Called Steve to have a tree removed due to the roots getting to big & was very responsive, kept me in the loop with the while process due to being out of state, got the tree down within a week of leaving the deposit & was respectful the whole time.Fair pricing for all the work & detail they do.

Seriously, don’t waste your time on anyone else. Steve’s Tree Service is truly the best. Steve always responds quickly and arrives when he says he will ready to work. He and his crew are fast and efficient but don’t miss a detail. I buy logs from him to split for firewood, and he always quotes me fair prices and brings out good hardwood and no junk. I recently had him and his crew out to clear out an area at the back of my property and spread wood chips there, and to haul away some large steel that was piled at my property as well. They showed up first thing that morning with all the necessary equipment and had everything taken care of in less than two hours. Everything they did was with care and looked amazing when they were finished. He even brought out an extra load of chips to cover the area when he wasn’t satisfied that what was originally quoted was enough. I kept looking at these areas that used to be eyesores on my property all day after they left, because they did such a great job and it looks so good now. Steve is a perfectionist and isn’t satisfied unless a job is done right and every detail handled and things are looking amazing. It’s well worth it to have the peace of mind to know that doing a great job and taking care that everything is cleaned up and looking good when finished is as important to the person you hire as it is to you. Steve and his crew are beyond amazing. I wasn’t home for the start of the project, but was able to catch the tail end, and cleanup.They were in and out in under 5 hours, took down one 30yr old pine and a 5yr old cottonwood, with barely one stick for me to clean up.And it down-poured part way through their job, but they were pros and just kept at it.If I had more trees, I would without a doubt use them again.

We had received 5 estimates for having pine trees removed. Steve’s was by far the best one. They said they were three to four weeks out but called us three days after we signed the contract to come out and do the work since they were in the area which was a pleasant surprise. We used this business to remove a 60ft maple tree in our backyard which had caused damage to our septic lines/leach beds. Not only was Steve and his crew incredibly professional, they were also quick. Steve and his crew even did the whole thing in the rain for us! I recommend this company

From reading these reviews; I can see that Steves Tree Service has had a few customers named Karen and Cheapskate.Anyway, on to my experience: I sent Steves tree service an email on a Tuesday afternoon and told him that I needed a tree removed. Steve called me back and we agreed to an appointment time which was late Wednesday afternoon after I would be home from work. When Steve came to give the estimate we agreed to $1800.00 which I thought was reasonable because it was a 150 year old Oak and it was within 20 feet of the house. Steve came the next week and removed the tree. While he did that, he asked my 80 year old mother to remain in the house. After he was done; you couldnt tell the tree was there. He picked up every twig.In conclusion: if you want a 5 star tree removal at the 3 star price; Steves tree service is probably for you. If you want it done at the 1 star price; hire a crackhead with a hacksaw.

They did a great job removing two very large branches from my trees. Cleaned up the mess, and had a reasonable price.

Called and Steve answered right away stating to text him. I texted him and no response for three days, reached out again and a different guy from their team came out. Took pictures but gave us no estimate stating that they would get back with us by the end of the day. The guy stated that it would be scheduled for 4+ weeks out. It’s been three days and have not heard a word from anyone. Called a different tree service they came out immediately and scheduled tree removal within days

Steve and his team were wonderful to work with! They responded to messages quickly, came out for a quote before I even heard back from other tree companies and provided great services! We had a massive pine removed from right near our house and I was comfortable and confident with their skill level. They also cleaned up the property very well when the job was finished! Would absolutely use them again and would highly recommend!

Called Steve on Friday to remove seven pines, came same day and gave an estimate. On Monday morning he called me that he is coming, came right on time at 9:00 with his crew. In less than an hour the job was done: tree were cut, stump grinded and debris were removes. State of the art equipment, very professional crew. To sum it up: PROFESSIONALS.

Steve and his crew were amazing! They came and worked very hard! I had a lot of brush, debris as well as a tree to be cleaned up and removed. Part of the job was filling in a small pool and taking out a waterfall feature. It looks great! I will use Steves Tree Services again if I need them in the future and would highly recommend giving them a call for your job! They do great work and the prices were very reasonable.

