We had water damage in a rental we own and had PacWest take care of the repairs. Our damage happened during an ice storm that caused damage across the metro area. Due to all the damage in the area, it was hard to find anyone to come and help. Our insurance directed us to PacWest. Dave responded immediately and worked extra hours to get work started quickly. Dave and Tyler handled the drying and repairs and we added replacement of the floors in the entire downstairs. They are knowledgeable, did great work and negotiated with the insurance to get as much as we could towards repairs. They were incredibly responsive, organized, on time and Allison always kept me in the loop. They were also very respectful of our renters and kept them informed. I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

PacWest Restoration is the most professional, efficient, caring contractor I have ever dealt with. They responded to my call of water damage in my kitchen due to a slow, unknown leak from my dishwasher. Horrible, as it spread under the laminate without my knowledge. They immediately came, tested, worked and gave me an accurate assessment of the damage. Their knowledgeable team is fantastic. They went over and above the call of duty to diligently work to complete this challenge. Details were their specialty. I cant say enough to describe my satisfaction. My kitchen looks wonderful, thanks to PacWest Restoration. And I am speaking from experience, as I had this same leak, unfortunately, 4 years ago from the same dishwasher. That repair took 4 months and it was a nightmare. I highly recommend PacWest Restoration.

PacWest Restoration seemed reliable at first. Our home had water damage from a recent ice storm. Tyler, handled the Mitigation part of the claim fine, drying the water damage and preparing for repairs. They negotiated a bit with our insurance Company and called us to “go over the claim”.It was clear immediately that Dave, the owner, and head of their repair department,had never looked at our claim and was unable to answer any of our questions. He said, “ let me look this over and I’ll call back with answers in a few days”. That was over two weeks ago, and no word.Update: Dave finally called us yesterday, after no contact from him for two and a half weeks. He had seen this review and called to complain about it. I asked him which part of the review he thought wasn’t an honest description of how he treated us. He replied that he was having personal issues with a family member’s health, and that he no longer wanted to work with us, and hung up. It cemented our opinion that Pacwest Restoration is disappointingly unprofessional.At this point, I would not recommend trusting PacWest Restoration to complete work as promised. It’s likely they will not even call back to talk about your project, despite their promises.

PacWest took over a poorly managed water damage project at my house (big national mitigation firm I’d never hire again). It was a massive and challenging project, but they got it done, got it done well, and were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

PacWest came out to help us get our car out of our garage after a delivery person drove their car through our garage. Id be lying if i said everything was smooth sailing after that but the owner did contact us and made things right. I appreciated his responsiveness, understanding and communication dealing with our issues with one of his staff and the process for payment.

The PacWest team was great to work with. When your home is flooded and you devastated they came to the rescue. They arrived the same day we called them with a large crew of people to help us out. They got right to work assessing the damage, developed a plan to remove the water & damaged material and then immediately started the drying process. Hands down, outstanding company and would highly recommend! In fact, I made several referrals to friends before PacWest even completed the restoration to our kitchen because they were so awesome. Sadly, our kitchen sprung a leak in the wall and filled up with water over night before we were even aware! We immediately contacted Beaverton Plumbing (who is also incredible) and they quickly arrived to shut off our water since we had a faulty emergency shut off valve.Our homeowners insurance suggested another restoration company to evaluate the damage, but I quickly got online to check reviews and Im so happy I contacted PacWest to help us out. Dave was my first point of contact and he was a delight talk to. He was professional, funny, and responded quickly to our problem. We had crews out within an hour to assess the damage and got fans going right away. You never want to have an unfortunate situation that needs restoration services but if you do, PacWest is the one and only phone call you need. When I say one phone call, that was all it took for Dave to respond quickly (on a holiday weekend) and have his team out there on a Sunday to get the process started. They will take immaculate care of moving your personal belongings while they get the situation under control (in our case, a water leak.) The work they do with the restoration is impressive. They found matching tile, base boards, and paint to make it look like nothing happened. However, what truly sets them apart is their customer service. When you call Dave and his team, its just taken care of. You dont have to hound them, dispute the quality of the work, or wait a long time to have your house back to normal. They are reliable, have high standards, and make it so that your unfortunate problem is as easy as it can be. At the end, he gave us a very fair price that we were happy to pay and will do so again. We will have them back to do more non-restoration work at our house because good contracting help is hard to find. Highly recommended!

