I have a groundhog digging a deep hole next to my foundation. Critter Control is expensive, but I called them because I thought they would assess and maybe repair the damage. The salesman, technician and manager were all very nice people and I believe they tried their best. The plan was to try for 5 days to trap the groundhog. We caught a raccoon, squirrel, 2 blue jays, and the wrong groundhog! The technician filled the hole, but the next day the hole was back. So that’s it! I paid and got no results. There were no guarantees. I would recommend first trying some home remedies; buy a trap and humanely relocate the groundhog. I honestly think Critter Control is a good company but I would try other things first before spending the money.
Had some raccoons tearing up my backyard. They were scheduled to trap for five days, but on one occasion a trap or two malfunctioned. They acknowledged the problem, offered to trap for additional days, and ultimately caught 5 raccoons. Although it would have been less costly to get my own traps, it’s not one I would like to have dealt with myself. Prompt and communicative, def recommend.
It was a pleasure to speak with Mr. James during his visit. He was very professional and understanding. You can tell he has a passion for what he does. He is very knowledgeable and reassuring. I am glad that I chose Critter Control! His staff is also knowledgeable about their profession. If I could post zero stars, I would, as our experience with Critter Control was that poor. Critter Control sent out a a team to address mole issues on our property in Fall 2020, they spent 3 weeks attempting to trap, and in the end did not catch a single mole. We had more mole activity after Critter Control came to our property than before they arrived. Not good.In December 2020 I shared our experience with the Region Manager, he advised they would be in touch in Feb/Mar to try additional approaches free of charge before discussing a refund; I never heard from them again.My experience could not be more disappointing.
My home was a rent free home for birds. One day I noticed these little mite like creatures in my bathroom. I went to work and googled the possible reason. The answer was simple. The mites were from the birds. I found this company. Read the reviews and went with it. The initial person was very accommodating. We were able to set up and appointment to get an estimate. The technician comes to my home does the inspection and charges 400.00. Ok cool no problem… 2 weeks has gone by I haven’t heard anything. So I emailed the person that sent me the receipt. No answers… Luckily my wife had the business card from the technician and I proceeded to text him. Hours later. I received a condescending email from the” Supervisor” his name is Steve instructing me to follow certain protocol… He attempted to remind me 3 times in the same email on who to contact first. Steve also included everyone in the company on the email. Ok. Cool no problem.I forwarded him the emails I previously sent. I then reminded him of the 400.00 that was pulled from my account the same day of the “Estimate”. After feeling very uneasy about this email chain. I called and left a message. Hours later the phone call was returned. I expressed that I was very disappointed with the lack of communication. He told me technicians were calling out etc. I am very aware of these unprecedented times but an email should have been sent to me just like my money was sent to them. He told me I had to wait an additional two weeks for service to be completed.. Absolutely not.. I requested to speak to the district supervisor demanding a sooner and a money taken off of the bill. Steve never got back to me in terms of money being taken off but the work was done earlier than two weeks. All this could have been avoided had he 1- emailed me about technicians calling out. 2- not send such a condescending email and including everyone in the company to cover himself. The technician that came to my house was awesome. He is the reason this company has a 3 star rating from me.
Sean did a thorough job of cleaning out the bird debris from our soffit, then sealing the area to prevent more bird intrusion. Birds have not gotten back in and we are very pleased with the work done on this job.
We had a foul smell coming from under our stairs which lead us to call. They came out for a free inspection and quoted over $500 just to cut a hole in our wall and stick a camera in to try and find the source. They were unable to locate the source of the smell but did deodorize the area as well as try to cover the hole with a metal sheet.Technicians were professional and friendly but I would not use the service again after paying that much to cut a hole in my wall and not find anything
I struggled to get the team to come and resolve my raccoon issue for 2 weeks. They were unsuccessful and didnt finish the responsibility. I called another company and they completed the job in 2 days.
After a different company failed to solve our squirrel problem, Critter Control came in and finished the job! They were able to schedule us in very fast and fix it within a week after the other company took several months to not resolve the problem! Critter control is with it because they will get the job done.
The guys that came in were great! Quick, professional. And it was challenging as I’m working from home and they were in the same room with me. Would definitely recommend and use again if the need arises.
I was hoping to solve my problem with voles but after almost one year the problem got worse. The technician was very nice but told me voles were very hard to get rid of. I was not told this before they started the treatments.I tried to reach a supervisor 3-4 times and no one ever called me back. Not a good business practice. I was told by the technician to step on the vole hills to smash them down. I have an acre of ground and it should not be my job to step on the hills. I hired the at almost $100 per month to solve the problem. Looks like I made a bad decision. They don’t seem to care that I’m still having the problem nor are the willing to give me some sort of refund for not doing the job.
Everyone that I came in contact with was very professional and knowledgeable made me feel at ease with dealing with them .

