate, they spent hours with her cleaning her up to find she in fact had not be hit by a car, she actually had a massive bacterial infection that was comming out from a little wound on her that had a Map fly enter and caused all of this. If the Dr. Did not spend such quality thorough time it would of not have been found! They gave her antibiotics, cleaned her wound, flushed it all out ! She is resting and has alot more Hope ! Thank You soo much Priority Vet for your Compassion !
Took amazing care of my cat, wouldnt go anywhere else.
Had 2 brand new puppies, 10 weeks old, one had a tapeworm segment crawling on her tail around 9PM the first week we had them. Wife & I panicked, brought them here and got checked out right away. EVERYONE we dealt with was SUPER nice and took great care of us, helped point us in the right direction in caring for them after we left and all the girls working were excited to stop in our exam room to see our puppies. They all helped put my wife & I at ease as it was our first pet emergency. Might be a little expensive (its an emergency vet after all) but the convenience of having good people nearby who know what theyre doing in an emergency was well worth it.
I would highly recommend Priority Vet to everyone! They are awesome! I wish they could be our vet! From the initial phone call, to going in, they were so extremely nice, caring, understanding, took great care of our dog & she is on the road to recovery! Thank you all for all your help! 🐕❤️🐾
I called ahead to check on wait and was told to come on over. I was also told at that time the cost for the exam. My dog and I were greeted as soon as we walked in and the technician and assistant introduced them selves; They brought us in an exam room and my dog was treated. The entire team were friendly and professional. My dog was cared for and treated exceptionally. A big surprise was the cost. It was less or very comparable to my regular vet. Would definitely use again and will recommend.
They were wonderful, would recommend to everyone!!
We had a very scary situation with our puppy, Scrappy and Priority Vet was at our rescue. The staff was awesome, friendly and very knowledgeable as to what was going on with our little guy and how to treat him. A very special thanks to Dr. Steve and Dr. Tom for being the best. We will definitely use your facility again. Much gratitude to all of you.
Caring staff and knowledgeable doctor, all of whom made a stressful emergency medical situation bearable and successful. So awesome to have this kind of emergency medical care available for pets in the after hours. Thank you for making every effort to make my Mack comfortable and alleviating a potentially life threatening illness .
Very friendly staff. They treated my sick dog quickly and were very helpful. Very happy with the service and level of convenience. Good to know they are not too far!
Edited for response:Took one of my dogs there who has a couple issues and burned up a 105.8 fever while we were home.Spent awhile in the waiting room for them to tell us exactly what we told them and then charged us a visit, while giving us other options to spend money on things we already did. They didn’t check his weight or his fever either.Clean place but it was a waste of time and money. Took him to a vet the next day, and they were able to actually help my dog.*****Edit:Yes my dog is not in my name, since my boyfriend and I took him in after his brothers passing, it was originally his dog. Dog is still in his original mothers name. I called, I was there, I paid the bill.As for the exam, I told them the information of his temp and weight. they did not take his temperature nor weigh him. If they weighed him he must have lost 9 lbs overnight when he arrived at another vets office the next day, because he was no longer at his normal 64.2 - 64.7 lbs. MY dog weighted 55 lbs when he was at your office, but they would have never known that since they didnt examine him. Even though I brought up how I was concerned about his weight loss. What they left out of record that we did do current tests as well.. only a few days old and we were waiting on test results, yet they offered to do the tests again for some reason? They offered everything I have done and medication I already have. Yet somehow your office thinks we only did testing months ago.As for the phone call, you called my boyfriend who would never saw how he feels, he would just not go back. He does not like confrontation. He never said he is doing much better at home all he said was that he thought the mediation we had was working because he had more urine coming out. But at the point he was already being seen by another vet.
They were vet nice but I feel the Dr Steven Cuddia did not do anything for my dog Kobi. A 11lb yorkie he evidently injusted some thing toxic. All he did was an eval and blood test. Did nothing for our dog and charged us $726.00 shameful!!!!
I just brought my cat in, who had intestinal issues and thank God for priority vets hours! The staff were very friendly and informative, the establishment was very clean and neat. We loved it here and felt very comfortable and welcome here. Also by the time we left we were very relaxed!! Thank you for taking care of my pumpkin!! 😸
Just left here with my Dogo Argentino, Judge, and his beautifully stitched up neck laceration! The girls and the doctor were wonderful. Reasonably priced as well. We were in and out quickly, and Judge loved the staff :) Thank you guys!