In September 2019, we received an early morning call from the tenant in our Sherwood, OR house that a toilet in an upstairs bathroom was leaking and the water had traveled across the floor, and was dripped down onto the first floor through a light fixture in the ceiling.Located a state away, there was no way we could rush to our house and check out the damage. After getting a list of restoration companies from our insurance company, we contacted PacWest Restoration, which immediately visited the house and quickly set up fans, pulled up flooring and sheetrock, and provided an initial assessment of the damage over the phone.A week later, we met with David H. whose professionalism, understanding of construction, and reassurance that they could straightaway repair the damage, put us at ease. When he went out to his car to fetch a camera, my husband and I looked at each other and said, “We made the right choice.”While we had a couple of hiccups during the restoration—not related to PacWest—our house was repaired within a few weeks, including replacing the flooring in the kitchen, family room, laundry room, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and hallways, along with replacing sheetrock, painting, and fixing structure damage, the result of shoddy workmanship when the house was initially built.What differentiated PacWest from other restoration companies was their laser focus on detail. The initially quote and report on the damage was 81 pages long with dozens of photos, documenting issues. They also provided detailed work schedules, which not only helped us understand what was being done but enabled our tenant to plan accordingly. Finally, they walked us through the process of picking out new materials, such as flooring, by working through a local contractor supply company, which was an hour’s drive from our house rather than a 6-hour cross-state trek.Without a doubt, they ease of working with them, quality of work, and coordination with our insurance company earns them an A++ rating.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dave and PacWest Restoration! This is hands down the best contractor I have ever worked with. I worked with PacWest on behalf of my mother. She had terrible luck when she discovered a significant roof leak just before she was about to go in for a major surgery. The leak came down from the roof, damaging the ceiling, walls, and hardwood floors. It was a mess!PacWest responded to a weekend call after we had attempted to reach several other companies (most of which did not respond until days later, despite advertising emergency/24-hour service). PacWest promptly and professionally arranged for all of the repairs, and when they were done, the house looked good as new! They also worked directly with my mom’s insurance company, handling all of the negotiations and relevant communications so that she did not have to deal with that stress during her recovery. Dave was also extremely responsive to all of my communications and kept me informed throughout the process.On top of all that, Dave was very kind to my mother. He regularly asked how she was feeling and how her recovery was going. He helped arrange hotels for her when he thought the repairs would be too disruptive and overall was very considerate; always checking in to make sure it was acceptable to schedule work and doing his best to schedule work at convenient times for my mom. It’s difficult enough to find a contractor that does the job right, let alone one that does a great job with excellent customer service. PacWest is a rare find and I highly recommend them!

We had a rotting deck roof caused by a small separation of boards on the railing corner. After contacting our homeowners insurance (Safeco/Liberty Mutual) PacWest Restoration was recommended. Boy, are we happy they were! From beginning to end, the PacWest people were professionals. As it became clear the damage was worse than we expected, they communicated with us and with the insurance company and because our policy was comprehensive, we were able to get it completely covered by insurance. They patiently dealt with the various adjusters we had been assigned to and kept the insurance company at their word. Ive never seen a business have my back as much as these people did. Their communication was outstanding every step of the way. When our project went into the holiday, they made sure we were not left with a mess and could get through Thanksgiving and Christmas, increasing their work hours to make sure we were happy with their progress, including working weekends! There were many check-ins along the way, in which they asked us if we needed anything and if we were satisfied with the work. When an older window had to be replaced, they found the the current replacement no longer had wooden window grids. To solve the problem, they made one from scratch and took great lengths to match the stain and find hardware for it. They guarantee their work and I feel they would be there to help if anything else ever came up. It was a joy to work with this crew. They cleaned up their mess after every day, were courteous, and conscientious. I have no problem recommending them to anyone.

