Dr. Jesalva is expensive and only cares about your money. He wants to see you every month for about 10 minutes to ask you the same questions. During your visit, he seems apathetic, checked out, and bored. Sally Jesalva is in charge of scheduling appointments and communication. She is incredibly rude and constantly overcharges your credit card without any price breakdown or receipts. Consider yourself lucky if Dr. Jesalva or Sally responds to any of your emails, text messages, or phone calls. I explained to Sally that I am struggling financially due to COVID-19 and would like to see Dr. Jesalva every three months. She said, “if you don’t like our prices, then you are welcome to find another psychiatrist.” Shortly after, Dr. Jesalva refused to refill my prescription, and I went into withdrawals and had to visit urgent care. I then asked him for my medical record, and he refused, so I reported him to the medical board. When I needed him to sign my short-term disability paperwork, he refused even though I was suffering because of his inadequate care. This man should have his license taken away for unethical conduct and negligence.

Quite simply Dr. Jesalva saved my life. Had it not been for his insight, asking the correct questions and persistence I would not be here today. I do not think that anyone who has a serious illness should rely on reviews posted, and I would never have posted this unless I felt strongly about it.

Worst experience ever. I went to this guy for one issue and got a prescription. That was fine. But then he kept trying, and initially did, prescribe more. More that I did not need. All it did was make me worse, much worse. Took about a year to get my life back to normal after switching to a different Psychiatrist what knew what he was doing and took me off the extra stuff Dr. Jesalva pushed on me. Avoid!

Dr. JeSalva is a brilliant diagnostician. He utilizes DNA testing to determine what, if any, medications should be prescribed. He is a good listener, but not a babysitter, in that he asks very penetrating questions and obviously cares for your well being.I recommend Dr. JeSalva without reservation.

Recently Met Dr. Jesalva and could have not been more impressed with his knowledge of current studies and genuine compassion for his clients. Dr. Jesalva, thank you for being a strong healthcare provider in the community!

Dr. J helped save my life

Dr. Jesalva is quite simply a psychiatric legend in his own mind. Unfortunately, his true skill does not seem to match his self perception. I found him to be one of the most arrogant overconfident MDs I have ever seen. Basically a drug dealer with a license. Dr. Jesalva treated both my daughters. With my younger daughter all he did was make her a lot more sick and nauseous from his prescription and destroyed her motivation in school. My younger daughters new psychiatrist took her off the medication and she is doing much better without anything new. She never even needed it in the first place, Dr. Jesalva just thought she did. She grades in school dropped and she got behind in school. It was not until the following school year that she seemed to fully recover from Dr. Jesalvas treatment and regain her motivation. My older daughter was spared the severe side effects of her sister with Dr. Jesalvas selection for her, but it still ended badly after some time with a severe reaction to the medication. She had to be taken off it. She is also actually doing better now off Dr. Jesalvas selection that she was on it and has needed nothing to replace Dr. Jesalvas selection. If you want a good example of everything that is wrong with psychiatry in this country look at Dr. Jesalva. He is basically a marketing agent for the drug companies. I suspect anyone, no matter how mentally healthy, that went and saw it would try and be talked into some prescription. In my opinion he is dangerous.