Almost 10 years of flying squirrels in the attic causing lost sleep and creepy expectations of where they might end up. Critter Control was easy to work with, did what the said the would do, and even added an unexpected benefit during their last call - which was to add a small guard over a sometimes sticky louvered dryer vent - even though it wasnt on the work order. Highly recommend.

2nd time I had to have squirrels removed from the premises. They are very good. However, I had to follow up twice by phone to insure they were coming. The first time they showed a different appointment time from me, and were 3and 1/2 hours late. I had to call for the follow up appointments. But the employees are all very nice and apologized profusely. I would use them again.
My new “snake guy” was Cody.... he has been great! He’s very professional and polite. Does a very thorough job and loves to explain what he’s doing. Would highly recommend . Randi T

Terrible experience.First: had appointment scheduled that I was specific about my availability to be there. Scheduled to do work to keep raccoons from going under my deck.Despite this, they showed up a week early. I told them they need to come when scheduled.On date scheduled, they showed up 6 hours late. I called several times throughout the day to find out where they were. I was told the manager would call me- never happened. I happened to rush to get to the house and rescheduled my appointment for treatment for cancer to be at the house at scheduled time.They showed up at 5 pm and it got dark while there to do work. I had to leave and would return the next day.Returned the next day and the work was awe full. Nails sticking out, places left with open areas that’s ere to be closed, edges over the deck.I called the sales person who did return and agreed that the job wasn’t completed correctly. He said they would call to schedule a return visit to repair.No call, they showed up again when I wasn’t there and in fact had rented the house to others. I ok’ed them Completing the repairs. I was told they would send pictures to ensure I was happy. Again, DIDN’T HAPPEN.Nate, the sales person responded to me, went and took pictures and sent to me. Better but still not what we discussed. He was to send them out again.I have not heard back despite my complaints. And, they billed the second payment without my approval. The work is horrible and I placed a complaint with credit card to stop payment.Im happy to pay for the work agreed but they have not been responsive and work is horrible.DO NOT USE.
Wish I could leave 0 stars.They put out 2 traps for the large groundhog that I had. 5 days later they picked up the traps. No groundhog but a charge for $1000. No phone call. No info. No feedback. Nothing.When I called they said the company has been sold and that’s their price and their policy.I had used them in the past and had recommended them to others in the past, but never again.Stay clear!

I called Critter Control, to look at a hole in my yard. Randy came out that morning, and identified the probable guilty critter. He gave me alternatives for addressing the problem, as well as his expert advice, as he’s worked in the animal control business many years. Matt came out soon after, twice, to insure the critter would not return. He was also experienced and professional, and finished the work although the weather turned stormy. My experience with Critter Control is positive, they’re easy to work with, and I’d recommend them. Oh, and my critter problem is gone!
Had an unusual situation with groundhog under a shed. Critter Control was creative and very determined to make sure we evicted our tenant. They came back multiple times until they were sure they had blocked all ways to get in and we are thankful for their serve and determination. Thanks
Very quick to respond...was able to remove raccoon by installing a door that once the animal left it couldnt get back in. No harm to animal. Racoons came back a second time in February and was able to gain access. Critter Control came and resolved the issue... hopefully the last time...
After getting no response from multiple sites or being told that my house was out of a service are, I finally found critter control. Joe Feldman came out within two days of me calling. He gave a thorough description of my vole situation and answered all of my (many) questions. He even went above and beyond and removed a wasp nest I had in my backyard. I cannot compare price at all because nobody else got back to me but so far I am very pleased with critter control and especially Joe’s customer service.