Dave and his team did a great job on our kitchen! While it was a bit stressful to have the dishwasher leak and have to make repair decisions, they all made it actually pleasant. We experienced a basement flood in 2019. PacWest performed our reconstruction. We used the event as an opportunity to upgrade our basement and add a wet bar, add a wall and move a door frame. We unfortunately had a water leak in our basement... after making some calls around town, Dave was quick to respond and get us an initial quote so we could stop the leak and start the repairs. We all lead busy lives, so when someone can be there to reliably do an amazing job, without needing to be micromanaged, all while maintaining consistent and reliable communication... well, it was a complete breath of fresh air from the typical horror stories I usually hear about home contractors. It still amazes me when I walk into my basement, and it looks as though nothing ever happened! They did a remarkable job of matching the paint, the tile flooring, the baseboards... of clearing away our storage bins and racks and putting it all back... At Christmas time we had our toilet overflow into our kitchen downstairs. It was stressful and inconvenient to say the least. I had a leak in my kitchen, right behind my fridge. I discovered the leak early on a Friday morning, when water was coming up from the hardwood floors. I called 3-4 places, only calling places that had good reviews. I was quoted next business day or end of day, with fees for evening visits.I called PAC West and they told me they would move there schedule around to come out and look at the leak. They arrived within an hour and started working on the water mitigation, stopping the leak from causing more water damage and telling me about my options for repairs.They went out every day and made sure everything was drying and showed me the moisture meter. We decided to get the repairs done with them, this made the whole process so easy and the turn around was fast. They worked with the insurance adjuster on the repairs needed and made sure we where happy with the end results, walking the repaired area, with me, a few days later.

The PacWest team was extremely professional, came in on time and on budget. We had a garage behind our office with the most building mold I have ever seen, and now it is a perfectly functional work space. There were a few surprises and the PacWest team never missed a beat. I am very impressed.

These guys installed new vinyl plank floors for me last week. They were awesome from start to finish. I can’t say enough about Dave and his amazing team. We came home on a Thursday evening to find our guest bathroom toilet somehow had a leak in it that caused water damage to our bathroom, living room, parts of our dining room and down below into our garage. My husband immediately called Dave who quickly scheduled a next day appointment for his team to show up and evaluate. Unheard of! We were so grateful for their immediate attention and availability. His team arrived Friday morning and they were extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable, and hard working. This was not an easy job, as they had to rip up our damaged flooring and dry wall but they got this done and fans ready to air out our home over the weekend. The entire process of reinstalling our floors and patching our dry walls took a week, and Dave and his team made sure it was done by Christmas for us which didn’t go unnoticed. I’ve always heard horror stories when emergency situations happen like this but it’s wonderful to say our story because of this company was truly a breeze and enjoyable. Pac West Restoration did an incredible job renovating our bathroom and kitchen damaged by water soon after we bought our house. The Pac West crew was on time, incredibly responsive, and hired skilled subcontractors to undertake the plumbing and tiling work. The owner personally reached out to share updates. We wanted to put a deck in the back yard. We had a budget and some rough ideas, but we werent sure what kind of design we could afford with our budget. The best part about PacWest was how they worked with us to figure out options that were within our budget constraints. Dave was great at working with us to come up with various ideas for the deck design, giving us various options depending on how much we wanted to spend. Once we settled on a plan they were great at keeping us in the loop on the progress of the work, when they would be there, etc. We are completely happy with the final product. We will definitely call them the next time we have a project we need done.

I would give Dave and the entire PacWest crew 11 stars if that was an option. They were recommended to us following a roof leak that damaged the walls and floors in our kitchen. They repaired our flat roof, replaced walls, and then, since they were doing such a great job, we asked them to go ahead and do an entire kitchen remodel for us (floors, counter tops, cabinets). All of their work was impeccable, and beyond that, they are easy to get in touch with and responsive to any concerns, show up when they say theyre going to, and theyre all really nice guys to boot.

I recently had an issue with a corner of my roofed porch sinking and the roof was pulling away from the house. I initially had 3 companies out to quote the repair. The first company gave an absurdly high bid. The other two companies gave reasonable bids, but their communication was awful - they basically just stopped responding to emails and calls, so I assumed they didnt want the work. Thats when I called PacWest. Dave was extremely responsive - he was at my house the next day to scope the job. I had a quote in my hands the day after that. Daves quote was reasonable, fair, and right in line with the other two quotes I got. The work started a week later. Once the work started, I met Jason - he was the lead on the job. Jason was fantastic - cant say enough about him. He was very good at explaining things to me, in a way that a layman could understand. His attention to detail was meticulous - it is obvious he takes pride in his work and carries it out like it was his own house. The repair work turned out great - on time and on budget. After completion, Dave was still responsive and welcomed me to bring up any concerns I had with the work. After my experiences with other contractors in the area, working with PacWest was a great experience. I highly recommend them.