Excellent care and communication
😦 700$ for blood work 💉 and antibiotics 💊 😣... BUT, my 🐕🔙🔛🔝💯👍💪
Brought my pitbull Luna for an allergic reaction and the staff was awesomely friendly, with a clean facility compared to others Ive been to funny even come close! They took their time to treat her correctly without rushing you put the door just to get $$. I definitely would recommend coming here you wont be disappointed.
Dr Cudia and staff are extremely professional and passionate about what they do. I brought my dog there after hours with a severe allergic reaction and they diagnosed the problem and was able to reverse the effect of the allergic reaction. They truly understand how much we love our pets ... Thank you to Dr Cudia and staff
I went to PriorityVet and they were absolutely amazing. I took my 11 yo Old English Bulldog who had breast cancer to get euthanasized and the Dr. And staff made the process less painful. The Dr. Was able to explain the entire process without skipping any steps. Victoria and Alexis made me feel very comfortable and I was able to trust them completely. Victoria went out of her way to make sure I was feeling okay and helped me so much. The entire staff was excellent and I highly recomend this place to anyone seeking vet help.
This guy, Dr. Cudia is very odd and quite scary. I chose not to take the medication he prescribed and he got nasty and name calling. When I said I wanted to pay the $270 for exam visit and leave I waited out in the lobby while he talked trash about me thinking I couldnt hear him. Then he came out into the lobby and got in my face. Something is mentally off with this guy. Thankfully I went elsewhere in NJ and they were able to assist me. They did tell me they have heard many odd things about him so far. Word of mouth travels fast. Beware!
We had to put down our family dog the same day we lost a family member. They were incredibly understanding and helpful. I highly recommend.
My 4 year old Akita wasnt doing well. We took her to Priority Vet. They took her in and examined her and she was already gone.Dr. Caudia and staff were so nice and compassionate during such a difficult time. They gave us some time with her- never felt rushed. I wish they could be my regular vet but its great to know they are there after hours for my other pups. Thank you Dr. Caudia and Staff
Great after hours veterinarian doctor. Dr Cudia and his staff were friendly, attentive and caring. I highly recommend this office.
Dr cudia starts of real nice, our panting cat with low temp was suggested to need everything but the kitchen sink. As Im an EMT the cat obviously has shortness of breath. In felines usually heart or lung but this animals is prone to dehydration. Dr cudia starts to get VERY loud as he demands a signed contract of treatment and a $1,000 dollars worth of tests!!! And specifies while my pet is panting....he wants ALL the tests done so he can diagnose!.....that doesnt include treatment.waste of time and money... CROOK!!
I have been to Priority vet twice in last 3 months. Exceptional service. Being a breeder of persians for 15years, it is nice to know that there is always a vet available after normal business hours during the week and weekends!!! The wait time is very minimal....
Dr. Cudia is arrogant, ignorant and very money hungry who lacks compassion for people and animals. I strongly recommend people to go the extra mile somewhere else if you want a honest vet. Don’t trust his judgement, especially when he tells you to euthanize a beloved animal and gets nasty to you when you want a second opinion. He wrongfully toldme to euthanize a rescue kitty I brought in who is fine now. I’m sure I’m not the first one either.. id hate to know how many animals he wrongfully told clients to euthanize because of his poor judgement.I brought a very friendly kitty in with an injured leg. He was limping. Brought him straight to priority vet where he was seen by dr. Cudia who owns the place.I used to come here all the time with rescued animals but saw an amazing vet who is no longer there unfortunately. So Cudia is who I saw this time unfortunately, and after this experience with Cudia not anymore. And I will strongly recommend all my local rescue friends to go else where from now on.Cudia barley did an exam on the kitty I brought in and pulled him out of the carrier with a leash and didn’t even give him a chance to come out on his own. Jasper (the kitty) would have came out perfectly fine on his own. He is as sweet as can be. He wrapped him in a towel once out while the tech was holding him, felt his leg I told him he was limping on and said feels like an abscess. All within a minute and then put him back into a separate carrier (no idea why).Well once he put him away he said “now that he’s out of the way, we can talk. He needs to be euthanized” he said very bluntly. He automatically assumed he was bitten by a rabid raccoon because there was a case last year of it in the area..I was told by him he would not do any further treatment to put his staff “at risk” even though I told his tech all this at first who told him. So why not tell me as soon as I walked in you wouldn’t treat him like other vets do so I could go somewhere else who would? Cudia just wanted to be able to take him out of the crate so he could make $89 for an exam fee in 60 seconds and tell me there’s nothing else to do.He wouldn’t do a full exam on him, or even see if there was a bite or a scratch, wouldn’t even take his temperature, nothing. If he had, he would know his temperature was over 105 Because he had an infection Northstar said.So when I told Cudia I would go to Northstar for a second opinion since he refused to give him antibiotics etc, he got in my face and really nasty as I was trying to switch Jasper into his carrier he came into saying “this is why I don’t work with rescues because people like you who make bad decisions!” Then proceeded to tell me to leave and not to come back. (Like I ever would after this)Because I wouldn’t euthanize a cat that came to people for help??? You’re going to get in my face and tell me I’m making the wrong decision?I brought to Northstar weeks ago right after I left priority vet. He was given a full Examination, his abscess was lanced to let the infection out, and he was put on antibiotics and pain meds, given fluids, etc and is doing so much better!I actually just also got a bill in the mail from Cudia who is chasing me for the exam fee now which I have filed a case against him to the veterinarian medical Board.I have never had a vet speak to me or treat one my animals like this before like we were annoying him and treated us with such disrespect. He should be ashamed of himself. PLEASE think twice before going here, even if it’s the closest vet at the time. You may just save a life by going else where..