Nate & Matt did a great job dealing with our raccoon issue! By the time they were done, captured two large raccoons that were digging up our yard, and installed preventative fencing around the shed to keep them from calling it home! Definitely recommend!
Had discovered a real emergency of an animal decomposing in a crawl space of my home. The stench was quite disturbing and concerning. Critter Control dispatched a highly qualified “extractor” to remove and disinfect the area. In 38 years of home owning I had never experienced this predicament. I’m truly grateful for Critter Control and expert they sent out to fix my very serious problem.

In two weeks there has been no progress in removing the raccoons. There are more than before. The treatment is totally ineffective. I am very disappointed and will work to get a refund of my $1300 if the problem is not rectified They came back three times but they are finally gone I am very happy wIth their service. I have to say when I spotted at bat flying in my home, I was very upset. I panicked and googled bat removal. Critter Control popped up and I called. That was the best decision I made. Not only did Scott find the location of the dreaded bat colony, but he found out where the critters were getting in my house. Within two days (snow storm) the Critter Control team was out and plugged up every crack in my roof line. Bat doors were promptly installed, and were we given an emergency number to call if we spotted the bat again. All work was done quickly, and neatly. Like promised we are bat free. They guarantee their work for 3 years, and are professional and friendly. Scott was our tech from beginning to end. These guys are educated wildlife biologists, they explain everything, and in my case they found that we were lucky enough to have not only bats in out attic, but flying squirrels as well. Lucky for me I choose Critter Control.

My 87yo mother called about a snake in her basement. She is terrified of snakes. 2 guys came out the next day, looked around, couldnt find any snake and BILLED HER $330! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!

We had such Professional Service from Critter Control of NJ. Our Service Manager was Nate. He checked out our problem with what appeared to be suspicious squirrels in our Attic. This was the first time ever we had anything find its way into our Attic Roof Fan. The squirrels Mama just chewed right passed the heavy gauge grid which was covered by the dome of the roof fan. Right away, the Technicians took complete charge of checking every nook and cranny inside and out to assess the possible entry spaces. Once that was done, Nate broke down the expenses which quite honestly with all the work that was done in the days ahead they were back and forth at our house, it was very reasonable and fair. They blocked the access and made it humanely possible for any creature no matter what to get out of our attic. Including a few baited traps. It did not take long for the juvenile squirrels to take the bait and then one after another they were removed! The team was great and very nice, clean, worked well together and wasted no time, making certain that the squirrels had water and then taken to their release area outside my town. I imagine 3 happy squirrels climbing trees for the first time since most likely they were born in my attic. I had no idea until I heard the scratching in my sleep inside my wall. The Critter Control Customer Service was in contact with me and we never felt deserted. This went on for a week and then it was over and the team came back and closed up the Exit door for the cage on the roof and sealed us up. They gave us extra areas of protection as needed and told us the charges up front before doing any work. I would like to say that Tyler was as nice as could be when he showed up twice in one day to get two squirrels so that they would not suffer from lack of water and emotional trauma. All the guys at Critter Control were great, I just cant remember their names but I will recommend their 5 Star Service to everyone I meet. The education process was amazing during this squirrel issue, which was very upsetting to my husband and I. Thanks Critter Control! Great Job...and Fair Service Rates.
Very professional operation. A little imprecise about times, but appeared generally when expected, gave a very clear estimate and stuck to it and the schedule.
Very expensive and they do not communicate with you or each other.1. Cage was placed on wrong side of house from where I was told. Workers left without advising us of change. So we panicked.2. They never told initial crew babies were in house. So door closed behind mom and she destroyed everything to get back in. No coyote urine placed until they came out next day.3. Baby clean up they cut into hardwood floor before cutting wall. Turns out they grabbed babies by cutting wall like I asked them to do. Cutting floor was not necessary as they didn’t use that hole.4. The clean up was a mess too. They brought the wrong stuff had to come back. Told 230-330 arrival showed up at noon. No heads up.5. Final payment they charged the wrong CC. I gave them my husbands and they charged mine.6. Several calls not returned by Tyler would of been able to clear up problems. Felt like the entire event was a mess for $2400

I heard a bird in my fireplace, turned out to be 3, back in July. I had such a good experience with them last year with a different bird problem, I called them again. Ok, I called right before closing, so there was a slight bit of miscommunication, but for the second time, Ed came out and so carefully removed the 2 live and 1 deceased bird every so carefully. I wouldnt hesitate to call them again!! Thanks Ed!!!