PacWest is a first-rate company! I woke up the day after Memorial Day to find my condo flooded from the water-line which busted from my freezers ice-maker. I immediately jumped on Yelp to find reviews for a restoration company and landed on PacWest and I am so happy I did because they could not have made my experience any smoother. There happened to be no front office working that day I found out due to the holiday weekend. However, I got a call from Dave the owner personally. He mentioned that they were short-handed and that he’d have someone out at some point in the day to assist with my water damage. Within an hour and half, Rob showed up ready to help out. I live on my own, so he did help me move the large items in my home away from the flooded areas then immediately started drying out my place. Rob called me daily on his way to my home to inform me what he’d be doing. Throughout the entire process Dave also called me to check in on me and inform me what next steps were. I was back in my place 9 days later. Although, the flooding was an awful experience PacWest was absolutely incredible. I would call them again in a heartbeat to help with any job, small or large. My condo looks remarkable and I owe it all to PacWest and their amazing team!!!

We started out with another local company, that I would NOT recommend and we did not ask that other company to continue working with us after their demolition of our water damaged kitchen. Our laundry closet was a very small repair job, but they respected us just like a larger customer, and worked to find a schedule and payment terms that worked for us. We had water damage from the snow storm in January 2017. Dave and his team responded quickly and get our place dry and back to normal, and probably a little better. The team kept us current on the status of the project and met the deadlines. Hopefully we never need to use them for that situation again but they would definitely be our first call if needed.

A few days before Christmas we noticed water coming through our ceiling in the kitchen and some of the ceiling sagging. I called PacWest Restorations emergency line at 7 am and by 8:30 two men were out at our house sealing up the leak and removing the wet sheetrock and insulation. The two guys did an excellent job removing the waste, cleaning up after themselves, and leaving our kitchen usable (they used heavy plastic sheeting to cover the hole in the ceiling) until we could get a new roof and get the drywall repaired. We got 4 bids on the roof and PacWest Restoration came in comparable to the others. As soon as a week window of clear skies appeared, Johnny and his team were out getting our old roof off and getting the new installed. The whole team at PacWest Restoration is friendly, tidy, and easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great job!

We had a fire at our rental property in May 2018 and our insurance adjuster said we could hire any licensed restoration company that we felt offered the best combination of cost and service. I contacted several contractors in the Portland area, and PacWest Restoration was the quickest and most enthusiastic responder. David Hins, the owner of the company, showed up the next day (on a Saturday!) to inspect the property and start the proposal process. Since responsiveness is very important to me, I was immediately inclined to hire PacWest, but I pursued bids from several other contractors just in case. We decided on hiring PacWest based on their quick response, deep experience, and great google and yelp ratings. We werent disappointed. Although the project expanded in scope and cost as the restoration process progressed, David was able to get the majority of those costs included in our claim. There are always setbacks with these kinds of projects, such as when a local truss manufacturer couldnt provide replacement trusses in a timely manner, but David was able to find an alternative source to get trusses installed quickly. He also went out of his way to make the whole process go smoothly, such as negotiating a huge discount on appliances from Lowes, which werent included in the claim. He even picked up the appliances from several different Lowes stores since the models we wanted were scattered throughout the metro area. They also cleaned up the work area at the end of every day, which I also really appreciated. Working with David was a real joy. He was polite and upbeat through the whole process, answered phone calls on a timely basis, sent frequent update emails, kept good records, and remembered punch list items that would get added as the project progressed. The tenants were thrilled with their new living space, and we were really happy with the entire process. Thanks PacWest!

We had a 100ft tree fall on our house in early December. PacWest came recommended by Serve Pro, so I reached out. From the very beginning Dave and his team delivered on what I think are the most important things in a home project...cost, quality and communication. Dave is quick to respond to phone calls and email. He and his team did a great job communicating about each step along the way. They rebuilt our house during the two worst months portland has seen in years...ice storms, snow storms, closed roads, high winds, etc. The team worked in freezing temperatures, high winds and terrible conditions, even working on a Sunday to get the job done. Like with all projects there were a few minor hiccups, but Dave acted immediately to make sure all work was done to our standard.