Quick to respond and everyone on staff was very polite. Completely transparent on services and price upfront.I had them out to trim up 2 large maples overshadowing my house and a smaller cherry tree. They did a fantastic job with everything. Not only did they clear all the branches and bring light back to the area, but they took care of some invasive saplings while they were out there. They cleared out all the yard waste as well and left the area spotless. They were quick, efficient and the whole thing only took a couple hours. I am very happy with their work :)

These guys will absolutely rip you off! Not cool unprofessional I made a deposit of 300 and they gave me about a month out no for sure date. My wife found another company a week out and less money! So couldnt get none of the 300 back during a pandemic. These people are trash period. ..

Steve’s Tree Service is amazing! They responded promptly to my call to have a limb removed and were courteous during all communication. The crew was friendly and worked in a time efficient manner. When they were finished, they did a great job tidying up all debris from the yard and driveway. I wouldn’t waste my time calling another company, they are the best! Thanks, guys!Edited to add: I had them come out a week later to fix my yard where the cars had eroded away a lot of dirt and caused very deep ruts. They filled it with gravel, placed a few boulders and made me love my yard again! They really do it all. 😊

We sent for a quote and was called within 5 minutes. He came out for a quote and the trees were down the same day! They have great customer service and did a fantastic job trimming very large trees and removing some bushes. We would highly recommend!

Steve and his crew put a lot of work into getting down a huge spruce that was just inside of my property line. They did the job without disrupting my neighbors and when they were done they had cleaned up replaced everything sans trees. All was done at a very reasonable price and had all insurance paperwork in order.

My husband and I contacted Steve, based on a glowing recommendation from a co-worker, to have two large trees, three stumps, and several blocks of patio concrete that had been lifted by tree roots removed in the backyard of our new home. The process from start to finish was incredibly simple and efficient; Steve really goes above and beyond with his communication - he even sent me a picture of our tree being lifted out of our backyard via text, since I was unable to be home to see it! Steves Toledo Tree Service (Steve) did a phenomenal job removing a dying massive oak tree in a difficult to access location.Steve was quick to respond to our request for a proposal and followed up promptly with all necessary paperwork. Steve worked with us to accommodate our specific schedule. Communication was always prompt, straightforward and Steve did everything exactly as promised. The crew and equipment arrived on time as promised, took down the tree with incredible precision, hauled everything away and left the job site in perfect condition. The entire team was very careful near other trees, shrubs and landscape lighting making sure that nothing was damaged while taking down a very large tree. Steve and crew did an excellent job of removing large portion of tree from my garage roof and then cutting down and removing the rest of the tree. Small space and difficult access did not deter them from doing a great job. I got an estimate the same day I called (Sunday) and the tree was removed the next day! I highly recommend this company.

Short review: Steves Tree Services is exceptional!Longer review: I was very impressed with the quality of service and professionalism that Steve and his crew showed. They arrived to cut a massive oak tree at my next-door neighbors house, and I asked if they could cut an ugly Siberian elm on my lot. Steve quoted me a fair price, and they cut down my 60-foot eyesore in one hour the same day. Then, in an even more epic example of service, the neighbor on the other side saw their great work, and they cut down her 70-foot maple tree that same day. Three trees, three different houses, in one day. Not to mention the fact that they cleaned up every scrap, leaf, and pile of sawdust. Friendly folks with a can-do attitude and who did not gouge us. Oh, and cutting down each of these trees involved navigating around utility wires, buildings, and existing landscaping. They managed to take down my tree without so much as breaking a single lily stalk (I have tons of different lilies right around the now-gone tree).Highly recommended!!!

I contacted 3 different tree removal companies. The largest never bothered to even get back to me. The second gave me an estimate but on the wrong trees. Finally I contacted Steve’s Tree Service. I got a response the same day and an estimate the next day in the height of the busy season. They got me in the following day (which was amazing considering the weather wasn’t cooperating) and did an outstanding job. They also had the best price. I couldn’t be happier. Steve and his crew did an amazing job clearing out two of our trees. One of which was about 80ft tall. They knew exactly what they were doing and the work was done flawlessly! They were also very respectful of our lawn,landscape and absolutely incredibly precise in how they worked their equipment. Steve and his crew did an outstanding and timely job! From the time of estimate to completion of the job was 30 hours. Three trees removed and stump grinding completed. Their clean-up was outstanding. We had them bring in some dirt to level the areas after stump grinding and it truly looks amazing. They hauled away everything and it was the easiest service work we have had done at our home. Highly recommended.

