Abysmal customer service from Choice Hotels and their franchisee Hammock Worldwide..On January 6, 2019 I booked 2 suites at a Quality Inn for July 1st thru 5th of 2019 at a low rate. My wife called last Saturday, 06/22/19, to inquire about kitchen space and parking. She was informed our reservations were cancelled in February. Monday, 6/24I called and the front desk manager at the hotel informed me corporate cancelled because the rate they advertised was too low for them. This phone call was the first time we heard of this cancellation.Choice hotels (owner of Quality Inn Franchise) found they had 1 suite available for those dates and booked for us at the same rate. The hotel cancelled that reservation that night with NO notification to us, again.Between 6/22 and 6/26 we spent over 20 hours on the phone with the hotel and Choice Hotels. Choice Hotels was unable to book any rooms at our original Hotel (Quality Inn Boardwalk in Wildwood NJ),but, they can provide reservations at another hotel (The Waves) at a substantially higher rate as we need 3 or 4 regular rooms as opposed to 2 suites with 2 bedrooms each. Basically, bait and switch.Choice Hotels did offer us 10000 points for our time and aggravation. To date the hotel and their management have done nothing.