We had a wonderful experience tonight with Dr. Steven Cudia and the staff at Priority Vet. My baby is feeling better already. I wouldnt hesitate to use their services again and I highly recommend them.
I am a multiple pet owner and I have established and currently maintain a small TNVR (v=vaccinate) cat colony. And I must say :Before you complain or bash any highly educated, certified, professional veterinarianPlease remember:Every case is different. Practicing medicine is more complex than we can imagine. Often, there are complex layers as to why there could be a long list of testing required for an ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS.To any non-veterinarians or lay people (this includes any human medical personnel):Please consider what you could be doing when you post a sarcastic or an extremely negative review to the general public.REMEMBER:You are full of emotions. Please, take a fair amount of time before you hit the send button on your post.Your negative post could keep a pet owner from using a local Specialist. Please, remember that in urgent/emergency medicine, TIME CAN BE CRITICAL !We are not vetrinary Specialists. An emotional filled post could COST ANOTHER PET TO LOSE THIER LIFE.I understand our emotions and it is difficult.Thank you !Lastly, COST should not blurr our logic and run our emotions.Give yourself alot of private grieving time before publicly blasting anyone (especially a person who has dedicated thier life to enrich the lives of others).
My pup got hit by a car on Sunday evening. With it being so late in the day my normal vet (also my place of employment) was already closed for the day. I took her straight to priority vetsince it was so close to home. The doctor and staff were very kind and helpful and took her right in and began working on her. Unfortunately the power went out before we could continue her diagnostics and we had to go elsewhere, however I am fully confident that everyone at priority vet that night we’re capable of helping save our baby. If it weren’t for them helping to stablize, we would have had a hard time making it to the next location. Thank you to everyone there who helped our Rey!
I was at the clinic last night for my cat Blue and he was very sick, and with instructions of my vet I was asking the vet from the clinic to just have my cat to catheter insertion to make him feel better because he has had a bladder infection and the next day I was bringing the cat to my own vet to continue the therapies, and when l went back to pickup my cat he took off the catheter for me to save my money, because l just asked to do just that, first they give one prize and later was $15 dollars more because they cut the cat nails instead to keep the catheter was more was more important for my cat have the bladder emptied then to worry about to getting the nails cut And before they told me they dont have care about the money, but the health of the pet. This is not how you take care of the health as a pet vetinarian and for that reason this morning my cat died at the vet and my vet said why did they take the catheter off when it was suppose to be left in but my vet tried to do the same thing and he died
Unprofessional.
Such a compansionate Dr. we brought our little baby to get check she was having a seizure, unfortunately we had to put her down. Thank you for helping my little Molly.
No recommended at all. The initial call was rude, confusing, and misinformative. The women who answered the phone had no clue.
I took my fish, Martin, in. I am a first time fish owner and didnt realize they were meant to be KEPT in water. See, I was merely spraying him with a squirt bottle every 5-7 minutes.Luckily, the doctors informed me that as long as I got a container (like a bowl, or a professional filtrated fish tank), my fish would survive. Now, Martin is getting along swimmingly!
Friendly staff who cares
Terrible customer service, and very unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend anyone to go to this place. The staff was extremely rude, my mind is still blown by how they treat people, can only imagine how they treat peoples pets when the owners aren’t around.