Steves Tree Service did work for me in Spring 2018 and did such a good job I had him come back in September 2018 to do another job. From first contact with Steve, to end of job, Steve conducted himself in a very professional manner, going over all the details of the job so that we were both on the same page. Steve and his team are very good at what they do. Steve is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. I must say it is sad to see trees get chopped down but these guys git r done professionally and safely.

Steve gave us an estimate within an hour of calling. Then, observing how immediate the situation was, he brought a crew back out at 6pm the same night to remove the tree, rather than waiting until morning. The safety of our property, home, and our family was clearly his utmost priority. You cant put a price on that!

Hired Steve‘s Tree Service To cut a tree down for me. It was done in a timely and professional manner. Steve personally came out and set the job up. His crew then went to work and knocked it out. They cut the tree down, cut out the stump, filled in the area where the stop had been, and then cleaned up after themselves. You could tell they knew what they were doing by the way they worked. I would definitely hire Steve again and recommend him and his crew to anyone in need of their services.

I have used Steves Tree Services in the past. He always has been professional, competitively priced and communicates at a high level. I also think he takes pride in his work. Today, Steve and his team removed a 40 or so Walnut tree from my back yard. It appears it was hit by lightning since the bark started to peel off pretty bad. His team arrived this morning and took about 2.5 hours to complete the job as quoted to include removal of the tree and grinding down the stump. He even delivered some dirt and road stone for me. I am very happy with their level of work and professionalism of his whole team. I would definitely recommend Steve to others and would use his services if needed in the future.

This was the worst experience we have ever had. Steve came to our home, we had 28 + shrubs that needed to be pulled. I asked him to sit down and talk with me about my landscaping goals and what I needed from him. He arrogantly refused. I told him my thoughts of pulling the shrubs myself, he said NO far better if I do it! So we had him the go ahead and agreed on $500 for the job. I came home from work to find out that instead of stumping or pulling them, in my area to be landscaped.... he took a chain saw to them leaving the tops in plain view!!! The few he did stump broke a house window that cost $350 to replace. When my husband called him, again the arrogant and argumentative attitude! Tried to tell us our landscaping job should have been 10,000 K! We decided we DID NOT want this person any where near our property or us ever again. We had to pay another company to get all of those stumped bushes out of our yard and pay for the window. I hope it doesn’t happen to any one else. Say no to Steve’s tree service!

Steves crew responded to an emergency. A large tree limb fell on our house. They responded immediately. Not only did they take care of the limb they cleaned up beautifully and removed the problem tree. They all worked extremely hard! Can not thank them enough! Very reasonable price for all that the work entailed. Would highly recommend.

Contacted this business for a quote on having a few trees removed. I had him stop out last year for a different job and did not use him, as I want to get the best deal available. When he arrived to do the estimate this time he sent me a text that said Ive already been here a few times, never gotten anything so curious why you keep running me out? Gonna pass. Thanks. I have contacted a few other tree services that we contacted last year and didnt use and no one has been rude and not willing to provide a quote. I told him to have a good day and he replied I m not the cheapest guy so I wouldnt get the job anyway.....

On 5/21/2019, the owner of Steves Tree Service came to my home for what he called a free estimate. Upon his arrival he stepped out of his vehicle with a cell phone in his hand. I began to explain the work that I needed done and he began to laugh at me. I also heard another individual start laughing on the cell phone that he was holding. He proceeded to tell me that he would not provide me an estimate and proceeded to call me names. He told me that he had his friend on the phone and that his friend told him about me. His friend(another toledo ohio tree services owner) tried to collect money from me for services he never did). His friend collected(from what he told me) a fully refundable deposit. Then when there were no services performed, he tried to keep my deposit for no work performed. Steves tree service discriminated against me based his friends recommendation. He came to my home to never give an estimate, but to trespass on my property and laugh at me. He acted very unprofessional, rude, and acted like the whole estimate was a joke. The owners loyalty is not with his customers, but with his so called friends in the business in which he hears untrue hearsay. I would never recommmend this company to anyone for any kind of future business.

Rude. He came to my house to give an estimate. I told him I had one for $500 less, and he said the other guy probably underbid the job. I said thanks, we will let you know. He got snippy and said “so that’s a no go then?”, got in his truck and left. He sent a text 20 minutes later saying he didn’t want to do any work for us. Just all around rude.
