When it comes to this place, a five out of five doesn’t even begin to describe it. Each Sensai that has taught my children brings his own personality to the mat while being amazing with children. Sensai Jack is demanding with an easy smile. No child is wasting time admiring a marvel superhero when Sensai Jack is around. I’m so impressed, I am hoping/planning on taking classes myself when the time is right!

Highly recommended for birthday parties. Instructors were VERY good with kids in my sons group (3-7 yrs). They set out two tables for us, and provided plates and plastic forks for food and cake. Bring your own food and drinks. All the kids got shirts in the package we chose (I believe it was $400 for up to 10 kids). Overall a wonderful experience!

My son has been going here for a little over a year. He loves coming as much as he can that he will run into the building because he is so happy to be there. They also offer a weapons class that my son loves to be apart of. Every single one of the staff members here are wonderful. The are welcoming and encourage everyone to do their best. It is nothing but a positive atmosphere here with the senseis and even the other Kempo students. They have become a second family to us!

I love this place! The teachers are amazing, they make the students earn their advancement and they are always so positive. If you are looking for a martial arts studio, check this place out it is well worth it!

Kempo Martial Arts is a 5 star studio in the Toledo area. Although my son has only been attending for a short period of time, I can say with 100% certainty we are both completely satisfied with both the studio and the quality of instruction. Sensei Tom has been absolutely wonderful with my son. He is able to take his extensive knowledge, expertise, and passion for the art of Kempo and share it with my son in a way that he not only can clearly understand and retain, but that also encourages him and is helping to build his confidence, strength, and develop his love for it. Through all of these different aspects, he is also helping my son build a strong foundation in which will serve him not just in this journey, but throughout his entire life.

Our family is so happy we found Kempo Martial Arts. Our 4 year old son originally started taking lessons then after watching a couple lessons we thought our daughter would enjoy Kempo also. Both kids love it! All the instructors are fantastic and very good with children. There are a lot of classes available to fit in with our busy schedule.

Been going here for over 6 years. I admire that they dont just hand out belts like some other dojos I have seen. You have to work hard to get your belts. You get rewarded based on the effort you put in. I can confidently say that sticking through the 6 years it took me to get my black belt was well worth it.

My kids always have a wonderful learning experience in all of the classes. They learn self respect, discipline, honor, courage, and much more. But the most important thing is that they are haveing fun while they learn invaluable skills. We love our Kempo Martial Arts.

If you are looking for a place to study martial arts, I highly recommend Kempo Martial Arts. The Senseis are knowledgeable and friendly. A variety of classes and times are offered to fit almost any schedule. As a member, I feel like I have gained a family. I have joined gyms and clubs in the past, but after a time, I lost interest and stopped going. Not so at Kempo Martial Arts. I look forward to my workouts and the opportunity to always learn something new. It is mentally and physically challenging, and fun to boot. No drama, no pressure, just a great place to work out, have fun, and improve yourself in the process.

KMA goes beyond martial arts and self-defense. The curriculum and atmosphere really help build confidence, self-discipline and focus in the students. Its incredible to see how students learn and adapt to circumstances and instruction — Sensei Tom has obviously spent long, hard hours choosing and training his team, and the instruction Ive receive directly from him is taking me to the next level.

Kempo Martial Arts is a home away from home for me. Not only do I have the chance to exercise and learn self defense, but I have a fun and loving environment to do it in.However, martial arts itself is more than just exercise and learning how to defend yourself, it is a way to build confidence, discipline, and focus.
